We ordered our meal at the counter and grabbed a seat at one of the empty tables. They have some hot sauces, ketchup, and coke products at their condiment table nearby the ordering counter. However, I have been observed this Regent and Beltline area is growing rapidly, and so many restaurants have been popped up including this Cowboy Chicken place. This chicken place was recently opened on Regent Blvd soon after Afrah Mediterranean Grill had opened up. The location can be bit tricky to find if you are coming through service road to find it. But the place is one block across the Starbucks nearby RaceTrack gas station and not too far from Panda Express. The easiest way to find it is to locate Afrah Mediterranean Grill, enter into the same parking lot, and you will see this place next to Smoothie King (a nice way to get a dessert after your chicken dinner). From outside, the restaurant looks pretty small. When you enter, however, you will realize that the restaurant is clean has a plenty of places to dine in. Two main standing out features of this restaurant, which become instantly noticeable, are the following. First, as a customer enters, the employees happily greet by saying "~ cowboy chicken ~" in Southern accent. Not exactly sure what the employees are saying, but it definitely makes to feel that place to be interesting. Other unique feature of the restaurant is that you will see a section where you can see chickens are cooked in wooden fire, and that is not only nice to watch but also makes you to trust that the foods are freshly cooked. The reason why I am giving 5 out of 5 is because of the value you can get for the money you are paying. Under $10, I got two sides plus three freshly cooked dark chicken pieces, and that was enough to make my stomach full. You may get the similar amount from other chicken restaurant like Golden Chick or more amount by buying a whole chicken from Costco, but this is as good as it gets if you crave a just cooked chicken lunch that is fresh and inexpensive. I am a foodie myself, and I travel all over the places around the states and even countries to find great foods. I am also leading the weekly casual lunch event at my company.
