Came in here for a 15K service on my 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The location didn't have coffee available nor did they offer shuttle services, but they were really accurate with estimated timing for the service and they completed the work well with a few recommendations. I wanted to have a few extra things looked at on my car concerning audio, but they said I'd have to reschedule when their master technician was working. They held onto our overpayment for 10 days after they were already paid in full and had the title to the auto we traded in. I booked an oil change appointment at Cowboy Toyota. Upon arrival, I was told it would take an hour. However, after a while, they changed it 10 an hour and a half. Then, it would be 2 hours. The Technician, Juan Pena, negatively communicated with me. He told me that there was not a definite time for the oil change. Then, He told me to leave and go somewhere else, if I had a problem with it. I left humiliated, disappointed and without any service provided. I had a good experience purchasing my car here but the service department is completely inept. I bring my car in for a State Inspection / Oil Change / and a leaking tire. After waiting on my car for almost 3 hours... I am told that the tire can be patched and once that is done they will START THE INSPECTION. Are you serious? I was here.... with a damn appointment for 2 hours and 45 minutes and they did not even start the inspection? Their loaners cars are NEVER available. I will be going to my local guys from now on. They have zero idea what matters to customers here. I should charge them for my time. Inconsiderate and out of touch. As an aside... I was commiserating with two other women in the. sam situation. I really appreciated the honesty of my service rep Justin. I came in to have my oil changed and truck serviced. During that time, there was some minor damage to the car that occurred to the truck. Justin spotted it, discussed it with his manager and offered a solution that was completely acceptable. I would have preferred not to have the damage occur in the first place, but I truly appreciate his honesty as well as the honesty of the service department to let me know and make things right. We bought a battery from Cowboy Toyota in November of 2023. The Battery has a sticker that says 48 month warranty when we bought it from Cowboy Toyota. August of 2024 the vehicle we bought the battery for started being extremely sluggish during the ignition process. We had an oil change due so we made an appointment to get the battery checked along with the oil change. We arrived at the dealership checked our vehicle in and was told it would be about an hour and a half, as they were pretty busy. So, we left to run some errands in our other vehicle. We received a call from Cowboy Toyota and the tech informed us that the battery we bought from Cowboy Toyota was indeed inoperable. I said ok so you guys are gonna replace the battery as it is under warranty right? He told us the Battery we bought from Cowboy Toyota that has a sticker on it stating 48 month warranty was NOT COVERED under warranty and we would need to buy another battery from them that would not be covered under warranty. I bought a battery from Autozone that is covered under warranty and then paid COWBOY TOYOTA to install it to get our car rolling. We talked to the Manager and he said they cannot warranty Batteries anymore or honor the warranty; however, no one explained that when we bought the Battery that clearly indicated it had a 48 month warranty. I'll start by saying this: The service manager Joe Hatcher is an absolute idiot and a miserable person to deal with. On 4/18/24, we dropped off our car for a diagnostic and were told it's a $180 fee. To our surprise, the following day we received a call from the service department saying that they were unable to diagnose the vehicle because they "ran out of time". And to fully diagnose, their technician needed more time and we were now being asked to pay $700+ for the diagnostic fee. This possibility was not disclosed to us upfront and we feel it's clearly a deceptive practice(BAIT & SWITCH). We've now been back to the dealership twice asking for our vehicle back, and the service department & GM Tobias Fulton is holding it hostage until we pay them $180 fee for a service that wasn't rendered. If Cowboy Toyota completes the diagnostic, we're happy to pay the diagnostic fee. Otherwise, you are illegally holding our vehicle in your possession. Buying a car in 2021! One, Mesquite is far & I was disappointed with the service and information I was given. I was in the market to buy a new Toyota & called their sales with the stock #, as I knew exactly what I wanted. I made an appointment since it was such a far drive. When I arrived, I asked for my sales lady and was told to go wait in the waiting room. We were waiting and some other man in sales comes to us and tried to get more information from us. It's frustrating because you have to provide so much information as far as name, phone, email, price, payments, what car. We complied & gave all that information & then he tried to put us in a completely different vehicle. We stood our ground (I was still annoyed that my sales lady was no where to be found) & stated , we were looking for that stock # & had an appointment. He then looks in the system & he told us it was being sold. I was upset because communication was not there, and what happened to my original sales lady? We said, ok thank you. That's why we came but you are selling it. We left and he really just stood there. I texted my sales lady letting her know we were leaving because we drove all this way and the car was being sold. Instead of her responding, she had her manager reply. I do not recommend because I still don't know what happened to the sales lady, they we not helpful, & seemed to not care. Other dealerships are more catering, try to make you comfortable, communicate, & give other options. I was greeted immediately upon arrival by Antonio and after a short explanation of the issue at hand he assured me that he would do everything in his power to get me back on the road! After a lengthy ordeal with my insurance company Antonio/his team were able to repair my vehicle and get me back in the saddle quickly. SERVICE DEPT REVIEW Booked an appointment online 4 days ahead for an OIL CHANGE for my 2020 Tacoma. It is better to book an appointment than a walk-in, which I did a few months back for the same service. The wait time was the same (1 hour) but depends on how busy and what day it is. This is my first time to actually get an oil change on my own. My dad usually does this for me. Nick had help me get started. He is extremely nice, attentive and easy to talk to. Then I met Chris while waiting for the oil change. I have been looking for a shade protector for the car. It turns out that they were out of stock but he was willing to order some more. I didn't want to drive back just to pick up one. 15 minutes later, he came up to me with one! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?! He was able to get one from another Toyota location that was about 10 minutes away. I definitely bought it. Nick had even helped me to my car and offered to move it out for me. My husband went and purchased a Toyota Tacoma from this dealership. BEWARE as they title the new cars as USED. After speaking with the rude finance person that actually said my husband was informed of this when he made the purchase, which he wasn't. Then admitted well he signed the papers. Like oh well. I then asked to speak to the general manager and was informed he wouldn't speak to me as I was not on the title. The reason this is a concern is because depending on what the in service warranty date is you might not be getting the 36/36000 warranty. On another note, the sales person was very informative and assured me the truck had only been in the dealership a very short period of time. I made zero comments to trade or purchase a new car, but rather indicated this would be a sale transaction only. This is a shady business practice to lure in a potential buyers. Unfortunately, the dealership listed the vehicle at $33,652 on an outside listing source, CarGurus.com, and then priced it at $37,335 for Cowboy Package and additional dealer markup (ADM) due to supply and demand. They tried to explain the lower listed price as a reset error from the first of the month on the website, but completely burned me at that point since I've listed to sell on CarGurus.com before with no price change issue at any point in the month- much less on the first. It is unfortunate that the dealership uses gimmicks to draw in business. Completely disappointed that they won't stand behind their online pricing. Found a car I liked online before coming here, test drove the car, the guy ran my credit and just asked we were about to sign for everything and agree on numbers the guy (his name was DJ) said that another person actually bought the car already and tried to sell me a newer car. This "new" car actually had some minor damage plus it made a weird noise whenever I would step on the brake from stopping (from 50-0). He said it was something due to the brake system or whatever but I've had 2012 and 2014 before brand new and they have never done that before. He wouldn't budge on the price of the new car and we wasted about 3 hours there. Plus the guy ran my credit without even telling me he was going to do it. I went straight to Toyota of Rockwall. I told the guy there the car I had wanted, the car was sold out. He told me up front that was it sold but that the other cars would be the same price was a new Camry. Which was true. Some used cars that he had was 22k so I just spent the few extra thousand and bought a new 2020 Camry. They lowered the price some on it and I am now a new owner of a 2020 Camry. It was quite unfortunate because I had done business with Cowboy Toyota before and they had lowered the price of a new car to a TrueCar estimate and they tried to sell me a beat up 2018 Camry for the price of a new Camry. Jacob F. was my service advisor, great guy, no upsell pressure! Very nice, clean and new facility. Very pleasant and thorough telephone receptionist that took my appointment for maintenance. Showed up a little early but they didn't miss a beat. Did exactly what they said they would and it cost exactly what they said. Finished about 30 minutes earlier than expected. Car was washed and everything was ready to go. Nothing bad and nobody tried to upsell me! I'm going to go to them the next time and I'll update you if there is any difference. The first time I went to this dealership was during their construction and we considered buying a used Prius. It was a really nice Prius but the prior owner had put in a power seat which that Prius didn't have as an option based on our research and we wanted to stay 100% original Toyota parts. However, that wasn't a bad experience. They were very straight forward and no pressure. So after they finished their new place I went there for a recall. I was given a time slot and I showed up a little early. Every dealer we had talked to about this recall told us it would take two hours as so did their receptionist. I asked about the waiting room and they told me if I like it quiet the waiting room on the other side of the drive (new car waiting area) was quieter and less crowded. Great advice. I started my timer on my iPhone so I would know exactly how long this would take. (A habit of mine.) It was about 8:30 AM on a Saturday morning. VERY comfortable waiting room with big screen TV but not turned up very much which was fine with me. I took a walk around to get some images, which I like to do whenever I go someplace in the event I want to post a review. Sat down in a comfy waiting chair, very comfy, very quiet, very clean. Not plush but extremely comfy. I fell asleep in the chair and I never fall asleep like that. LOL. Before I knew it a woman tapped me on the arm which woke me up and startled me (Like I said I never fall asleep at a business...) She apologized. The car was waiting ready for me, washed and cleaned. I hate to tell you how many times I've been told my car is ready and I have to wait several minutes until it shows up and sometimes it shows up with the maintenance computer not reset or something not right but this dealership didn't do anything wrong AND finished the work 30 minutes ahead of time! I hate to tell you how many times I go to a dealership service shop and the underwriter tries to upsell me. Telling me things like, oh you need to have your brake fluid replaced! (Word to the wise if you drive a Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive car, you might not EVER replace the brakes OR the fluid.) Check Priuschat and they will tell you too avoid replacing the brake fluid because of an abnormal number of ABS failures within a year of changing and flushing the brake system. There are Prius that have gone over 250,000 miles without any brake maintenance other than topping off any fluids. The brakes in a Prius are NOT normally used unless you are doing a hard stop or are below 5 MPH. That is what the regenerative braking does for you.. Then the other upsell is cleaning the "throttle body", I'd avoid that if your car is running smooth. Bottom line, the most pleasant dealership experience I think I've ever had! read more

I purchased a 2022 Ford F-150 on Thursday, Pickup up on Friday. The fuel take was empty and shown 4 miles until out. Not enough to get me home. The person who delivered it to me said they did not have a diesel pump and for me to fuel up and send the salesman the receipt, and he would reimburse me. Later I emailed the salesman Luis asking about the reimbursement, and he said I should not have been told that I would be reimbursed for fuel. I've never purchased a new or used vehicle from a dealership with an empty tank. I guess profit is more important than customer service. I can not recommend this dealer. read more
