Half of the time the cable does not work. Then once I get there I'm being told that the boxes need to be changed put every 2 years. I asked why no explanation just they need to be changed out. Then I'm being told that now cox was purchased by another company spectrum I think. Ughh over priced old system. It's always unfortunate dealing with the ignorant and incompetent. I upgraded to Cox fiber, which means I no longer need their awful panoramic modem. So I went to return it at this location. They told me I was required to have it for the service. I explained I don't need it, that fiber to my own router and mesh network worked fine, they said I had to keep this unless I bought my own modem. Which makes absolutely zero sense. Why would I need to buy a modem for cox to accept their own equipment back? Going to return the modem to the UPS store per cox tech supports recommendation. Whoever owns this location, train your people better. read more

I was with Cox previously for three years and tried to get a better price by going to one of their competitors (CenturyLink). Long story short, the competitor installed a Network that we could not find and it was interfering with the new connection from Cox. I called Cox customer service, and they sent a representative by the name of Danny, who was friendly and professional; however, he was not aware of the current problems that I was having, and I had no idea how to explain it to him. Danny was very proactive, and contacted me on his day off to see how things were going, I explained the issue as best as I could. He immediately contacted his supervisor to send someone to my house to fix the problems so I could get back to work. Maybe 25 minutes later Bruno, the supervisor came to my house and did a lot of troubleshooting and was able to figure out what the problem was and correct it so that I could get back to work. I want to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Victor. I'm moving to Alaska so I was trying to cancel my service. Apparently, in the past when I moved addresses the Cox technician installed the the old modem instead of giving me a new one. So my account was showing I had 2 modems instead of 1. I don't want to pay $200 for a modem I never got! I was getting nowhere with Cox customer care but when I came in the actual store, Victor was so quick and professional. What is wrong with Cox something is always wrong that's what. I have been having constant problems with the DVR. I pay a lot of money for my service but when contact problems happen is it worth it. If it's not the cable service then it's the DVR then keep losing internet connection. This authorized dealer is FRAUD!!!! They go based off what another person says and cuts your services off. They won't reinstate them because they say there's a balance on the account. Yet are using FAKE LEASE AGREEMENTS to cut my service off. The representative victor says their procedures if someone brings a lease agreement they have to call the account owner to verify if they can cut the services off. WHICH THEY FAILED TO DO, when I asked which representative cut my service off he placed me on hold and said the rep is here but doesn't want me to give you their name! First off let me start with 50 stars for Savino. Here's my story: so I had an account with cox for 8 years. During this time it was a constant bill goes up every year and you have to call and fight your way down to where you were before. I got to the point where their "loyalty dept" could no longer work with me as I was an "existing client". I was told they could no longer offer me promotions. After 8 years really?? So I cancelled my service. After a month of homework on other company's I found out they have a monopoly in Las Vegas and pretty much are the only good internet company here. Basically we are in their hands. I spoke to an IT friend and he recommended me buying my own modem and router, then going to just connect service. I went in and explained my situation. Savino was very nice and understanding of the hell I just went through with their company. Not only did he manage to reconnect my service, but gave me a way better deal then their stupid "loyalty dept". Please save yourself the headache of calling and come in to speak to these guys. They seem to have more brain and customer service than their whole "loyalty dept" put together. Great job team!! read more

Lies for sales. I was blatantly lied to about my modem replacement. I was instructed via a cox representative online to exchange my non working modem for free at this cox location. I arrived and was told that this modem is indeed a year and a half old, and it only has a one year warranty. I was offered the options of paying full price for a replacement or RENT, the new improved one for $50 down and $11 and change a month. I refused, and was back on the phone with cox. And was sent this message WORD for word: "Remember that Cox offers the following warranty on all modems we sell. If the device fails completely and cannot be repaired, Cox will replace it at no cost to the customer. Cox-purchased devices, including any kind of modem, whether purchased over the phone or in Cox retail - two year warranty" And now a technician is scheduled to come to my house tomorrow to repair or replace my modem at no charge to me. I'm writing this review specifically for "Joshua" who came out to my house on Marble Peak Tuesday to set up my internet, phone and home security. I'm sorry I don't know his last name. He was SO good about explaining my security system and making sure everything was exactly the way I wanted it. He was friendly and personable, and that's important when you invite someone into your home. He even returned the next day to leave a security sign in my front yard because he didn't have one in his truck. I was having issues with my DVR box, cox sent out a tech to replace it. AFTER one hour and forty five minutes, the tech was able to get the other three box's to work with the new DVR box. The same tech suggested I change from a regular DVR box, to the iCloud DVT box, and to change the other old black box's for newer ones. Okay good idea, ok let's do that. After a five day wait, a different tech arrived at my house, he replaces the DVR with the new iCloud DVR. Two day's later my TV service was having major problem! AIR MESSAGE!!! Check your connections? LOSS OF SERVICE, UNABLE TO CHANGE CHANNELS, I called for tech support, they fixed the issue. WITHIN HALF AN HOUR, I was having the same issues AGAIN. Once again I find myself on the phone with cox support, a ticket was generated on June 9th ticket # CUI000011421085. I was told this was a ongoing issue with the new iCloud box's. NOTHING HAPPENED, until June 29th ticket # CUI000011379252. ! Once again nothing! June 27th I called cox support, I explained the ONGOING ISSUES. I was told cox will send out a supervisor text to my house. My appointment was 10am to 12noon, my cellphone rang at 1159am, hi this is the cox tech I'm running late. I asked if he had all of the four box's to be replaced. NO, I'm only replacing the DVR box. I told him, come back when you have all four box's that have to be replaced. Almost one hour later I get a call from the same tech, i have all four box's that need replaced with me, he said I'll be there in ten minutes, okay thank you. My dog was on his leash and barked at the tech, he asked me to put my dog away in a bedroom? I said he's on his Leach he can't go anywhere. The tech refused to come into my house. At this point I called tech support, they asked my to put my dog out in the yard! It's over 100 degrees and I'm NOT going to put my dog outside in this heat. I've been a customer of cox for OVER 18 YEARS. Today JUNE 28th I will be looking for a different tv provider. COX WILL BE NOTHING BUT A BAD MEMORY. It's LONG OVER DUE TO MAKE A CHANGE. read more
