It was OK but a little greasy for my taste. It was feeling and the sauce tasted good.

We opted to get the…read morethree meat family platter and went with chopped brisket, sliced brisket, and pulled pork. The brisket had an up charge of $4 for each portion which isn't too bad an up charge. We went with corn nuggies (or nuggets if you want to be proper lol) which was a $3 up charge, sweet potatoes, and two sides of Mac and cheese. I'm not sure why I thought when ordering sweet potatoes you'd only get one but when you order the family meal you actually get 4 medium sized sweet potatoes with cinnamon butter. The corn nuggies come with two sides of ranch. The corn nuggies were crispy and hot. The mac and cheese was creamy and perfectly cooked. Additionally you can choose garlic bread or corn bread or half and half. We opted for half and half and both breads were yummy! The cornbread was my favorite. You also get to choose two bbq sauces as well. They definitely provide enough for the whole meal and a little extra. For three people this was a huge meal and we had plenty of left overs that even the dogs got to have some! I picked up my meal from the drive thru and it needed a little time to still be put together. The service was very friendly and happy. The parking lot was busy and people were initially waiting outside when I pulled in. Not sure if it was super packed inside or if people chose to wait but when I left no one was standing outside. I loved that in the window out front there a raptor like dinosaur just chillin as if it's on display. Overall great service, friendly staff, and delicious food! We'll be back to visit again!

The lettuce to my salad was soggy and the turkey tasted like school lunch meat... My mom asked for blue cheese & a waiter came and gave her ranch and said "here". After we paid the bill our waiter literally sat on the table next to us, waiting for us to leave. Overall our waiter had lots of attitude and we didn't really feel welcomed & left with a tummy ache. (The bathrooms were also disgusting )

The turkey is always done to perfection, the ham yummy and plenty of sides and desserts. The salad bar was completely vacant, however...this was somewhat disheartening, considering how supposedly "health minded" American adults are these days. That was our first stop of the day. Cabbage slaw, carrot salad, macaroni salad, olives, huge delicious slices of beautiful tomatoes, gorgeous slices of cucumbers, nicely green lettuce, several types of peppers and ham. Cheese, salad dressing of every kind...best stop so far! Smoked pork, ribs, fried fish, yeast rolls, sliced roast beef, ham, turkey slices, meatloaf, fried chicken, baked chicken, green bean casserole, mac & cheese, cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, lima beans, black eyed peas, creamed corn, greens, rice, fried okra... Pumpkin pie, pecan pie, lemon meringue, peach cobbler, soft serve ice cream, chocolate cream pie, cookies, brownies...oh, I'm exhausted just from trying to list everything! There was so so so much more than what I even listed here, plus the absolute best waitress and Arnold Palmer maker! Why cook at home, burden yourself, spend HOURS cleaning up afterwards and hours more packing everything away? Take yourself and your loved ones out to Ole Times Country Buffet just one time for the holidays and you'll never go back to cooking again! (I sure haven't)

Especially, the abundance of free parking in downtown Lake City. The Friday night I was there, there was music bingo and a live band. They have live music every Friday and Saturday at the outside stage. Monday is game night. Tuesday is Trivia. Wednesday they have line dancing, including classes for like $5. Thursday is Karaoke!!!! They have a "Culture of Generosity" where you can buy a beer forward. I actually got to be the recipient of one of those free beers. And of course, I paid it forward. The BEER: Seymour-Finnegan's Irish Red Ale 5.7%... smooth slightly sweet great tasting all day crushable goodness Hop Culture IPA 6.5% ABV... looks like a hazy, tastes like a west coast, definitely high in IBUs, has fruity pine nose, good if you love your IPAs extra piney, so very hop forward Pickle Sour 4.5% ABV... oh he11 yummm, I absolutely love this pickle sour. Soooo very good! Rum soaked oak barrel aged Big Hal 7% ABV... there was something I really liked about this. It is a brown ale with a whole bunch of personality Don't have the words though. Big Hal brown ale 6 8% ABV... now I know what I liked about the Rum Soaked Barrel Aged Big Hal this is an all day drinkable brown ale. LOVED IT! They had several guest beers and a couple of vodka sodas on tap. I got my standard flight and wanted to try their beers, so I got a red ale, a wit bier, a pumpkin style and a hazy IPA. Nothing was bad but nothing stood out either. Everything was solid. We didn't eat here but the menu looked solid. They had a Mississippi pot roast (Similiar to an Italian beef) wrap that sounded great. If I were a local, I'd definitely come back to try out the food.

Looking around for the Mexican restaurant that I used to go to, I found that it had been turned into Two Fat Guys over the years. Alright, I'll give that a go instead! Inside there are a couple of tall tables to eat at, and then a side area for normal table seating to eat at. The ordering system is counter service, and after I went through the menu I went with a standard cheeseburger and some fries along with a drink. The wait wasn't long, and I got my food and sat down. First, the fries... They were limp and not that great. Also, I asked for some hot sauce, only to find out they did not have any. Ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper... That's it for condiments, as I found out from the completely disinterested staff. The burger was alright... not outstanding, but also not bad. My recommendation? If you are hungry for a burger, sure, go for it... get it to go, because the ambiance and staff are certainly not going to be a positive light on your day. Skip the fries, they aren't worth it. Sadly, given this experience I fully expect to see a completely different place here within a couple of years, unless something changes drastically.
