    With all the negativity surrounding cox communications with pricing and bad services. I personally Just wanted to say thanks to Sergio who was very helpful to me the minute I walked into the door. I literally just left-- and my questions and service request was handled within 5mins. Very appreciative of their service today.

    I am here in line once again to do something simple but can't get through by phone and I have been in line waiting 1 hour, once again ( no exaggeration) Ridiculous. Hire more people Cox I mean you charge an exorbitant amount monthly. Even when your account is on seasonal hold they charge $10 monthly to keep on hold if u travel & have to do that. Great customer care - this review I meant to put in February 2023 but I felt bad and never sent it. Not now after all their bs Update: !!! I'm on the phone for over 50 minutes Because they over charged me again $131 dollars and just to ask get it reversed, they transferred me 5 times and still didn't reverse the overcharge. " They put in a request for me" to get the overcharged payment reversed. Review on January 4, 2024.

    Slow slow slow. Give you the run around when you call customer service. Unfortunately there isn't many other choices in the area.

    DirecTV will not post 2 payments my 83 year old mother in law made on 1/26/26 and 2/3/26. We have…read moresubmitted proof of payments paid by the bank. The bank assures us that only DirecTV can help but they refuse. We have made more than 13 phone calls and submitted 4 incident reports online, as instructed by DirecTV at billing.directv.com. We are told the "back office" has to respond to these incident reports and that there is not other way to resolve the issue. We are told every time that we will have a response to incidents within 3 business days but there is never a response and the payments are still missing. This is an account she had for more that 10 years. These missing payments = $144.21, which is a lot of money for a senior on a very strict and limited budget. She had to cancel her service she is so upset.

As it turns out without any prior call or email or any form of contact they turn your service back on and you end up paying or a service you are not getting. Even after talking to there service representatives and explaining the situation they would not remove the $150 dollar charge even though the new the dish had not be reinstalled. During the time we didn't have the dish we found many streaming services that were much cheaper and would not charge us for services we were not getting. We dropped our Direct TV and have not miss it at all. There service is way to expensive for what you get. Stay away from Direct TV.

    Had a service call today on my Dish system and was so satisfied and appreciative that Ricardo came…read moreout to resolve the problem. Ricardo was the ultimate professional. He called 30 minutes prior and upon arrival was stellar in his customer service and knowledge. Ricardo asked me about the issue and looked at the main TV and equipment. Ricardo then looked outside at the Dish and transponders and told me he recognized an issue immediately. Ricardo installed a new splitter in a better location, adjusted the Dish and tightened everything. He utilized new cables as well. After that he checked the TV statistics and make internal adjustments on all TVs and bingo we has a much stronger signal and TV at all three units. A great value and top notch quality. Ricardo should be training all technicians as his knowledge base and ability to troubleshoot and explain the issue were phenomenal. Highly recommended!

He said he could send us a new remote if we purchased his senior citizen "promotion" of $199/mo that would includes "free" ADT home protection. After going round and round, him speaking disrespectfully the entire time, we asked for our cancellation. He just hung up on us. He needs to be fired, and DISH needs to better train their reps if they want to keep customers.

I've had Cox for cable and internet for years and have never had any serious problems. Sure things aren't always perfect but the problems I've had have been few and far between. Beyond that I just had some of the best service I've ever had from any business when I did have an issue. Not exaggerating here. Called on a Sunday at 3:30 pm due to some glitchy playback from the DVR. Just thought I'd make an appt. for Monday. By 5:30 I had 2 techs at my house working in the problem. Did I mention it was a Sunday? The techs were great and went through every possibility with connectors and the incoming cable, checking everything, even in the attic, and replacing a lot of old connectors and some cable but eventually diagnosing a failing DVR. So down to the Cox store a few days later. Walked in and waited about 10 min for the next tech and was out of there in 20min with a new ( ok, refurbished) DVR that works just fine. Wish I had kept all the names of the techs so I could give them a shout out, they were all fantastic and professional. Yeah, cable costs but boy it's easier to pay that bill when you get service like this.

Basic Internet for $90 a month is outrageous when you compare with other companies and no alternative choices plus half the time the service doesn't even work. Just spent 60 extra dollars this month due to going over which is absolutely nuts as I wasn't even in my house for 24 out of the 30 days Santa Barbara this has got to stop. We need to not have them as a monopoly anymore.
