I've had the worst experience with Cox. It took forever to get fiber installed, and even when it finally happened, the workers kept canceling appointments and delaying the setup. Since September, they've had to come out three times to "fix" the same problem -- and my internet still isn't working. I'm paying for a service I barely receive, and every time I think it's fixed, it goes down again. This has been months of frustration and wasted money. Cox needs to do better for customers who are paying for reliability and getting nothing close to it. Terrible experience. My internet absolutely sucks! It's been going in and out for almost a year. The modem is bad. I have had service techs out in the past that state it was fixed but the same problem occurs after about 1-2 weeks. Our area is not on fiber, so these modems and systems are dated. Instead of putting fiber in the area, they just keep sending out techs to replace one modem with another. Today, the tech came out on a Sunday morning after our internet has been off and on for 3 days. He told us our modem was bad and we needed a newer model. And of course, they are not allowed right now to carry any modems. If o want them to install, it would have to be after the New Year. So now, I have to take off work to go to their store on Monday to pick-up a modem, because the tech won't do that ("not allowed"). Great service. Hope this will improve when Spectrum takes over! But I'm not holding my breath! read more

I went to the Cox store in Dec., 2024 to activate cable service. I spoke to Brandon. He enthusiastically and diligently searched to find me a fair deal. I returned on May 20, 2025 due to an increase in internet service. Once again, I was fortunate to speak to Derek. Like Brandon, he found me a fair price. I'm glad the Cox Pomenade store has employees who go out of their way to treat the customers with respect. I would not be a Cox customer if I didn't have a store like this one to go to . I went to the Kierland Cox Store knowing these guys would be the smartest out there, and I was right. I have had Cox Tech Support for years and it has been wonderful being able to talk to someone on the phone and have them help me solve all sorts of problems on my desktop computer. This time I knew I needed to see someone personally to get help solving an issue with fraud that had happened on my computer by some hackers. I needed information to give to my bank showing I had indeed received support from the Cox techs. First I talked to Nick Hayes who was able to access my account and see the issues that had occurred. I was impressed despite his youth at how professional he is and the really fine people skills he has to help an old lady like me!! I was a college professor and I have a Master's Degree in Spanish but tech things are beyond my knowledge. Nick was able to get the help of his Sales and Op Specialist Dillon Vaughan who was able to solve my issue and get me the assistance I needed to solve my issue. Cox is the only internet service we have had in our home of 52 years. We have been with Cox since 1991, 34 years, and I would never want a different service. Nick also helped me change my mobile service from T-Mobile to Cox since I don't use my cellphone for much except texting. He saved me some money and I am really grateful. It is so difficult these days to get personal, caring, professional, really smart and experienced service from most businesses these days. But I love Cox and especially Nick and Dillon who serve praise and recognition from Cox for all that they did for me. They are the best. read more

I was looking at the previous reviews as my recent experience was different. I had the service before and went to another provider for 2 years. Needed faster internet recently so I went in on December 31st and it was quick and easy. I went back in yesterday and spoke with Brandon George as I thought I was quoted incorrectly. Brandon not only helped me to see that I was quoted correctly, but he also helped me on something that I didn't even ask for which was very beneficial to me. Zero stars. Every 2 years they increase your bill between 25-30% then you go back in and they give you less value for more money. This time I get my bill lowered and within 2 hours I get an automated email and text that the rate was $60 more than what was agreed upon. The State of Arizona AG should investigate this company for how they are "charging" clients. I would be better off with NetFlix, YouTube TV or frankly anything else. read more

Cox Store Always busy, so sign in and expect to wait. They are very efficient and don't know if there is a better way to service customers, not unless there are separate lines. One for equipment exchanges, One for discussing service plans and the people that come in to pay their bill, go somewhere else and pay online or in the mail. The times I have gone in to exchange equipment, it has taken around 10 - 15 minutes so it is not as bad as the line looks. read more

For some reason, Cox Business customers cannot be talked to here. Instead you must deal with a rep that never responds to you. To return equipment they direct you to a UPS Store which tends to be clueless in regards to issues. They told me that they couldn't accept a cable box return as they couldn't find the serial number and they told me the cable modem Cox says I'm renting from them is not in their system so I cannot return it either. read more

I walked in today to drop off some unused equipment and was unsure of the process. I asked Greg what I needed to do and he was very helpful. Not only did he point me in the right direction, he also assisted me in untangling the cords from the devices I brought in. I asked to take pictures of the serial numbers on the devices before returning them (just in case) and he was very encouraging and helpful with that as well! I would suggest anyone ask for Greg when they walk in if they want EXCELLENT customer service! His attitude is what you would hope to encounter - especially when experiencing something new. Cox's Contour I DVRs are all old, and someone previous' problem. Their dvrs constantly lock up and have to take then to the cox store to get another old, refurbished dvr, where the clock LCDs are burned-out from many years of use. My DVRs fail about every 3 weeks and have to be exchanged. Cox yetis me they're stre no new DVRs, they are all refurbished. Cox Store employees are very friendly and professional, but they can't provide me with equipment that works for more than a month. I had Cox internet that was down constantly for a week at a time. Switched to CenturyLink and have never had an issue. I had a cox land line, and one day there was no dial tone and lost service. Canceled it too. I wish there was a good TV provider I could switch to. read more

Truly the worst, over and over. We had the service for about 10 months, and had about 100 outages, requiring at least that many plug and unplug exercises for the WiFi to connect with the TV. Emotionally scarring, and wrapped up with an end that was almost comical, turning in the equipment and the sign-in in the store didn't work, and they didn't ask why we were leaving. VERY IMPRESSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE & ORGANIZATION!!!! When calling the 800 number for information of what we needed to get setup and all, (due to prior residents before us), the gentleman on the phone made it sound like we'd be there for quite awhile, with all the explanations of what would need to be done when we arrived to the store,.. We literally were checked in, helped out, and left in 10 minutes!!!! As we walked up to the door, the masked-greeter,.. (not every employee are wearing masks, but we noticed they're very careful and when helping, they do stay behind the plexiglass protector),.. was so very nice and he opened the door for us, then checked us in. We sat on the booth, (that we had seen an employee dedicated to sanitizing RIGHT AWAY, as others left), and were called to help within 1 minute! "PAULINA", was so gracious and accommodating, and had us setup and out the door ASAP! We are very pleased with this location and the employees here!!!! read more

I came in to pick up my tv and internet equipment for my apartment. The staff quickly put me in a line, but there is little care for quality customer service. Once I reached the top of the queue, my needs were met pretty painlessly by an associate. Very efficient. I spent probably a total of only 15 minutes in the store. However, while I stood in line waiting with about a dozen people, all of us sat there in amazement. In the center of the store, an employee (apparently a manager named Heidi?) loudly and rudely conversed with two very unhappy (but very polite) customers. Instead of addressing their concerns and trying to be helpful, the employee was extremely condescending. She did not seem at all interested in solving problems, but in justfying herself and providing excuses. All of us who observed this agreed that the store should be ashamed that this kind of exchange could happen. This is what happens when policy trumps people. Embarassing. Would expect better from anyone in customer service, especially in North Scottsdale. read more

Beware that the service interruptions occur daily in Scottsdale and everytime you call or chat with customer service they will keep you on the line to check you modem and connections again and again until service resumes and then blame the disruption on your modem. After I bought and installed a new $249 Netgear Modem the problems persisted. Two of my neighbors were experiencing the same issues and the only thing Cox would recommend was contacting Netgear. Which made no sense, because, again I repeat (just like with customer service), my neighbors were also experiencing issues. Horrible internet service and poor customer service. read more

I am a huge fan of Cox cable and their stores make service even better. Easy online set up with the flexibility of coming to a store and picking up your equipment. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable without the pressure of sales and up-selling. I forgot my agent but she was just fantastic. I was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes. This was completely opposite of my experience with competitor who I spent an hour troubleshooting before I was offered a tech to come to my house. Easy installation at home that I suggest foregoing the install fee unless you need a new cable outlet which only cost $35. Holy Batman, that's cheaper than a handy man. Plenty of packages for your need, I felt they offer versatility despite prices bring slightly higher. I am willing to pay more when service is attentive, friendly and efficient! read more
