We went on a warm day in February so it wasn't very crowded outside but there were a lot of tables and chairs set up - I can't imagine what it'd be like to walk around when the place is at capacity. The margaritas and food were pretty good quality Mexican food. I ordered the mushroom quesadillas and they were delicious. The margarita pitcher and chips & guac were good, pretty standard. Pricey Tex-Mex, not Mexican, restaurant with nice patio. The name, the absurdly large drinks, and the menu suggest servers with ample cleavage and short shorts but alas, they are nothing glamorous. They don't even say "yeehaw" when you pay the enormous bill! Fine date place but beware there will be salt, a lot of it, and alcohol, so you will be remembering the meal for a while. read more

We have at least another meal out of the leftovers. My favorite is the tomatillo chicken enchiladas which are served in a cast iron skillet with a melted cheese crust but it's all good. First off--it's pretty telling that the rating is so low despite the nearly 100 fake yelp reviews that are all 5 stars from profiles that only have 1 review (of this place of course) and complimenting "Lillyanna". Unlike those folks I actually ate here and I don't recall what my servers name was but I will say they all seem attentive. The outdoor patio is nice and the bar is pretty cool. My issue is with the food and the pricing. The fajitas were very bland and the prices are some of the highest in all of the surrounding area for pretty mediocre food. I was so sad after coming to what was one of my favorite places to dine after traveling to Philadelphia and was left heartbroken by what is now their lack of attentiveness and unflavored food. Not to mention unauthentic!! I came alone after a conference and was the only customer at the time. I sat there for about 15 to 20 min while the waiters chat at the bar. I had no water, no one had asked me if I wanted chips or salsa. I was about to leave when a group of people came and were greeted with water and chips and drinks as I was still waiting for someone to come to see if I even needed water. By the way, I never got chips and salsa. I did mention to the waiter how I was waiting for a while and if I was forgotten and he replied no no. Yet, no apology. I already knew my order. I had the chimichurri steak fajita which was 38 dollars! No sides included by way and no choice of corn vs flour tortillas. From what I recall, they used to have homemade corn tortillas!!! The steak was not seasoned and the sauce that they provided was a red broth. Although the steak was tender, it was overcooked and not worth the 38 dollars. Also, music seemed to be on repeat intended for elevators!! That kind of music should not be allowed for restaurants, that's just my own personal opinion. I am distraught and disappointed that this place has become what it is: I am sad to say, I will not be recommending this place to anyone and will not be returning. Coyote is my go to spot in Conshohocken for drinks before a night out, impressing out of towners, or dinner with friends. She's pricey, but she's worth it! The tacos are filling! I really only need 2 especially with apps. I love their seafood combo (pictured), especially the salmon tacos which are pretty unique. My other go-to's: chicken flautas (filling app I sometimes order as my entree), enchiladas, and nachos. Go to drinks: their mojito (classic and HUGE) and their lychee margarita (it's a special they don't always have). Love sitting in their outside garden at night in the summer :) read more

My experience here was left much to be desired. Lets start with the food itself. While the menu looks delicious, the execution just fell short. One particular disappointment was the children's menu. Not only was it limited but the spiciness from their pepper marinade made it unsuitable for my 2 year old. The guacamole was not customizable for allergies (requested no onions) because they made it ahead of time. I've never been to an authentic Mexican restaurant that preps this ahead of time. Next is the service. The staff seemed disinterested and actually seemed a bit irritated. I would have to get up and walk over to a server to get any service or wait quite while to be noticed. So lastly comes the price - if the service was great and the food was decent, then the price would match. Not the case this time. The only plus at Coyote Crossing is the outdoor seating and parking. The food was decent enough but the service killed the mood. Other than that, I would probably say, check out other dining establishments in the area. read more

Pleasantly surprised and impressed with this place. I am critical of most Mexican places (it's too Americanized and not authentic), but Coyote Crossing executed great. Just note- they do their version/twist on a standard dish. The corn guacamole was a massive portion with corn, tortilla strips and smoked paprika on top (not spicy). The Poblano Cameron was a massive plate with lotsssss of cream and cheese (almost soupy-like) so beware of that's not what you're expecting. The Enchiladas Pollo Tomatillo were not your typical enchiladas - it was layered flat tortillas in a little skillet covered in a layer on cheese on top. More cheese than you'd normally expect, but the tomatillo sauce was excellent. Unfortunately, service was not great (felt like we were forgot about most of the night). Something to be mindful - totally understandably with COVID prices of good and supply chain has effected prices. With the above (an app and two mains) with two margaritas was $115 with tip for two people. Just be prepared to spend that kind of money. read more

I am a very picky eater and I wanted to order a cheese quesadilla, but I was told I couldn't because it was on the kids menu. It looked very nice but the little yellow flowers were falling all over the food and drinks. Our server was nice and answered all of our questions. We ordered the guacamole and chips. They were good. And the pico de gallo was tasty with right amount of heat. However the drinks were very much watered down. Do not believe the 3 star rating on Yelp. It is a FIVE star establishment. We live in Dallas for many years and it is as good or better than any Mexican food we had on a regular basis. Our server Jessi was fantastic. She brought us 5 star drinks and five dishes to enjoy. The wood fire grilled food was the high light. Great food, atmosphere and service is all you can ask for.
