Unless you are of Caucasian descent, I wouldn't recommend you coming to the store. The men are rude. Only the older ones, the young guy is super sweet, not racist, not bias or any of that. They didn't even give me a hello when I walked in the door they were rude the entire time they looked at me like I was trash, and every answer to every question I asked, was followed by attitude, not saying anyone goes to gun stores for customer service, but no one wants to be treated like crap either, after seeing them interact with other customers, I realize that they're super nice to the white people but rude to people of color I've seen them interact with multiple people which help me come up with this conclusion. I've come to this store three times (not by choice, but because i was selling my gun) along with many other gun stores around the bay area and this is by far the worst. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. If you are of Caucasian descent, you will not have any problems here but if you are a person of color, Latin Indian black, then be expected to feel discrimination and rude eyes glaring at you and don't expect anyone to be nice to you either because I can bet my last dollar you won't even get a smile/ or even how can I help you. My initial thought of the place when I walked in the store was Wow this store is great. They had plenty of items and I was greeted instantly upon entering. My purpose when I came to the store was to purchase a tool to remove the stock rail off of my AR so that I could attach my new Noveske NSR Rail. Scott was the individual that helped me and told me that they did not have it but he would be willing to remove my old rail and attach the new one for me for $75 for the labor and I had to buy a new gas block for $79. I'm new to the AR world and did not have much knowledge but all I knew was that I wanted my new rail attached to it and that the cost didn't matter so I did it. I came back 3 hrs later because he told me it normally takes that long but when I came back my AR looked amazing and he did a fabulous job. The next day I came and purchased a RADD lock to put on my AR. I went home and couldn't do it on my own so I thought hey let me see if Scott could do it. Sure enough he responded that he could but it would take a few hours and that I would have to come back but again it would cost me another $75 for labor. The second time around I thought man this is a ridiculous price just to install a RADD lock. He gave me some story about Noveske rifles welding on the bullet buttons on ARs that why it cost so much and why it was going to take so long. This time around I was a lot smarter and called another gun store. I called Triple A Gun Store in Vallejo and I live in San Francisco. The guy told me to come in and he would look at it. Just as I suspected the guy Scott tried to get over on me by charging me $75 just to install the RADD lever. The guy at Triple A Guns installed it in less than 15 minutes and didn't even wanna charge me. However, I insisted he take my $20 for tip and his honesty. The moral of the story here is to know your stuff first. Because the people at Coyote Point Armory were knowledgeable they tried taking advantage of me because I was less knowledgeable and looked like an easy target for them to get over on. If that's one thing I hate about shopping at places it's dis-honest business owners and now I see why they don't get business in their store. So if your looking for a place with lots of product you'll definitely find that here but the prices are a little higher and the workers might just try to pull a fast one on you if you don't quite know your stuff. read more

I also had a good long chat with the owner Scott and the other guy regarding scopes. Very knowledgeable guys there at Coyote Point. Selection wise, they are not fully stocked yet, but, they will be having a HUGE selection of high end and ultra high end stuff you won't see anywhere else. Of course on top of the regular stuff that is. Firearms, parts, scopes/optics, ammo, and reloading stuff supposedly. Best of all, price is very reasonable. Comparable or cheaper than other shops. Example of their awesome prices. They sell a brick of 22s for UNDER $30, after tax. Definitely comparable to online prices. They also offer full gunsmith services. Including machining and etc. don't think they got the machines set up to do some machine work yet. Great guys, great selection, great prices, great shop. Would visit again. read more

I had taken the new "Firearm safety test" to get my certificate a few months earlier here and passed! Missed only one! Dammit! LOL! The guys here are some of the most conscientious, thoughtful and careful people you'll deal with. They will spend an inordinate amount of time helping you pick out things and walk you through every aspect - including the safety precautions and any and all features and issues you may have. When I've had issues they've gladly sat on the Phone and chatted - then admitted I needed to come in and spent 30 minutes with no fiscal gain explaining things. They're also able to acquire and CA-comply a great many things. I considered ordering a ps90 from LANWORLD but they beat the price and made sure I had all I needed when it arrived. When I had questions they spent time with me to make sure I was both comfortable and informed. When I said something about hating to waste their time they even said "no, take your time. This is serious stuff." This is a rarity and a credit to the store. They're nice guys - Scott is genuinely caring and moves at your speed, making sure you've got everything you need and understood everything you've bought. They take every purchase seriously and patiently, but with a genuine interest and fascination. I realise guns and America are a big debate and that's not a thing for Yelp. But if someone is selling them to people, it should be these guys. So I rarely post reviews... I only do so when I am blown away by my experience. Well, I am blown away by the experience I've had here at Coyote Point Armory... I replaced the factory front sights on my Sig P226 with TruGlo TFX Pro for my multi gun class. I had trouble adjusting until I noticed that I had put on a #6 front sight as was recommended. (Apparently Sig sometimes puts #6 or #8 sights on the P226). When I checked my original front sight, it was a #8. I talked to Scott and explained the situation, and "bingo"... front sight replaced with new #8, no charge... Awesome!!! My experiences with Scott, Camille and Javier have been excellent!!! Friendly and knowledgeable, nice store. We need to support our local LGS and I choose to support these folks!! Thanks for taking care off me!! read more

Still 5 stars. Got me another product from here, and I was very pleased to see that CPA stuck to the MSRP vs jacking up the price of something that is to be banned coming the New Year. Kudos to them for staving off the greed impulse. They are pretty knowledgeable. Plus they have become a JP Rifles dealer, and JP is the bestest of the best. So that is really great news. First and foremost I'd like to thank my buddy Jake who happens to be a rep for H&K for reffering me to this place. I have a 20 plus collection of firearms that like all collectors of firearms I value dearly. I recently went to Coyote Point Armory to have some work done on a few of my firearms. On 2 of my H&K handguns I purchased 2 sets of night sights. I also purchased 2 Harris Bipods. 1 for my Browning 30-06 and the other for my Springfield Armory M1A Socom 16. The Browning had the bipod adapter but the Springfield didn't so I had to purchase the adapter components and have them proffesionally installed. I spoke with Scott (owner) a few times before I actually went over there and the conversations we had were top notch. So much so that I felt comfortable enough to purchase all the products and have the work done by Scott. 8 days later the work was completed. It cost me $630 which was money well spent. They didn't cut any corners. The fine attention to detail and worksmanship/craftsmanship was spectacular on all the work that was done. So much so that this is now officially my go to gun shop for all my firearms needs. Very glad I did, I had told a friend I'll meet him there in order for him to get his handgun certificate and do a private party transfer. Not only did they not need an appointment but the whole thing took no more than 30 minutes I'd guess. This place was incredible. I had been in the market for a new duck gun for a couple months. I had been shopping around for a particular gun that nobody seemed to have 8n stock. Originally I was looking for a benelli montefeltro. I had seen an ad with a great price from a local big box store. Low and behold, and to no real surprise, they didnt have it in stock and couldn't tell me when they might have it in stock. Checked a couple other places local to my home in San Jose and no luck. Heard an ad on the radio for the guys up at Coyote Point and they specifically mentioned their stock of Benelli shotguns. Called in and talked to Jared who told me they had the gun but not in camo and explained that the Franchi could be a great fit for me as well. I did some research and found that I really liked the specs and reviews on the Franchi as well. It was great to have him bring up my options because I was becoming quite disappointed in my search. Stopped by the shop a week or two later and swung the Franchi around. I love it. Made the purchase that day and picked it up 10 days later. Shot some different shells out of it to check my pattern and looks like the Kent and federal shot just as good as the black cloud. This gun will pay for itself in my ammo savings alone. Haha. All in all, the customer service was great. Oh yeah, the benelli/franchi rep was in store when I bought the gun as well. I had every question imaginable and they answered them all very patiently. Very impressed with their customer service. If you are looking to purchase a gun and might be intimidated by a lack of knowledge on the subject, this is a great place. This place is good, the guys here know their stuff. They have a large number of guns on display and they will work with you on gun recommendations. I picked up my second handgun here. I shopped around the bay area and I found their guns to be lowest in price. They also have a gun smith shop here as well. I plan on getting my guns sights changed by these guys. Other than that this place is not really convenient as they are kinda hard to find. Also their FFL transfer fee is also on the higher side. Personally I recommend buying here instead of doing online transfers. Overall this place is pretty good. Price is low but you will definitely need your GPS to find this place. read more

Working around the corner from this store I thought I'd stop in and see if there was anything new that I would like to purchase. As I walked in there was a young man running around behind the counter very busy. It was another man sitting in the corner looking at a computer. He glanced up me and looked me up and down and went back to his computer. I walked around looking at items. I just picked up my curio and relic pistol that I dropped off last week for cleaning and spring replacement. When I dropped it off, I specifically asked that my two magazines be labeled because one of the replacement springs I brought is 5% more powerful than the other. They neglected to do that, so now I have two mystery magazines. Also, they didn't give me back my original springs. Even though they're useless, it's important to keep those original parts with a 75+ year old piece of history. Needless to say, I won't be coming back.
