Worst service in a long time. It took 10 minutes for our waiter to even take our drink order or bring chips. Then he disappeared. We were finally able to order dessert and when it came out he then informed me that they did not have what I ordered. I asked for something else and waited more. Finally after another 10 minutes and my friend finishing her dessert I asked for my check from the older gentleman working. He gave me attitude, but brought the checks. I'm from Bainbridge and live downtown, and this is always where I want to get dinner in town. Coleslaw with chips is surprisingly delicious and so is their salsa. Their Guac is the only thing here i don't love, so I would skip that, it's not very flavorful. I don't know how anyone could give this place anything but 5 stars. Their margarita flavors are so much fun, and huge and a good price at happy hour. Everything I've ever eaten here is so yummy, especially the tamales and the chimichangas, this is my favorite Mexican place I've been to. And the prices are amazing as well. We just wanted a few things to snack on so we ordered a cheese quesadilla, chips + salsa and 2 house made Patron margaritas to-go. You can get them on the rocks or frozen in a variety of flavors. Andres and the Coyotes staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. Everything was packaged perfectly and stayed intact from the time we picked it up until the time we got home. Love me some fantastic Mexican! Whenever we have the free time--which seems never---we head over to Coyote for lunch and Happy Hour. They have some incredible deals on Margarita for HH in the from of my favorite: jumbo 36 ounces for 10.00. Cannot be beat. Also, Mexican Beer for 3.75 is a steal and my husband happily loves this part of our trip. The lunch is super quick and easy in terms of getting a table and making it out in under an hour. We usually have the quesadilla or one of the specials. Typically these run about 7 dollars each and this is a steal as the portions are very large and we almost always leave with to go boxes. The service is super quick and friendly and the place is very clean. Love it here and it is so fresh and authentic. Can get a little crowded during HH, but so fun with all of the people here and the lively nature of the crowd. Great little place in Bainbridge. read more

This is what you expect when you go out for basic american mexican. And its good, with great service, tasty food, a nice environment, and a very convenient location. I wanted to reach outside the burrito and combo box this time. So I ordered one of the chicken specialties that frankly reads more like a gourmet and authentic mexican dish. It did did not let me down and was exactly as explained in the menu. Lots of large hand cut fresh vegetables, lots of chicken, and a great sauce with a kick. They also have great happy hour drink specials including a giant margarita (15 or so flavors)for five bucks. Prob a 3 1/2, coulda been a 5 but the fried ice cream was not freshly fried and the margaritas were weak and sweet. A little more heat (flavor heat) would have improved things. Simply- coleslaw as well as salsa with tortilla chips a a Mexican restaurant? Outstanding idea and freaking delicious. I'll be back just for that. I had mole poblano and it was very rich, perhaps the best I've had in the Midwest. Two problems though: one was that it didn't come with tortillas, that's pretty much a staple with mole poblano, even if it isn't autentico". Second thing was that it was too salty. Twice as much salt as necessary. To the point of being hard to eat. Which brings me to other points... Service was super friendly but not very good. No drink refills for my soda, slow to respond, forgot the extra napkins we asked for. A drink refill would have been good for that super salty mole...but I honestly think it was a fluke. We sat on the patio in the sun during a heat wave (drink refill...water...help!) and I think they honestly didn't expect people to be out there and forgot about us somewhat. All of the diners on the patio had to track down the waitress for our checks. My wife made me sit out there it was scorching. She had the vegetarian fajitas and they too were pretty salty. Kid had standard quesadilla. No complaints, probably ate half of it. We will be back. But that coleslaw man...that's the stuff! And it's free! read more

If you're in the mood for a classic Mexican restaurant this will definitely hit the spot. There's a huge open bar if you're looking to just stop in for a drink or margarita. They have lots of seating inside so can get kind of loud, but that kind of adds to the atmosphere. Not to mention the fact that the sometimes have karaoke nights or will bring in live performers, this place is always a blast. The menu is huge, but the main stand out is something that you don't even have to order. Coleslaw will automatically be brought to your table with chips and for some reason it works really well with the salsa. The regular waitstaff here are so friendly and hardworking. The chips with salsa and the coleslaw is unbelievably yummy. I had never had chips with coleslaw before and it is fabulous! We've introduced friends to Coyote's and they've all loved it and if they are from out of town, request that we got there when they visit again. I've had delicious shrimp, pork, and beef dishes. I judge tex-mex by how they prepare their veggies and this is where Coyotes excels. They beat everyone else out there on quantity and quality. Get the veggie fajitas and you will be rewarded. This place pretty much sucks... the only thing I enjoyed was my queso. Every time I try and give it a new chance, it never comes out good. Yesterday I had the pollo benidno (sp) dish and the presentation was awful. It was a small piece of chicken that only took three bites. Went last night for an after dinner drink with my husband. When we walked in we were greeted immediately, which was nice. We sat down at the bar and the bartender introduced himself as senior Josh and asked us what we would like to drink. I had a patron margarita which was good and my husband had a beer-negro modelo. We were then given a bowl of chips,salsa and cole slaw. Good salsa and slaw chips should of been warm. Overall great service. ******The atmosphere needs some work.The lighting needs a lot of work. Great place, food , service and huge drink menu! One complaint is the booth benches. Im only 5' 1" and these seats were very narrow i dont know how a tall person would sit in these booths. Very uncomfortable! It would not stop me from going back and asking for a table though!! The other small issue was they didn't have enough ingredients to prepare my drink which was straight off the menu so it ended up not being mixed very well and was too strong! Just visited this newly opened restaurant for the first time. I lived for 10 years in New Mexico so I am always looking for good Mexican food. I am happy to say that we had a great experience. The Margaritas were really good and huge( and they are not very expensive either) I ordered a medium margarita and it was 28 ounces! They served some sort of cole slaw with the chips which was a little weird. The salsa that came with the chips was good, but I like mine a little chunkier. I ordered chile rellenos with beef. The flavors were excellent! I tried bites of my wife's fajita chimichanga and some beef taquitos and both were good as well. I am a sucker for Mariachi music so I am really hoping that they have that going regularly. I am looking forward to my next trip! read more

My friends and I ate at coyotes once and I don't think I will go again any time soon. The food was mediocre and was covered in cheese sauce. One of my friends ordered something for dessert because he had already eaten, and it did not come out until all of us had already eaten our meals. I believe our servers name was Victoria she was excellent. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in all of Ohio. Lived in AZ for 8 years. I am slightly critical of Mexican food because of this. Coyote's isn't perfect, it isn't just north of the border Mexican fair. But, for Ohio Mexican, they are really good. Best Tamale I have had in Ohio so far (Other than my own). I don't understand the slaw with the chips and while their salsa is good, I wish it had a touch of heat. I get that doesn't fly in this area so, it is toned down. LOVE their tortillas! They are always nice enough to give us a bag when we ask. (I would and have tried to pay for them) Great tacos, enchiladas, carnitas and Carne Asada. The servers are great and we have never had a bad experience there. I can't wait until it isn't just my wife and I so we can try the Guacamole cart! read more
