LOCATION: Brookhurst/Ellis PARKING: Lots WHAT WE ORDERED: * Salted Cloud Coffee ($7) * Ube Cloud Coconut ($7) What a great find during their soft opening! I lucked out on a cloud coconut BOGO day. The vibe inside is super sleek, minimal, and clean, and it was buzzing with people working and studying. The menu has so many intriguing options, but I ordered the Salted Cloud Coffee. The coffee is nice and strong, and mixing in the salted cloud creates a great balance. I was also a huge fan of the ube cloud, which had a slightly more authentic potato-y ube flavor that made it so refreshing. Thrilled with my first visit and excited for the grand opening!
Free wifi and multiple outlets make this place perfect for studying or doing work! We got the banana cloud matcha $8.16. What I like about is there's a banana milk base with a banana foam on the top. It's not too sweet which is good, but there is a slight artificial banana flavor to it (as compared to maybe brew story, where their banana matcha tastes more fresh). Aside from matcha, there is also coffee and some croissant pastries here. There's PLENTY of seating, indoors and outdoors, and they play chill music. The service was quick and the workers were efficient. I feel like this place could have potential if they extended their hours past 6pm. It's next to kappo Honda, which closes late, so maybe it could stand out by being a late night study spot for students to grab a meal afterwards as well.
Cozy Brew is a solid new cafe in Fountain Valley! I came here during their soft opening where all drinks were 15% off. I got the double matcha, and it was smooth and strong with floral notes similar to jasmine or earl gray, which I didn't expect but loved. This is something that sets this double matcha apart from other ones I've had, and makes it one of my new favorites. I got it 75% sweet, and thought it was well-balanced. The inside is very cute, modern, and clean with lots of seating. It's located in a big plaza where parking is easy. The workers were friendly and I didn't have to wait long to get my order. I would definitely recommend this cafe and come back!

We were in the area looking for a local matcha spot and decided to try Cozy Brew. This location just opened at the beginning of the month. The inside is nicely decorated, with several places to sit and enjoy a drink or a snack. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they have a good selection of matcha. One thing that stood out: they have multiple coconut cloud matcha options made with coconut water, which isn't that common. Most places only have one. I was disappointed, though. While my drink was being made I could see the process, and that's when I saw the matcha wasn't whisked. It was poured from a squeeze bottle, and the cold foam came from a container instead of being made fresh. Very, very sad. I ordered a banana matcha. It was okay, but you could tell it wasn't fresh. Nice space, friendly people -- the drink just didn't live up to what I was hoping for.
Such a beautiful modern cafe that just opened! The owners are so sweet and welcoming. This was seriously one of the best double matchas I've had in a long time. It almost tasted like Jasmine/earl grey, I was blown away. You can really feel the thought and intention behind everything they offer. This will definitely be one of my new go to spots!
Cozy Brew Daily is an absolute gem in Fountain Valley! The moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect local spot to catch up with friends, study, or just grab a morning pick-me-up. The staff is always super friendly, service is fast, and the cozy vibes here just can't be beat. Their drink menu is incredible, but the Strawberry Cloud Matcha and Cookie Butter Coffee are absolute must-tries. The matcha is unbelievably smooth and refreshing, topped with a light, sweet strawberry foam that creates the ultimate flavor balance. Meanwhile, the Cookie Butter Coffee is pure perfection; rich, creamy, and infused with just the right amount of spiced sweetness to complement the espresso without overpowering it. You also cannot leave without ordering their cinnamon pull-apart. It arrives warm, pillowy, and packed with gooey cinnamon goodness that pairs magically with any drink on the menu. Cozy Brew Daily is easily a 5-star favorite, and I'll definitely be coming back regularly!
Hubby asked if I wanted a drink from cozy brew and mentioned that they have a cookie butter coffee so I jumped on that. Only to take a first sip expecting something yummy but got nothing but a yucky and extremely bitter taste. No cookie butter flavor at all.
I got the pistachio cloud matcha and really enjoyed it!! I thought the sweetness level of the matcha was perfect (for context, I like my matchas on the sweeter side) and LOVED the pistachio cream top. So good!! I would definitely return and try other drinks.
Really enjoyed their ube cloud coffee. It had a strong coffee taste with a good amount of ube cream foam on top. I would come again!
I'm so happy that Fountain Valley has a new solid cafe! I got the double matcha with oat milk and it's one of the best matchas I've had in a while. I agree with the other review that said it has an earl gray/jasmine taste to it. I also like how there's so much seating and the chairs are actually comfortable. Service was very friendly as well. I would come back here to try more drinks and to study!
Came here with my daughter after seeing it on instagram. As soon as we walked in I thought it was a nice place. It's nicely decorated and it's clean and bright. Lots of seating area. They have nice tables and chairs. We ordered on a kiosk that we could take a closer look at the menu and drinks. I ordered the cookie latte and my daughter ordered a cookie matcha. They also have pastries so I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and my daughter got the plain croissant. Both were nice and flaky and buttery. The drinks were also very good. My daughter finished hers before we even left the place. So it must have been good. We will definitely be back.
Forgot to take a picture before we mixed our drinks, but the presentation was beautiful and we loved both (cookie butter and ube cloud coffee). I saw a few people complaining about the price in other reviews, however the quality of drink is high and the coffee was not burnt like majority of up-and-coming shops these days. Staff was friendly and quick, and even brought our drinks to us when we seemed busy working. They have an ordering kiosk too, which is nice when it's busy. Lastly, the environment was calm, bright, and clean, I especially loved the music playing. I think I saw outlets on the bench area, so I would definitely come back for a study session and to try their other drinks.

I went with my girlfriend for the soft opening and we loved it! We ordered the matcha einspanner and the coconut cloud matcha. They tasted really good and the customer service is top tier! The interior lives up to the name and will definitely come back. read more

This was my first time visiting this coffee shop. I came in the morning, and parking wasn't too difficult to find. The inside was quite clean, and there were plenty of comfy chairs and tables to sit and study at. I do wish there were a few more wall decorations on the walls. The interior already looks like many other coffee and boba shops I've been to, so it would be nice to differentiate it from other cafés. I ordered from the kiosk, and my drinks came out pretty quickly. You even have the option to decorate your cup, free of charge. Right now, everything comes on 16 oz cups, so their matcha is a little more expensive compared to other places that automatically give you 20-24 oz for a similar price. I ordered two drinks without any changes to sweetness or ice level. The coffee wasn't overly sweet and leaned more on the milky side. However, it still retained its bitterness as I was drinking it. The ube cloud's taste disappears once mixed into the coffee, though I wish that flavor was more prominent in the drink. I would recommend giving this place a try, especially once they have their full opening. The interior is nice and their coffee is solid. read more

I LOVE COZY BREW! I've been here about 5 times since it opened with different people each time. Everyone I brought has loved it. The inside of the shop is so nice, spacious, clean, and comfortable! The staff are all so kind, drinks are very consistent, and orders are made fast. My go-to is the double matcha with almond milk, 50% sweet and it's perfect for someone like me who likes a subtly sweet matcha that still has the signature matcha taste. read more

Went to the soft opening!! Everyone was so kind. The place is clean, cozy chairs, great lighting. Drinks are really good! Customizable! I got the Banana matcha~ and you can def taste a good matcha. My office also got the cookie coffee, salted cloud black coffee, pistachio matcha, and a regular matcha. Everyone enjoyed it!!! Please be patient with the crew! Came for the Labor Day bogo. Nice clean store and based on the signs, they just had a soft opening. Girl at register seem new and had some issue inputting the bogo code but other staff help her out. Everyone was real nice. Got the drinks with no ice so cup was only half full but did notice they put something that looked like flower leaves in the drink. Did try the ube coconut cloud and it was refreshing. Would definitely consider coming here to get a drink and study. read more

We went for the soft opening and it wasn't really soft. They were out of Einspanner before 11am and the drinks themselves are mid at best. The place was cozy but nothing special. The drinks are pricey especially for its quality. If it's not discounted, I don't think it's worth it to go. Will not go again and don't really recommend. read more
