I've been meeting a friend here for breakfast once a week for several years now. I guess we would be considered regulars. The wait staff all know us and take good care of us. The food is very good and the place is always welcoming and clean. We have tried other places but always come back here for our regular weekly breakfast. When there is a slight disappointment, it is addressed directly and taken of. Just be specific if you have certain preferences - if you like your bacon crisp say so, if you want your scrambled eggs served "dry" ask for them that way, etc. Excellent biscuits and gravy, pancakes are are golden brown and fluffy, and the coffee is dark, not weak like a lot of places serve. In hopes of finding our new forever breakfast place, we decided to try "The COZY CORNER cafe" we wanted something local and cozy. Somewhere where we can get to know the staff and enjoy our weekend breakfast trips. Unfortunately that was not the case... We arrived for breakfast on MLK Holiday, and although there was a wait, (YOU ONLY HAD 3 two parties waiting).We were willing to put our names on the list, wait, and give it a try. We are a very patient couple. One thing I can not stand for is poor customer service!!! And thats exactly what we got. We walked in, stood there for just a bit. And the girl working the front walked up and said "what's your name on the list?" But in a rude tone... I just stared at her trying to comprehend what she just said. Finally my fiancé spoke up and said "thats why were in here, to put our name on the list" she seemed annoyed and said .. "Name?." We put our name in, walked outside and decided she wasnt very personable, absolutely no customer service. I decided I was already disappointed from the minute I walked into the door. Only based off the interaction with the receptions. I understand what it means to be busy and have a line of people but never does that stop me from providing great customer service to everyone who walks in the door. Next time. Please GREET your customers with a smile, and say "hello. Then maybe.. good morning, & how are you?" It takes .3 seconds. Stopped in after a morning hike on a Saturday morning - was somewhat crowded, and was greeted quickly and cordially by the staff. As an observer, the staff was quick to clean off tables once vacant and quick to fill them in as well. Environment: definitely comfortable - no frills and pretense - which is refreshing to me. The waitstaff is very helpful, cordial, and friendly. Food: Just-right serving sizes, definitely pleased. I got the three meat omelette and was delighted with how much meat (bacon, sausage, ham) was actually in the omelette. Very tasty. My dad got pork chops and eggs - and the pork chop had a very good marinade and were cooked just right (to my liking). All in all - I wish this place was closer to home - would definitely go again, and highly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Cozy Corner has great food, but what I really like is the pie they serve. They purchase their pies from Piefection and they are the best pies I have ever tasted. Cozy Corner carries different varieties from Piefection, but I especially love it when they have their coconut cream pie. It is honestly the best pie I have ever tasted. This is the best place in Mesa to have a good meal. My husband and go at least weekly and sometimes 2-3 times a week. The food is always good and the staff is top notch. They will make your meal the way you want it and there is never a problem with substitutions. The fries are to die for, crunchy outside with soft inside. Found this through Yelp when looking for a "non-chain diner" for brunch. It's a small cafe tucked back in the strip mall behind several other restaurants and doesn't look looked much from the outside. Inside, it's filled with kitschy decor and welcoming, smiling staff. The servers are very attentive, greeting you quickly after you're seated, bringing refills and removing empty plates without being asked. You can tell that many customers are regulars and are greeted by name. The food is home cooked, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. We really enjoy the positive vibe and eat here whenever we're in the area. read more

I have been eating here for over twelve years, and over that time I have not had a bad meal. Through three owners and twenty or so staff, the food has been consistently excellent, and the staff have always worked very hard to provide excellent service. To be sure, I have seen incidents, but most often they have arisen when the customer's order wasn't clear, or the expectation wasn't realistic. Those things happen. The present ownership has taken the service level upward, and if anything does go wrong, Cozy Corner will make it right. Haylee, Shelly, Marissa, Allison, are all top-notch, as are the newer people as they become trained. This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. What to recommend? Well, ham and eggs, or bacon, or sausage, or an omelet, or pancakes, or a prime rib melt, or a carne asada burrito, or.....you get the idea. What a cute little restaurant! We're from out of town and didn't know what to expect, but the food was great and the service was amazing. All ten of us were thrilled with our food. I ordered the spinach omelette and scarfed the whole thing. They also give a generous portion of fruit and have a huge toast selection. I kept seeing this place on Yelp and I decided why don't I give it a try for breakfast. When I got here the place looked a little weird but when I entered I was greeted with some good service. Then I finally ordered the 1 egg, 1 pancake, and bacon. The bacon was the best part of the plate really cooked well and then I ate the egg which was a nice over medium. I also tried some of the sausage and it tasted like a frozen sausage from a box. Then there was the pancake it tasted like a lot of flour and was disgusting I took it back and they took it off the bill. I'm probably never going back to the place. read more

This place has a great omelette (spinach & bacon) that I enjoy coming here for. They also have good coffee and they give you the good creamer, you know the one with the vanilla in it. My friends and I visit every weekend for breakfast. Not a fan. My wife had been here before and liked the food. She had talked to the owner who told her everything was made from scratch. Not so. When we went there was black pepper in almost everything (she is allergic to this) and no way to get dishes without it. The salad dressing was commercial. Service was friendly but, we were disappointed with the food- the supreme southwest burrito was big for sure but not much flavor in the salsa and the burrito itself had too much potatoes, some eggs, and very little sausage. My corned beef hash seemed to have come out of a can. Coffee was weak, just a little better than hot water. Too bad! Hot and hungry after playing 9 holes of golf at Dreamland GC, we happened to be driving by a shopping center and figured we'd drop into the supermarket to get something to eat. As we parked, we spotted the Cozy Corner Cafe, what a welcoming sight. Walking in, we noticed most of the tables were occupied, always a good sign. Soon we were seated and ordered breakfast. I chose the bacon omelet with hash browns, my wife picked the vegetable omelet with hash browns. Waitress was pleasant and friendly, service was very fast. Our food was delicious. My wife commented on the tasty vegetables which were chopped up along with avocado and cooked inside the omelet instead of being placed atop it. My bacon was crisp, just the way I like it. The prices were amazing: our omelets were a mere $6.99 each! We will definitely return to Cozy Corner and highly recommend it to others. read more

My family and I have been here several times and every experience we've had here has been great! My four year old LOVES their French toast so much that she refuses to try anything else! Their pecan waffles and pancakes are fantastic and their eggs are always cooked perfectly. The waitresses already recognize us and are always friendly and welcoming. We've met the owner, as well, and he's just as nice, eager to get to know you and making sure that everything was tasty.
