Came here on a Saturday morning and only had to wait 10 minutes before being sat in a booth. We were sat by the kitchen and it really added to the ambiance of the traditional american diner setting. My youngest daughter and i went here for breakfast/lunch since it's close to where we are staying and we were both hungry and didn't want to wait to eat. She ordered the strawberry waffle w/a side of eggs and sausage. I ordered the Reuben sandwich ala cart. Service was a bit abrupt if not stand offish. Maybe because we're not regulars. Food came up quickly. My sandwich wasn't very good. It wasn't reuben-esque. It was just meat and old sauerkraut that was super limp and brownish. The thousand island dressing comes on the side, so that made eating it difficult. My daughter enjoyed her waffle w/strawberries and whipped cream on top. She said the sausage was good and liked her sunny side up eggs. She only at one and i had the other. I found the egg a little over cooked for my taste. We were in a hurry, but hungry and in a rush to get from the airport to downtown we pulled of the expressway as we were starving. We weren't so hungry that we would settle for fast food. This was a great find. They provided prompt, fast and attentive service while serving freshly prepared food. It's a solid menu with plenty of options. Clean, well lit with lots of windows. Cozy Corner was a clutch breakfast find while staying in Logan Square. My wife and I went for a walk Amin the morning and could smell the inviting breakfast smells coming from the Cozy Corner tucked right under the California Blue line stop on the metro. We were greeted as soon as we stepped inside the door. Our waitress took us to our table and got our coffee right away. I ordered a Denver omelette and my wife got an egg breakfast with pancakes. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. For a little neighborhood diner near the metro, our expectations were low, but it was a surprisingly great meal. Even though I've lived nearby for a while, I avoided this location because the parking lot always seemed stressful. I eventually realized there's another parking lot around the corner with plenty of space, which made visiting much easier. I've now been twice and both visits have been great. The food has been consistently delicious, and while this location seems a bit more expensive than others, it makes sense given the area. Service has been good each time. While the server was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not good,at least mine. The chilaquiles verdes were bad. The salsa was definitely missing salt. The rice and beans are inedible. They had a horrid after taste. The chilaquiles had an absurd amount of black pepper. I typically get the breakfast sandwich which has already been good. You can customize the sandwich in many ways, in terms of bread, meat, and egg style. Service is average, not bad by all means. The ambiance is also average, a typical dinner. There is usually a longer wait in the weekends, but goes by pretty quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful. Stopped to have breakfast with my daughter before heading out of town and was very impressed with their extensive and tempting breakfast selections, including a ton of early bird specials that cut the cost of many breakfast items in half. My daughter had the fiesta skillet with chorizo on the side. In a moment of inspiration, I added that chorizo to the hash browns that came with my eggs Benedict. Fantastic. While the food is great diner fare & the convenience of on site parking is perfect for groups/families it comes at a cost. My wife, 1 year old daughter and I were grabbing breakfast before I headed to the office. As my wife & daughter were leaving the restaurant & loading into the car, they were confronted by a belligerent server claiming she had illegally parked there. They were trying to tow the car & were standoffish despite my wife having just passed this employee at the entrance. Been driving by this restaurant for over a year and my family and I finally decided to check them out. We were a party of 4 and we all gave Cozy Corner 5 Stars. Every part of our experience was exceptional. The restaurant has a small parking lot on the side but there is a little street parking and a paid parking lot across the street. Upon entry it was crowded so we were given a buzzer to wait for our table. We were buzzed within 4 minutes. The restaurant is very spacious, multiple tables and booths with 2 counter seating spaces as well. It's very open and bright. The wait staff and servers are different people so there's no waiting a long time for anything. The restaurant feels so cozy. The food is SO DELICIOUS!! Everything was flavorful and tastes Great. Recommend going during the weekdays as they get insanely packed during the weekends. If you go in the weekend either come early or order carryout. I'm not sure if reservations are available. I highly recommend the cheesy grits as a side. It is so fine. I've ordered things here multiple times and have only been disappointed once: egg white omelette. It was over cooked and the chicken chunks in it were too dry. Met up with my daughter and girlfriend in Chicago. We ended up eating at Cozy Corner at their Logan Square location. What an enjoyable experience. It was busy, but we got seated after a short wait. Just like my small Kansas hometown, staff was all so friendly. Our server was very attentive and friendly, my coffee cup was never near empty. I had the Country Time Skillet and it was a treat. This is a great diner! So many breakfast options and the place has a cozy feel. We came on a Saturday morning and were seated quickly. The menu is huge... it's so difficult to pick since everything looks so good. I got the lemon berry capone pancakes and they were so good! Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the toppings were sweet and refreshing. I got this as a combo meal so I also got a side of eggs and sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but I wasn't super into the sausage since I felt they were a little too salty. I also got a side of hash browns to share and these were delicious too! If you're in the mood for breakfast food with a cozy diner feel, cozy corner is a great option! I'd probably skip on the sausage but everything else was super delicious. Cozy corner is still the best breakfast around. I have probably ordered over 50 times and they very rarely miss a thing. I always get the Mexican omelette and occasionally will get a side of pancakes instead of toast. The omelette is massive, enough for multiple meals, and not overly greasy like some omelettes with chorizo can get. This place has a ton of reviews and good ones at that, so we ended up going here for brunch this weekend. It was a decent place. First of all, it's a pretty big place for the city and it has its own parking lot, which is amazing in terms of convenience. The other cool thing is they have Yelp waiting list so we signed into that and were like #20 when we left from home and were around #2 or so when we arrived. That makes things amazingly convenient. We waited probably only 5-10 mins once we arrived. Very nice for an otherwise crowded time. The place itself is like a normal diner. We ended up being seated kind of in an odd corner of the place, but it was ok. Now on the menu, it's a big one. They seem to have everything at face value, but there are some important updates required, I'd say. One that came up was they have burgers, but no veggie burger. On a similar front, a number of items come with eggs and they were not willing to substitute anything else for a side of eggs, even though we don't eat eggs. For example, avocado toast with 2 eggs on the side. What I wanted was just avocado toast. Same on the veggie griddle. We requested the waitress to help us out and on the 3rd try she did bring out some extra hash brown, but I had wished it was just an option up front. She was very nice overall though. One thing I've never seen before is she would ask you if you were right or left handed and turn the coffee up towards the direction based on your response. I thought that was pretty funny.
