Ok so I NEVER use yelp for recommendations because frankly I don't trust it. However, I needed a bathroom mirror and shower door. A friend was remodeling my bathroom but his company is in Corona and I'm in Palm Springs and I had a limited schedule. I really didn't know where to start locally and honestly I just wanted a quote. My friend said just go in yelp and ask for a quote( he gave me a price of what it should be) I sent a messsage to another company and received 4 quotes from different places. The owner's response demonstrates a lack of professionalism in dealing with conflict resolution. Instead of responding by wanting a satisfied customer, Chris resorts to elementary tactics by name calling past clients (liars, these kinds of people, jerks) which is unnecessary. Let's get a few things straight: 1. Chris tries to depict me as an impossible-to-please customer by saying trade people stopped returning my call (that's untrue) and by saying how I sued contractors. Yet, he admits that the tile work in my shower was bad. Based on what Chris is saying, I, the paying customer, am supposed to accept poor work rather than hold contractors accountable. Since I didn't do this, I'm unreasonable. 2. In regard to Chris' statement that he did an excellent job and no complaint on installation, that's incorrect. First of all, Chris, it's not a compliment if you pay it to yourself. Secondly, the clamp wasn't properly siliconed. That's an installation issue. His wife even took accountability for it (pic 6/9). 3. The only thing I insistently asked for was Chris to check out the leak. His response without even seeing the issue in person was blame my design/another contractor, who I have no reason to defend. I'd be willing to agree with his dam response if water was filling up at our feet/by the door and there's nothing to dam the water in because the slope isn't angled enough. This wasn't the case. Water drained perfectly. The leak came from droplets/splashes beading off into the clamp. Even with the dam, I'd still have water leaking. Threshold or no threshold, I'd get charged for something that wouldn't resolve the issue. 4. After the tile was fixed, Chris remeasured so he was aware it was a damless shower. If there was an issue with no fall at door entry (which there wasn't), why not inform me of the issue like he did with the tile prior to installation? 5. As stated, it's a simple fix if properly identified. But, that's something he's unwilling to do--identify problems in his work (pic 7/9). He only addressed what we "complained" about. So when I, the paying customer, play detective and bring it to his attention, he blames me (here we go again as seen in point 3). It's our fault for not telling him what to fix even though he inspected it. It's like getting your computer repaired, and you tell the tech the fan makes a funny noise when you turn it on but if he can check it out. You get your computer back and the issue hasn't been fixed. You ask the tech if he inspected and even turned it on. He responds with no I just looked at the fan and gets mad at the you for not properly telling him what the problem was so he could fix it. 6. The bad review was only due to his attitude which is seen through multiple responses and not because I wasn't available on the "days" his wife provided. By the way, she gave me 1 day (pic 9/9), said she'd get back to me with more days and to this day never did. 7. His employee was 20 mins late because his other employee flaked. Interestingly, Chris has no worker's comp insurance and therefore should have no employees (pic 10/10). If his worker gets hurt on your property, who's liable? This is required by law which is reportable to the licensing board. 8. In regard to using the back door, if a homeowner wants something explained, they should be allowed to ask questions. 9. Actually, I was correct that this was an installation issue (see points 2, 3 and video on Yelp mobile app) and it was coming from water droplets beading off the glass. I wasn't correct on the door location (but wasn't far off because it was the neighboring clamp) which is why we had him inspect. 10. Most importantly, being a business owner myself, I'm understanding to the fact that problems occur. But it's how you respond even if you disagree with a customer that shows your true character. I'll repeat because apparently Chris still doesn't get it: I don't hold him responsible for not identifying the issue but rather for not trying (pic 7/9), defensive attitude and lack of accountability. Proof is in pics/response because I wouldn't "go out of my way to lie and make up things". Also, please stop with the pointless statements Chris--you didn't do this job for free let alone pay us to have it done. When you're willing to apologize and fix the issue as your wife promised in writing, I'd be happy to revise this review. read more

This is the second time we have used CR Glass. We first had Chris do two tub sliders, a frameless shower door and three bathroom mirrors about 7 years ago in our old house. He did such a good job that we knew we were going go back to him when we needed some work done in our new house. He just recently replaced 4 large mirrors in the master bathroom and another bathroom. I'll get some photos posted, but I wanted to build a frame around the mirrors so I mitered some base board used for t&g wainscot. It had a nice lip that fit the mirrors perfectly. Chris was great with getting precise measurements and then working with me on install day to make sure the mirrors were placed perfectly to fit the frames. He also replaced a window with a crack in one on the panes. Once tile work is done in our shower, we are going to have Chris do a frameless door.
