The portion has SIGNIFICANTLY shrunk especially for the salmon. The salmon was basically the size of the sauce dish container...I finished it in 2-3 bites. Meaning that, Maluji Suanlafen is now at the old Ten Ren's location at the corner right when you turn in. If you go at an off time, I'm sure it's fine. It's a human nightmare during super fisted times aka the weekends and Friday nights. You're fighting other people for parking in the plaza or in the pit. People are not driving that well and people are walking all over. Understandable since there's SO many eateries, shops, etc. in Diamond Plaza (gonna be much worse when the next Chubby Cattle empire restaurant opens here, but I digress). Plenty of seating available and we were able to get seated and got our food super quickly. You order through the QR code at each table. For some of the dishes you can get rice/vermicelli refills, especially since you get a LOT of soup. Definitely easy to share, so order some extra small bowls and have the napkins ready since it is SUPER OILY (as spicy Chinese dishes usually are). For our dinner, we got the: 1) Spicy Quail Eggs: -Generous amount of quail eggs, 10+ at least. -Seasoned with chili oil, spices, and sesame seeds and some green herb garnish on top. -Easy to eat, yummy, and addicting. I love quail eggs, so this was a nice item to order. 2) Squid Skewer: -It is what's described. A squid skewer. Grilled and covered in a blend of spices. Not spicy at all, but super tender and not chewy at all. Not a bad snack item. 3) Deluxe Spicy Vermicelli Bowl: -Comes with a little bit of everything. While not an ayce place, we ordered a set each and it comes with your choice of broth, your choice of protein, a bowl of vegetables and a bowl of rice. We ended up getting four different broths because we couldn't decide. We got the beef bone, the spicy miso, the kimchi and the sukiyaki. They were all good but the kimchi broth and the sukiyaki broth were my favorites. In terms of proteins, we got the beef Angus ribeye, the beef short rib, the kurobuta pork and the lamb. The meat quality is exceptional, especially the marbling on the short rib. We actually ordered another plate of the short rib before the night was over. Even the vegetable quality was solid. Three of us ordered the combo which allowed us to select 4 pounds of seafood, we were able to choose from : shrimp, crab, crawfish, mussels, and clams. The combo also included six, fresh oysters on ice, sausage, potato, corn on the cob and three drinks. Market price that day was $130 for the combo three, which I feel is a fair price. The food was good and the price is right! We will definitely be coming back to eat at King crawfish.
