I don't eat eggs Benedict, but the crab cakes Benedict had me intrigued. I'm so glad I got it! The hollandaise sauce was creamy. The crab cakes were out of this world tasty, crispy on the outside, but moist and flavorful inside. The eggs were cooked to perfection! Absolutely fantastic experience here. Started off with a nice bowl of Wicked Fish Chowdah, we all loved it (myself, and two others). I downloaded this app just know with the main purpose of writing this next section. I love buffalo chicken anything basically. I usually order whatever buffalo chicken items are on the menu at wherever I eat. The Buffalo Chicken Roll-Up here may have been the best I've ever had. The special sauce was unbelievable. We'd driven by a million times but never stopped in until this past Tuesday. I'm so glad we finally did! The fish chowder is fantastic - not over-the-top rich, but also not overly brothy. Big chunks of fish and just the right number of potatoes. I had the Thanksgiving turkey wrap with it and ended up taking half of it home. My fiancé had the Cape Cod Reuben (fried cod instead of corned beef) and loved it. He also had a Bloody Mary, which was made with sake instead of vodka (I think due to a liquor license restriction?) and said it was a fun spin on a classic. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the meal. The hollandaise sauce was very cheese-like and the haddock just a tad too blackened. The meal as a whole tasted exactly like a grilled cheese sandwich. Not bad, but I wouldn't this particular meal a second time The setting was more of a diner than sit down "dress up"; it's very casual. The service was average, but the real appeal of the experience was the quickness at which our food was delivered to us; some of the fastest food to table delivery I've had. Classic plastic Coke branded cups were used for our iced tea which isn't the first thing you would choose to drink out of. The unsweetened tea was not very good, in part due to the tap water taste. The silverware was small and had a cheapish feel. There were no extra napkins on the table. Seating is comfortable, with both high tables, low tables, and booths available Overall: A fair price point given the region, however it comes at a cost with the "diner-like" feel. The lobster bennedict and crab cake bennedict were absolutely amazing. The hollandaise sauce was delish and I am usually not a fan of the sauce at all. The eggs were poached just right as well. My family and I had lunch here on July 6, 2018, our first time at this restaurant. My wife had a lobster Cesar salad that had plenty of lobster on it and she loved it. Our daughter had the California Chicken Rap and she loved her choice also (had to bring half home with her). One grandson had steak tips with mash potatoes with veggies and he devoured his lunch. My second grandson (picky eater) had the kid's grilled cheese with fries and he ate most of it. I tried a Portuguese Cacoila Sandwich with fries for the first time ever and I thought it was just okay. This is a great place for families, as they have a diverse menu, good food and very reasonable prices, compared to most restaurants we've tried on the Cape. We will definitely be back here the next time we are in the Falmouth area. read more

Horrible service from front of house to waiter. Horrible food. Unsanitary conditions. Will never. Ever. Ever go back. Rude staff, acted as if it was a chore to serve us or seat us? So, we went here for lunch on Sunday, August 18th. Walking up it was quite clear that employees were in the back smoking and the parking lot had about three cars. Walking into the building we got a big smell of pot so you may want to address that with your employees. Once in, the place had alright decor, the menu is larger and the service was fine. The meal was okay, children's menu so-so. Our waters were not filled and it took awhile to get a bill. Walking out the younger staff was just standing around the bar and in the kitchen eating. Homey and delicious. My friend and I came here this morning for a little late brunch. Had to wait about 10 min. for a table so bad at all. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had the Belgian waffle special with bananas and strawberries and maple syrup. Just what I wanted and it was a good size. I got lobster Benedict with cornbread muffin................. it was ok I would give the cornbread muffin 5 stars but the amount of lobster I got was very sad like very sad. Like my dish was $15 I did not expect to get only 4 pieces of lobster meat and 10 scattered hash browns. My food was very skimpy. Smh it's cool because I go to experience something new. Would I ever go back probably not. They didn't leave a memeorable experience on me. Our server was very prompt and friendly for the most part! We were very disappointed with the food, especially since the menu looked so promising. I was very excited to try their crab cake benedict, however, I had to send it back. The first time it came out the poached eggs were over cooked and the yolk was not runny. I asked them to make it again. It came out and the yolks were runny this time, but so were the whites. My waitress then rolled her eyes when I said I couldn't eat it. She asked if I wanted them to try again or for them to take it off the check...having them cook it a third time seemed ridiculous. If they cannot poach eggs properly, they should not be offering eggs benedict. My mom's breakfast was okay, but room temperature at best. She made a statement to me wondering if they had any heat lamps in the kitchen. We ordered pancakes to share and they were also room temperature and the butter just wouldn't melt. Sunday breakfast was in dire need... Did some research on Yelp to find a reasonable priced breakfast, who took credit cards. From posts and reviews we decided to give a shot. When we arrived the parking lot was full (18-22 spots), so we ha to use the parking lot to the right of the restaurant, not a far walk. Up on entering (11:45AM Sunday) there was no line and we were greeted by the wait staff promptly. We were seated at a 4 person table in the middle of the restaurant but per our personal preference we asked to relocate to a two person further in. Without hesitation or question we were quickly relocated further in. Out waitress, within minutes greeted us with a friendly smile and took our drinks. Water with a side of lemons and coffee. Menu was average, not an abundance of different options but all basics were covered along with some specialties. Once the waitress returned with our drinks out order was taken. (Wife) grilled blueberry muffin, scrambled eggs and a side of sausage. (Me) clamcakes Benedict with a side of sausage. The waitress pointed out to my wife she would be better (pricewise) to order a combination instead of multiple sides. Food arrived hot off the oven, everything was cooked perfectly. Eggs were not watery, sausage was crisp on the out the outside, cooked through on the inside, grilled blueberry muffin was a pot on and the home fries were not too salty, seasoned to perfection and cooked properly. After serving our food, the follow up to ensure we were enjoying our meal and refill of our drinks was done adequately. Needless to say we cleaned our plates and enjoyed our meal. Our waitress dropped the bill at the table towards the end of our meal, with a "no rush" ..... We prefer this closing method. Total bill, $23 without tip, we included a 20% tip. Upon leaving, several of the wait staff wished us a happy holiday. The environment was quaint, a dreary day outside but inside was busy and cheerful. We had a great dinner! Three course meal special - fish chowder, seafood risotto and a dessert of our choice! We got banana cream pie (to-go bc we were stuffed!) This is such a nice spot! We came to crabapples at about 4:10 for a late lunch with my mother. I had an incredible Spicy Southern Chicken soup, with beans carrots corn chicken and celery. It was divine. I also had a Caesar Salad which was beyond my expectations. My mother got the Spring Salad and she was also beyond impressed. It was a good start to our evening, service was incredible. Also for any tea lovers out there, me and mum ordered Black Hot Tea and I wish I could know what kind it was because it was better than any tea I can make at home ***EDIT*** I wrote this mid-meal. Casual fresh seafood classics. Service was a bit slow - our waiter was kind but slow (maybe new to the job or we caught him at a bad time). Stopped here for lunch because it was the first place we saw, looked decent from the outside and there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. Glad we did! My wife and I both had a Cape Cod Rueben - fried fresh fish topped with Swiss cheese, cole slaw and thousand island dressing sandwiched between two slices of grilled marble rye. Delicious! Neither of us wanted fries so my wife was able to get some fresh fruit and I got some sautéed vegetables. We were going to quit then, but the dessert menu had a freshly made mixed berry pie which we couldn't resist - served a la mode of course. Not the greatest ambience, but very reliable, high quality fresh food.The place is packed all three meals and the servers are excellent and work super hard. I would give it 5 stars except that I thought the blueberry pie was pretty awful.The fruit was flavored with cinnamon but otherwise overcooked and tasteless.The crust was terrible. I thought it was a lard crust and it was not at all flakey or tender. Skip it....the entree portions are very generous anyway. Now, the good stuff....... EXCELLENT fish chowder...probably the best I've ever had. Sure, in my book it could do with a bit less salt, but kudos for perfectly cooked, tender potatoes, fresh tasting pieces of fish, and savory tastes of wine and herbs. Bravo. Even reheated in a microwave ( I took home two bowls to enjoy at work ) - still delicious. The entree was "Haddock Oscar" - a very popular menu item. It is topped with a crab cake ( also popular here ). I asked for no Hollandaise, but some tarter or chowder instead for dipping. Our very kind and efficient server brought me tarter, remoulade, and a dish of chowder. YUM. Someone in the kitchen took the trouble to peel the asparagus ! They make their crab cakes with some cornbread, so they are sweet. While I prefer mine to consist almost entirely of crab meat...it was still tasty, and the remoulade added excellent kick. The Haddock was obviously fresh, a huge piece, perfectly cooked and topped with crispy bead crumbs...really superb. I always opt for a simple prep with very fresh fish. I could not believe the dish was only $13.99. No wonder they pack 'em in. ( Tourists and locals alike. ) We will definitely return on our next visit to the Cape. read more
