We ordered "The Big Skipper" which consisted of two pieces of banana bread French toast (unbelievable with hot syrup), two eggs sunny side up, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, potatoes and raisin bread. I have always wanted to come here, but usually go to my favorite - Seafood Sam's. But this weekend I decided that I wanted something different (not fried seafood) and came to Crabapple's. I got the bikini salad with the seared scallops instead of chicken. I was a little upset they still charged me $6 for the scallops (which is the add on price to a plain salad) and the full price of the salad without the chicken, but it was so delicious I didn't care! My scallops were perfectly seared with just enough moisture. I would add to any salad. We came at 3 pm on a Sunday and were one of three parties there, so service was fast and excellent. Halfway through our meal an elderly couple came and the waitresses were so nice and polite to them. Often people are rude (talking fast, etc.), but you can tell they cared about their patrons. Came in yesterday to start our day on the Cape. Service was pretty slow, atmosphere was cozy but absolutely hectic due to all the little kids. The food was fine. Very typical, Cape-style breakfast food. No frills, a little greasy, but still pretty good and affordable. I got the special lobster omelet and it was fairly good. A good portion of lobster, cheese and asparagus and a VERY small portion of home fries on the side with toast. My fiance got the special banana bread french toast and also liked it. Driven by this place for as long as I can remember heading to and from Falmouth. Never gave it much thought since I am usually staying in the Heights or East Falmouth and dine closer there. Last weekend while down for Memorial Weekend, decided to change it up from the usual Mary Ellen's Bakery or a Dunkins bagel or McDonald's big breakfast w hot cakes. Went on Yelp! and this place was at the top for breakfast. So we gave it a go, headed over there across town on a nice Saturday morning to feast. As when trying anywhere new, especially for breakfast and being the first meal of the day after a night of drinking and not getting any action from the woman you're with the night before(sort of), it's a saving grace. The parking there is tight. We rolled in and every spot was filled. We camped out for about 5 minutes until someone left. There was a wait for tables and the counter was full. We took two seats at the counter when a couple left, when other parties preferred to wait for a table. I do not care if it's a counter, high top or table just get me something. I am not picky. There was a family there waiting w a group of like 10. Have mercy. The patrons in there were locals and people on holiday. Majority of the crowd seemed like they would fit in at a party at Mitt Romney's summer home. Pink shorts, white jeans, boat shoes and sweaters over their shoulders. Probably mentioned the words 'white trash' a handful of times and were making fun of their friends who were not there. Then you had me, no shower, hadn't shaved in a few days and just a fleece and shorts and a bad comb job. The service is good. Everyone working there was very nice and always had a smile. The menu is very traditional with some great combinations created. I went for the The Big Skipper which includes 2 pancakes or french toast w two eggs any style, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, home-fries and choice of toast. Ultimate plate for me. The home fries were decent, I like my crispy and these were far from it. Had a little seasoning to it. The french toast was delicious. Whatever bread they use they got it going on. The bacon wasn't thick enough for me, but the fat sausage made up for that. Laura got an omelette which she loved. Forget what kind, but what does it matter. They have a liquor licence so they serve bloody mary's and mimosas. Didn't both with those, just coffee thank you. I'll probably be back, they also serve lunch and dinner and may check that out. But the breakfast is reasonably priced and hearty. Great service and if you don't mind running into a few douche bags at the next table, you'll be alright. read more

Went here for a late breakfast. Very close to where we were staying and we were seated right away with fast friendly service. By far the best breakfast I have had in a very long time...if not the best. Even better than the taste and atmosphere are the prices. My $9 meal included two full size blueberry pancakes (whole blueberries!), two scrambled eggs, two large sausages, two pieces of bacon, two pieces of toast and homefries. Even the coffee was good. They often serve "baked chicken" from the day before or even earlier. It is dry and tough. When freshly baked it is delicious though. Hit or miss, not knowing which "baked chicken" you might receive. read more

Service was a bit off, got the wrong salad dressing and no coffee refill but the food was really great. And I think the waitress might have been new. I recommend the cobb salad and the soup of the day. Well I think this is my new favorite breakfast place. Ever. In the world. It is small and, being the off season, was filled with locals who were ridiculously friendly and chatty with us. The staff was very kind and helpful. My husband had standard breakfast: eggs, toast, hashbrowns. He said it was all good. I had the special French toast which was blueberry bread French toast with a side of sausage. The French toast was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, no added syrup was needed - just a bit of butter. I have the signature crabcake eggs Benedict and I thought the crab cake was a little on the sweet side which was weird to me. My honey be home made corn beef hash with eggs and home fries. The corn beef was delicious and you can taste the chunks of seasoned corn beef and I have to say the rye bread was amazing The price was really reasonable considering that it tourist town and everything was expensive. Crabapple's is the best which is why their parking lot is always full. I am a local to the area and there are few restaurants that I frequent. Crabpples is open for B,L &D during out summer season so be alert to their schedule. The chef is also the owner and every dish is fantastic. My favorite breakfast is the Crabcake Benedict! I'm going to preface my review by saying I probably ordered the wrong thing. But the fried seafood here needs work. The beer-battered fish was about a cm or less of fish surrounded on all sides by a cm of batter. The fried clams and scallops were less densely armored, but still more reminiscent of corn dogs than what you'd expect from a restaurant supposedly of this caliber. Probably I should have satisfied my fisherman's platter cravings at the Quarterdeck or something, or just come back in the summer when more classic spots are open. My friend's lobster roll looked good, though, and she uncharacteristically finished her fries, so I'm not going to go less than three stars, especially given that the other reviewers can't all have crappy taste. read more

I grew up in Falmouth, and Crabapple's was always a place we frequented for a comfort meal. Recently in town visiting, we made sure to stop by Crabapple's, where I enjoyed delicious Clam Chowder (...and I'm a Clam Chowder snob). Their pies looked excellent too, though we didn't have any. We had a delicious weekend brunch here. It is a smaller place, and I think they could use a few more staff; it took a while to seat our party of 6, even though there were plenty of open tables and I told the server we were willing to split up. The food was great, I had a breakfast sampler - breakfast potatoes were fantastic, blueberry pancakes were delicious. Others at our table had belgian waffle, cranberry walnut pancakes, & an omelette; all seemed delicious. We visited for lunch and had a great experience. We ordered the Asian salad with grilled chicken, and the lobster slider which came with a cup of their fish chowda. Everything we ordered was very fresh. I felt that the food was plain and at times missing that extra umph that would elevate it to 5 stars. Fish chowda was served with oyster crackers, the soup was very creamy and had a good portion of fresh fish. The lobster slider was served on a grilled slider bun with a fresh lobster(mostly claw meat) classic lobster roll filling. The Asian salad was very fresh and the grilled chicken we added was perfectly cooked but barely seasoned, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and nice Asian noodles.
