A big disappointment. Ordered the Crab Dip, if there was any crab in it, it was overpowered by the cheese and other ingredients. For $12 I expect to taste and see crab! I also ordered French Onion soup, another let down. French Onion soup should be loaded with cheese and onions, Crabby Abbys was stingy on both. I paid $8 for broth. My husband ordered the Cheese Steak sandwich and wasn't impressed, nothing special. Lastly, the wait staff were friendly and attentive, but very young and unprofessional, talking loudly while working and too playful in their behavior. I won't be returning. read more

Got back to this special place for the first time in several months. Because of the Fourth of July weekend, they were slammed, and we were just stopping by for drinks and a quick bite. Despite the rush and the high demand on the lone bartender and wait staff, everyone was just as warm and welcoming as always. We had the conch fritters as an appetizer, then the spinach and feta pizza. Both were AMAZING, and expertly seasoned and served. Not bad! Came here on NYE because I was in nearby Asheville and everything was closed. The fries were AMAZING and the beer selection was alright. The bartenders were nice and it was great of them to stay open and offer a limited menu for us up to midnight. We also had the wings, which were ok, 'cause the garlic parmesan had way too much olive oil and was a bit underseasoned. It was fun, though, and I'm glad we were able to stop by. read more

This is probably the best restaurant in this entire town! The food is absolutely fantastic and they absolutely always get my to go order right!!! Which puts them ahead of everyone else 10x over but the food alone the flavors and The selection and the quality is so far above what is available anywhere else in this town is so superior it's just amazing! The prices are just a little higher than the rest of everyone else but you pay for what you get but the quantity of the food also is larger then you get elsewhere and you absolutely are getting a chef Quality meal! First thing we noticed was the restaurant was dingy and smelled of stinky fish. We both ordered crab cakes which were mostly breading, the house wine was meh, and they ran out of the night's vegetable so we were given sautéed squash Instead. Also, the service was awkward. We detoured off of I40 to have lunch at a different place (that turned out to be out of business) so we stumbled upon this. We loved this little place. Hubby had a Monterey chicken sandwich & I had the house salad & soup of the day. Soup was Cream of Potato w/ Steak. It was delicious & perfect for a cool day!! Hubby said his sandwich was awesome. Wanted to love this place. We went early for dinner on a Saturday. It took about 45 minutes to produce 2 crab cake sandwiches and a salad with grilled shrimp. No appetizer. The atmosphere is good. Nice to find a pub in Marion. The food was good. I enjoyed my sandwich. When the check came, there were two extra $2.50 charges that we couldn't explain. When we asked we learned "the fries were extra." That's fine...but please explain that when you take the order. Our server asked me, "Do you want fries or onion rings?" when I ordered my sandwich and failed to mention this is a separate charge. We felt pretty misled by that. Since the foods was so slow to be produced and we felt deceived by the extra charge for a side with a sandwich, I can't give Crabby Abby's a very favorable review. read more

Okay, so I went here with a large group, like 25-30 people, so I'm going to be easy on the service. Honestly, the service was pretty good given how many people we had. I think the waitresses handled it well. There was one waitress who was pretty expressive about her stress, which made it difficult to ask for anything, but I understand why she was stressed. My beef here is with the food. The prices are INSANE, like outrageous. I paid $9.50 for a burger, that didn't even come with fries. The burger came out and was supposed to have bacon and it didn't. When I asked for the bacon the waitress just complained and said she'd take $.50 off. WHAT?! I want the bacon and $.50 off is nothing. The burger also had no condiments on it. I had to beg for condiments and by the time I got them the burger was cold. The burger was chewy and cooked poorly. The bread was freezing when they first even brought it out. I just felt sick to my stomach thinking that I was eating a burger that wasn't even comparable to Hardee's for like 4x the price. I'll never go back because it's just not worth the price. I don't know know how the owners can justify charging people so much. They're probably making a 200% markup on this food. However! The onion rings were incredible. read more
