This place was awesome! My boyfriend doesn't compliment restaurant food....and he LOVED the Bacon Jam burger! We showed up about 30 minutes before closing...but the service was great! A couple of ladies that were eating shared some of their corn and i had to order some for myself! I tried the Dirty burger and it was soooo good! And after our meal I got a little rootbeer float for free!

A truly unique dining experience! The food is beyond crazy good; the Crispy Potato Salad is one of my favorites! Eat outside on the deck, they grill select menu items on the deck, adding to that backyard bbq at your cousin's house (the cousins you actually like) and can't wait to go back to see what's new on the menu, because there is always something new at Crack! When your boss asks about your expense report, you can say proudly: "Yes, Sir or Ma'am, I spent $22.00 on Crack, and it was delish! I mean, AT Crack"

This spot never misses. I love burgers and somehow this place feels like I'm dining for the first time each time as the burger is always as good as I remember (if not better) and I don't get tired of ordering the bacon jam over and over again lol. The owner usually is the one cooking the burgers as I've experienced in the past on the outside grill. It's connected to a golf course too if that's a hobby you enjoy. Service fast and price reasonable for one of the best burgers in SoCal if not worldwide. Lots of golf art and some merch to buy like golf balls in the connected store

Went to Long Beach on a nice Sunday afternoon. Was looking for a unique place to eat in the area. The one that stuck out is Crack! It's located at the Golf Course in a nice and secluded area with a balcony for dogs if you got one. They had full pictures of their entire menu, we ended up getting their Lovers special, split of the top two burgers in half: one with a bacon jam and one more of a classic bacon cheese lettuce style. They made it on a charbroiled grill right next to us. Got sides of pineapple cole slaw and chicken bean soup. Everything was quality and fresh, better than manybof the other options nearby that I've already eaten out at. For a good burger joint and a nice place to relax for a bit, try out Crack! I'll be back eventually.

This burger joint is directly connected to the Bixby Village golf course. Their menu is very simple and has mostly burgers. They'll ask you if you want a side but they're actually $3 each so be mindful of that. They also come in a small plastic almost Costco size sample cup, wish the portions were a bit bigger since it's an additional add to the meal. They specialize in the bacon jam burgers, they make each burger on the outdoor grill so it takes longer for them to make. For the price point of $15-$16 per burger, I would've expected it to be much larger in size. You also order at the counter, and the tab doesn't get closed till later which is a bit odd and confusing on whose order gets out first if you are ordering in a larger groups.

I've been going around town looking for the best burgers. Crack is located right off the golf course and you make your order at the small restaurant at the pro shop. I ordered the Ortega and the Bacon Jam. I went to the patio to chill at the tables and look at the golf course while they go my burgers going on the flat top. I got my food in less than 10 minutes. The Ortega was flavorful, but the Bacon Jam got me. I'll be ordering this one next time I'm in the area. To compliment my burger, I got a potato salad. On the small side, but it's solid too.

WOW! This place is easily the best all-around. Everything we tried was phenomenal: the burgers (the "Dirty" is a must-try), the corn on the cob, the coleslaw, and the tri-tip tacos. The root beer on tap was an amazing bonus, and the sweet touch of cookies on our way out made it extra special. Exceptional service from start to finish!

Often a friend and I go on a quest for a great burger, usually based on a tip or word of mouth. Crack does indeed have a great burger. For our first visit we just went with the Dirty Burger which was awesome. If you want a more traditional burger with lettuce and tomato be sure to ask which one that is, the guys running this place will go out of their way to please you, they are great. I really liked the laid back and relaxing vibe of the outside patio over looking the golf course. The burger is cooked outside on a grill right in front of you. You are free to talk to the cook while he does his thing. The whole setup is kind of like a home style grill party. The burger features a very tasty beef patty, possibly a lean chuck, but plenty juicy without being messy. The patty extends beyond the bun and is not a paper thin massacre like other smash style burgers. While I'm a fan of a perfectly cooked thick burger, this burger passed the test of taste, texture and size. The bun was decent, and held up well through the entire devouring process. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Started with the corn salad, which was fresh and had a great thousand island type of dressing. The white bean chicken chili was hardy, warm and delicious. The downside is they came in these very small containers, and it was a little awkward to eat. Tried the Dirty and Bacon Jam burger; the flavor profiles were very similar and tasted the same. Tried the beef on its own and it didn't have much seasoning. The flavor was fair and okay. Ordered the root beer on tap; it was okay, felt like it could have had a stronger licorice taste. However, that might not be the restaurant's fault. The service was amazing! They were friendly and gave us a little cookie at the end of our meal. The parking lot is small, but we managed to find parking quickly on a sunday afternoon. Small cozy restaurant.

My coworker turned heads at work today when he said he wanted a Crack Burger, so we decided to stop by for lunch on a weekday. This place serves really amazing smash burgers that were incredibly delicious. Location: This green-and-white burger stop is located right between the golf courses at Bixby Village. It does not have large signage and is independently owned. Parking: Free parking is available in the lot next to the restaurant. The lot is a bit uneven and bumpy in some areas. Service: The staff were very friendly to our group, especially when we walked in looking a bit confused because of the lack of signage outside. They explained the menu, gave recommendations, and made our food right away. We got to enjoy the nice patio view of the golf course, with the smell of patties searing on the grill wafting through the air. Food: Amazing! We tried three burgers as a combo: The Dirty, Bacon Jam, and Ortega. Each burger was cooked outside on their patio grill overlooking the golf course and came out super juicy and flavorful. The Bacon Jam was a fan favorite. The lettuce paired really well with the smash burger and sauces. We also tried the white bean chili and macaroni salad. While those were good, the burgers were definitely the main highlight. They also have excellent root beer on tap, poured into chilled glasses. Overall: I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want a burger that goes beyond typical fast food. It is a great spot with a nice view, quality food, and a very creative name.

Why didn't we make it over here sooner? My husband and daughter came for lunch today and I am still thinking about these flavors. Seriously one of the best burgers I've had but the real delight here is the other treats. Corn off the cob with some sort of fiendish seasoning that makes it creamy buttery and tangy all at once, potato salad that is definitely not your Grandmas and has loads of flavor, a red cabbage slaw that made me ask what delightful taste that was (hint basil and ginger pops here and there), and finished with cookies that were hot from the oven. Did I mention fresh root beer from a draft tap? The service was great too but run here for the flavors. Not one miss on today's menu for sure! Can't wait to go back soon and try the tacos.

It was a cool place right up, until the end. The person I'm assuming is the owner actually asked us to wait before placing our order because he was slammed. Understandable. So then, another guy took our order and also cooked the food. When we ordered, we didn't get any drinks, but he told us we could help ourselves to the fridge. I'm assuming because they were older, the soda can we had actually still had a Halloween ad on it and were in the month of December. We ended up not drinking anything but still had the can with us and when were ready to pay and leave. At checkout, the owner pointed out that we had a can. The guy ringing us up just stood there next to us without saying anything, so I tried to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the owner seemed to assume we were trying to steal and had already processed it, and he wasn't really listening as I was explaining what happened. The food itself was good, above average. I can see why they don't serve fries, since they'd probably take away from the burger experience. I recommend getting sliders so you can enjoy and separate the savory and sweet sauces. But it wasn't worth the price. Overall, not terrible, but that interaction left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won't be going back. I've never felt that embarrassed, especially with him not hearing me out and just clicking away on the tablet. Felt super inferior and stupid. And just a heads up, the tip defaults to 20% so be weary of that.

My family and I went to Crack for Father's Day dinner and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by David, who said we had "the most complicated order he had ever heard." The highlight of the order was my brother who ordered two burgers: just the patty, no bun, no toppings. David responded to this order by asking if my brother was a dog and wanted the two patties served in a bowl with a side bowl of water. Now some may be offended by this comment, but we really enjoyed David's sense of humor. We enjoyed our Father's Day dinner and will be back in the future! read more

Still as great as it ever was. Finally had time and opportunity to go back for another burger. Pure crack. So was the side of pasta salad. And you still sit above the golf course, watch the ducks mess with the golfers (the ducks won), listen to the other patrons discuss middle-aged health isses. Golf course stuff. While the owner and the waiter/cook are nice, helpful... and can grill a burger to perfection. Which is *really* the part I care about. read more

We pulled up to a public golf course and thought we were in the wrong place, but I am glad we found this place as it was amazing. The menu is small with only three burgers, chips, and a couple of small salads. We tried all 3 burgers, Ortega Chile, bacon jam and the dirty burger. All three were delicious, my wife daughter and I all had a different favorite. If you are in the area or even close and in the mood for a great burger, this is the place! read more

Wife and I were leaving the VA hungry as heck. She said let's try out this place "Crack" and I said sure why not! We both didn't realize it's located at the Bixby Village Golf Clubhouse. At first we were skeptical but then the server took our order. I had the Dirty Burger and my wife had the 3 year old. I went with the Mac Salad and she had the Apple Pie Baked Beans. Root Beer on draft in big frozen steins to wash it down. The burgers were phenomenal!!!!!!!! The sides were just as amazing! WOW!!!! Wasn't expecting this but by far 1 of the top 3 burgers I've ever had! The service was excellent and is definitely recommend Crack! Looking forward to swinging by again soon! read more

I won't lie upon walking in, we were not expecting the food to be as good as it was. This place is much more than meets the eye. All the open tables on the patio were in the sun so we opted to sit inside, even though it was really muggy inside. After we ordered, the manager Dave came over & made friendly conversation & even brought us some free samples! He even ended up setting up a table outside in the shade for us because it was so hot. He went above & beyond without us even asking. The burgers were so so good. Very saucey & flavorful! They even had root beer on tap which was so refreshing! Best burger in Long Beach. Not the most conventional restaurant as it's literally inside a golf cafe lobby, but that's shouldn't stop you. Depending on the time and day that you go, you may be waiting for some time for your food as they are very short staffed, but It's worth the wait. Owner may seem a bit unorthodox, but he's a really cool guy and a fantastic cook. Love sitting out on the balcony on a sunny day, overlooking the golf course. Truly a hidden gem. Make sure to try the Root Beer on draft. read more

Wow. Had lunch here for the first time yesterday, on a perfect Southern California afternoon. Hamburgers were GREAT, easily the best I've had in the last 20 years. Better than the $28 burger at the 908, a high-end joint. In fact, they reminded me so much of the hamburgers off the grill at family picnics back in my childhood, tender meat, charred just right, tasty sauces. And that bacon jam! The caramelized onions are sweet and the bacon as smoky as you'd want. Sides were also tasty, we tried the chicken chili, the apple baked beans and the turmeric rice-a-roni salad. All were good, the baked beans superior. Root beer on tap, who can object to that? We got a free dessert too! Just a tiny cupcake but so moist and flavorful. We ate on the back patio overlooking the golf course, where we could enjoy watching our burgers being cooked on the outdoor grill. It's an environment conducive to talking to your fellow diners, which we did, meeting visitors from Colorado and locals alike. What a great meal. We will definitely be back. read more

Defitnely one of my favorite burger spots. They have various different options, you can always customize your burgers to your liking. I also really enjoy ordering the slider platter as an appetizer, specially when we are dining in as a family of 7. Staff has never disappointed me, they are very polite and efficient. Burgers were awesome! Had the Bacon Jam and 3-Year Old Cheeseburger. Read all the reviews on Yelp and had to try them myself. Bacon jam had a unique flavor. I thought it was chili. I'd describe it as slightly sweet, mapley, with a hint of smoke. The beef burgers were so fresh! Almost had the texture of meat loaf/meatball type with great juice. The sweet brioche bread went perfect with the burger. We were offered desert brownies as we left, and that was great! read more

Best smash burger I have ever had. Obviously fresh patty. All the toppings and bun were super fresh, we had the Mac and cheese side and the potato salad. Both were out of this world. I visit this area several times a year and this is in the list of must revisits! Not too Hard to find... actually in the club house for the golf course so expect that and easy stuff. OMG!!! What a pleasant surprise at this golf course snack-shack!! I ordered the Bacon Jam smash burger and a side of pineapple slaw... I TASTED, a tomato salad that blew my hair back, then a sample of the white bean chili! Holy Cow! I asked the chef if he was married because who wouldn't want a husband that cooked like that? The best burgers in Long Beach. Seriously. But way more than just burgers. Ask for the pork chop Ortega style, or Dave's fresh fish. He has different sides every day and all of them are bomb, try his chicken chili. Dave himself is an awesome guy that will give you way more than just a great meal. He'll also be your entertainment. His staff members, Charlie and that other guy are also the shit. Funny guys with a great atmosphere. The best meals I've ever had at any golf course, ever. The people that hang out here are also incredible. Highly recommended!!! read more

Come hungry! This is a treat and a must experience. Patio seating above the golf green. The correct answer to which side to order is one of each, please. White bean chili, rice a Ronnie salad, apple pie baked beans... it's all amazing. Then there are the burgers which are grilled up to order. Dirty is always a good idea. The unexpected secret weapon is the tuna salad sandwich. Do not miss this gastric experience. read more

Every time I eat at Crack burger i am blown away at how good the burger is. Great meat, bacon jam is so flavorful and it's cooked to perfection. The sides are incredible as well. I find myself craving the white bean chili on cold days. A few weeks ago they had fries, which is rare, they were awesome. This is not a typical "quick lunch". On a day when you have some extra time for lunch, do yourself a favor; grab a seat in the deck, order an ice cold beer and have one of the best burgers you have ever had. read more

Best burgers, best burgers, bestest burgers ever -- can't rave more about this place! Tried three burgers here, yes, 3 because it was so good. All three were delicious. 1. Ortega with Porterhouse- juicy and tender. Everything just works, it just melts in your mouth. Devoured this in one breath. 2. Ortega with meat patty- so much flavor with crispy meat patty, melted cheese - cheeseburger heaven! 3. The Dirty- a nice spicy kick at end- did I mention the crispy meat patty, melted cheese AND bacon jam?! - another one please! Sides- We tried the Thai coconut soup. It's got a canvas awning and heater if necessary! I also has 5 tables for seating for 4! Plus stools at the fencing that looks out to the Golf Greens! The tables can be moved together for larger parties!

I told her good customer service would have been for her to come back to the phone if even to say, I hadn't forgot about you and will be with you shortly. She admitted I hadn't forgot a valid point. I ordered 2 burgers, a double cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger both with fries. To make matters worse the cheese was not even melted on the burger. Just a cold slice of cheese on both burgers. I had bit into the burger before realizing the cheese was cold and not melted or soft. I'm going to give Poly Burgers a rest. Today's experience was frustrating.

Food is out of this world, fresh and tasty! It's been many many years since I've walked into a place and the owner has greeted me at the menu and walked me through the whole menu. This is what Dave did @Crack , I told him to just hook me up. He gave me the bacon jam burger, and the Dirty Bird we had the Elote corn and the IPA in his amazing beer mugs that are insulated. My mom and I both ordered them from Host Dave should get a kickback from that @Host . We also had the White Bean Chili and the Red Cabbage Salad that was amazing good crunch everything freshly made so don't expect it to come out super fast just sit back and enjoy that Ice Cold IPA . Dave has definitely got it going on over here so glad I finally came. My mom has been begging me to come here for over a year, little did I know about Dave over here serving up the Homemade Crack ! This is a crappy response from a crappy person. I want to address a few things, you messaged me directly insisting that I did not go to your restaurant. Not only did I respond to your rude message. I responded 15 minutes later at 9 PM. If you simply said something along the lines of we have bad days, I'm stressed out, I just wasn't feeling it etc. I wouldn't have cared to respond whether it was said in private or public. But you didn't do that you went out of your way to double down on the if I talk that way I'd be out of business. Well, you insulted me, directly once in private messages and a second time on your page seems to be a trend, but what do I know? Lastly, I just don't understand if you feel I did not go there why ask me to revise the review why not just report it to yelp and say it was fraud ......... make it make sense? I wish I was kidding. Easier said then done, they also have some killer lemonade. Don't look at me. Your order comes with a great chili appetizer (super famous) and a vanilla ice cream (super legit) with caramel syrup. Yeah man, yeah. More expensive than in-n-out, but tastes better. That's a thing. The Dirty Girl (bacon jam) The bacon jam is DELICIOUS and the name says it all. 3. Potato Salad (the best I've ever had) 4. Apple Pie BBQ Baked Beans (I won't give away his secret) 5. It was thanks to Yelp that we found this secret gem! This is the place to go if you like smash burgers! The owner was so cool that you felt like you were having a BBQ in your own backyard. We decided to sit on the patio because it was cool and had some shade. We got the salad with our Smashburger. We tried some of his white bean soup, and it was delicious. Dave at Crack Burger lives up to the hype. The burgers are excellent, but so are the special menu items he comes up with. Dave and his team handled dinner for our son's 6th birthday at Bixby Village Golf Course and made the whole thing seamless. He built a menu that was both kid-friendly and high quality, and somehow got about 25 people fed in under 45 minutes so we could stay on schedule. If I could give ten stars, I would! All of his food is great. I am a sides girl, and all the unique sides he makes blow me away every time. If you like root beer, you will love the root beer on draft. He puts them in a chilled cup that gets so cold it turns the root beer in to a slushee. The service is great. The burgers here are pretty good, with a decent variety to choose from. However, I found the flavors a bit lacking and the service was average at best. It's a nice spot for a quick bite, but there are better options out there if you're looking for something really special. The food from 2. Crack is seriously delicious! I tried their signature dishes, and each bite was packed with flavor. The takeout was quick, and everything was well-packaged, which is always a plus. when we get to crack it's like my wife is on a mission to be known as the baddest pound for pound eater in the LBC. at a mere 130 lbs and able to put away 2 bacon jams and 2 sides, she is doing pretty well if you ask me. she has no desire to eat this much at any other restaurant, but at crack, she just can't stop- certified crackhead. read more

I recently tried this burger spot and wow, just wow! The flavors burst in your mouth, and the patty was cooked to perfection. The bun was fresh, and the toppings complemented each other wonderfully. Amazing burgers and every single side we tried was delicious (Buffalo chicken macaroni salad, white bean chili, cabbage slaw!). The bacon jam and dirty burgers were our favorite with so much flavor. It truly didn't taste like anything special and I felt like the portion was small. For what it was, the price wasn't justified. At the very least, it tasted like a decent burger. Since the restaurant is in a food hall, the food was presented in a paper bag. It did not come with utensils nor napkins, so you may want to ask them for some when you pick up your order. They do have happy hours Monday-Friday 3-6pm with 50% off sides, beers, and wines. It might be worth checking it out then.
