WOW! This place is easily the best all-around. Everything we tried was phenomenal: the burgers (the "Dirty" is a must-try), the corn on the cob, the coleslaw, and the tri-tip tacos. The root beer on tap was an amazing bonus, and the sweet touch of cookies on our way out made it extra special. Exceptional service from start to finish!

Went to Long Beach on a nice Sunday afternoon. Was looking for a unique place to eat in the area. The one that stuck out is Crack! It's located at the Golf Course in a nice and secluded area with a balcony for dogs if you got one. They had full pictures of their entire menu, we ended up getting their Lovers special, split of the top two burgers in half: one with a bacon jam and one more of a classic bacon cheese lettuce style. They made it on a charbroiled grill right next to us. Got sides of pineapple cole slaw and chicken bean soup. Everything was quality and fresh, better than manybof the other options nearby that I've already eaten out at. For a good burger joint and a nice place to relax for a bit, try out Crack! I'll be back eventually.

This spot never misses. I love burgers and somehow this place feels like I'm dining for the first time each time as the burger is always as good as I remember (if not better) and I don't get tired of ordering the bacon jam over and over again lol. The owner usually is the one cooking the burgers as I've experienced in the past on the outside grill. It's connected to a golf course too if that's a hobby you enjoy. Service fast and price reasonable for one of the best burgers in SoCal if not worldwide. Lots of golf art and some merch to buy like golf balls in the connected store

This burger joint is directly connected to the Bixby Village golf course. Their menu is very simple and has mostly burgers. They'll ask you if you want a side but they're actually $3 each so be mindful of that. They also come in a small plastic almost Costco size sample cup, wish the portions were a bit bigger since it's an additional add to the meal. They specialize in the bacon jam burgers, they make each burger on the outdoor grill so it takes longer for them to make. For the price point of $15-$16 per burger, I would've expected it to be much larger in size. You also order at the counter, and the tab doesn't get closed till later which is a bit odd and confusing on whose order gets out first if you are ordering in a larger groups.

I've been going around town looking for the best burgers. Crack is located right off the golf course and you make your order at the small restaurant at the pro shop. I ordered the Ortega and the Bacon Jam. I went to the patio to chill at the tables and look at the golf course while they go my burgers going on the flat top. I got my food in less than 10 minutes. The Ortega was flavorful, but the Bacon Jam got me. I'll be ordering this one next time I'm in the area. To compliment my burger, I got a potato salad. On the small side, but it's solid too.

Started with the corn salad, which was fresh and had a great thousand island type of dressing. The white bean chicken chili was hardy, warm and delicious. The downside is they came in these very small containers, and it was a little awkward to eat. Tried the Dirty and Bacon Jam burger; the flavor profiles were very similar and tasted the same. Tried the beef on its own and it didn't have much seasoning. The flavor was fair and okay. Ordered the root beer on tap; it was okay, felt like it could have had a stronger licorice taste. However, that might not be the restaurant's fault. The service was amazing! They were friendly and gave us a little cookie at the end of our meal. The parking lot is small, but we managed to find parking quickly on a sunday afternoon. Small cozy restaurant.

My coworker turned heads at work today when he said he wanted a Crack Burger, so we decided to stop by for lunch on a weekday. This place serves really amazing smash burgers that were incredibly delicious. Location: This green-and-white burger stop is located right between the golf courses at Bixby Village. It does not have large signage and is independently owned. Parking: Free parking is available in the lot next to the restaurant. The lot is a bit uneven and bumpy in some areas. Service: The staff were very friendly to our group, especially when we walked in looking a bit confused because of the lack of signage outside. They explained the menu, gave recommendations, and made our food right away. We got to enjoy the nice patio view of the golf course, with the smell of patties searing on the grill wafting through the air. Food: Amazing! We tried three burgers as a combo: The Dirty, Bacon Jam, and Ortega. Each burger was cooked outside on their patio grill overlooking the golf course and came out super juicy and flavorful. The Bacon Jam was a fan favorite. The lettuce paired really well with the smash burger and sauces. We also tried the white bean chili and macaroni salad. While those were good, the burgers were definitely the main highlight. They also have excellent root beer on tap, poured into chilled glasses. Overall: I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want a burger that goes beyond typical fast food. It is a great spot with a nice view, quality food, and a very creative name.

It was a cool place right up, until the end. The person I'm assuming is the owner actually asked us to wait before placing our order because he was slammed. Understandable. So then, another guy took our order and also cooked the food. When we ordered, we didn't get any drinks, but he told us we could help ourselves to the fridge. I'm assuming because they were older, the soda can we had actually still had a Halloween ad on it and were in the month of December. We ended up not drinking anything but still had the can with us and when were ready to pay and leave. At checkout, the owner pointed out that we had a can. The guy ringing us up just stood there next to us without saying anything, so I tried to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the owner seemed to assume we were trying to steal and had already processed it, and he wasn't really listening as I was explaining what happened. The food itself was good, above average. I can see why they don't serve fries, since they'd probably take away from the burger experience. I recommend getting sliders so you can enjoy and separate the savory and sweet sauces. But it wasn't worth the price. Overall, not terrible, but that interaction left such a bad taste in my mouth that I won't be going back. I've never felt that embarrassed, especially with him not hearing me out and just clicking away on the tablet. Felt super inferior and stupid. And just a heads up, the tip defaults to 20% so be weary of that.

Crack Burger in Long Beach is the definition of a neighborhood gem, and after coming here 4 times now I can confidently say it's a consistent 5 star experience. A huge part of that is the owner Dave. Straight up stand up guy. He genuinely treats people with kindness and it shows every single visit. The first time I came with my girl he gave us root beer floats on the house. The second time he noticed my girl was cold and brought her a blanket plus hooked us up with some white bean chili also on the house. When I came with my dad Dave blessed us with a free brownies, and same thing when I came with my friend. That's not normal customer service anymore that's real hospitality. 10/10 on service every time and shoutout to Dave for always showing love to the people he's serving. The spot itself is super chill and laid back right on the golf course. You can eat inside but the patio is where it's at. Sitting outside watching the greens while you eat is such a vibe especially on a nice day. Now the food. You honestly can't go wrong with any burger here. I've had a few different ones and they've all been really good, it just depends on what you're in the mood for. Today I went with the Ortega and it hit the spot. I paired it with the potato salad and the white bean chili. Both were good, but that white bean chili is GREAT especially when it's cold out. Add a lager with it and it's the perfect afternoon meal. No complaints at all. If you haven't tried Crack Burger yet do yourself a favor and go. You'll leave happy and you'll probably be planning your next visit before you even finish your food.

Hi All,' The Hubbie and I tried another burger place from our Long Beach Burger Passport. Today, we went to Crack in Long Beach. It's located at the Bixby Village Golf Course. Those darn golfers always seem to keep the best burgers a secret. But, no more. The Hubs and I both had the recommended Bacon Jam Burger. OOO La La! The bacon jam had a hint of sweet, caramelized onions and bacon, with cheese and a generous slab of beefsteak tomato to make this burger complete. They cook it up for you on an outdoor BBQ on the deck overlooking the fairways. They close at 6pm on Sundays, so we were just in time for a picturesque sunset as we finished our meal. The service was fast and friendly. This is a perfectly no frills dining experience which golfers typically like. The only downside I can mention is that they do not offer french fries. Too bad because as I ate the Bacon Jam Burger, I couldn't help but imagine, steak fries covered in bacon jam, cheese and pico de gallo for "golfer's nachos." But that's just me. Talk about finding a hidden treasure inside the Bixby Estates. If you are looking for great food with a relaxing atmosphere that is dog friendly, and overlooking the golf club estates, then Crack burger is the spot. The owner David was the funniest, and helped guided us through his menu. He even went out of his way to make a few things that weren't on the menu for that day. We ended up getting the dirty and bacon jam burger, with crispy potato salad, pineapple coleslaw, and elote grilled corn on the cob with free banana pudding!!!! Delicious Food, Top tier Service with a relaxing atmosphere will definitely be my go to when I'm in the area.

In Long Beach for a festival and was a bit malnourished after day 1 so we were craving some hearty burgers. Did some quick research and found that Crack was one of the top burger choices. Arrived in the middle of the suburbs at a golf course to find a small burger shop inside. They have indoor and outdoors seating viewing the golf course and they grill on a flattop outside. Had to try their bacon jam since it was what they were known for and was not disappointed in the end. I also ordered a side of potato salad that was quite nice and refreshing to contrast the burger. The burger itself was very juicy, cooked perfectly, with a little bit of mayo at the bottom to prevent it from being too rich. I enjoyed the bacon jam, but found it a little too sweet for my tastes overall. All in all, it was an amazing burger, I think I would've preferred just a little less bacon jam or something spicy to cut into the sweetness.

Stop what you are doing right now and hop in your car to get the best burger in town! My husband was in the mood for a hamburger so he searched Yelp for the best burger in Long Beach and Crack was #1. Crack is located at a local golf course so it is casual and fun with a friendly owner that wants to make sure you have a great meal. The prices are great but the food is a hole in one!! My hubby had the Bacon Jam Burger ($11) which was awesome and I had the Ortega Pepper Burger with pepper jack cheese, tomato jam and chipotle sauce. They were both great, but I thought mine was better! We both had the cole slaw side ($2 each) and they even brought us a sample of the Chicken Chili ($8) which we loved and bought two pints to take home. So next time you are in Long Beach try out Crack as you can eat outside and enjoy the golf course and the breeze. read more

My husband and I found this cozy little restaurant on Yelp while on our way up the coast and decided to try it based on the reviews. It's located on a golf course and has plenty of adjacent parking. But you're not here for parking convenience, so let's get down to business and talk about this burger, baby! Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the staff and the owner who went over the menu, describing the food and making suggestions along the way. Super nice guy and his recs were highly appreciated! My husband isn't an onion lover and initially passed on the bacon jam because it had them in it but the owner was confident in his food (with good reason, turns out) and offered him a sample. One taste and he was sold. Dirty burgers all day! The quality and flavor rivals some of the more expensive ones I've had; pillowy-soft bun, gooey cheese, and a perfectly cooked patty with just the right amount of seasoning. But the bacon jam. THE BACON JAM! It was absolutely impeccable. We paired the burgs with an order of fries (also deliciously seasoned) and two icy cold root beers in frosty mugs. I believe dessert may have also been included or at least available, but we were stuffed at that point and had to politely decline. I recall more than one dessert choice and *think* one of them was a Cocoa Pebbles/Cocoa Puffs ice cream sandwich. The idea of that didn't immediately register with my brain but it hit me on the way out of the parking lot like a ton of bricks and I've thought about that darn ice cream sandwich ever since. Regret is a painful emotion. My husband and I traveled from San Diego to Sacramento and back over the course of 4 days and this was 100% the best thing we ate along the way. Fresh, delicious food with quality ingredients and a creative, foodie flair. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely be going back! read more

Crack is an appropriate name as Dave's food is addicting. His Bacon Jam Burger is his go to and is amazing. He makes killer breakfast burritos and a very tasty white bean chicken chili. Everything that I've had has been great! He's located at Bixby Village Golf Course, but he's not just open to the golfers. He's open nights now and there's a nice little patio on the balcony above the 3rd hole. There's a buzz around the neighborhood and the locals just walk over. Seroously, try the burger. Your taste buds and stomach will thank you! read more

If you enjoy checking out the local food scene, Crack has to be near the top of your list of places to check out. I swear I love the food here a little more each time I come. Once you try the burgers, talk to Dave and see what he can cook up for you. Just had a pork chop in the style of their Ortega burger and it was absolutely killer. Dave is putting out great food from the unassuming kitchen located on the Bixby Village Golf course; the perfect cure for the post-round munchies. Grab a drink, shoot the shit, and enjoy the food. I was really looking forward to trying the burgers. I had heard they were the best burgers in town. Unfortunately the guy who runs the place was extremely rude and didn't want our business. I had some "hangry " golfers, so we called from the 8th hole to put our order in. He said he was a one man show that day, and he was too busy to write down my order. No problem, I understand, so I drove over to place my order in person. When I arrived he told me again he was too busy to write down my order and I could have a seat and wait. I hesitated, not quite sure where to go, and he said "do you have a problem with that?" in a very aggressive tone. I said, maybe I'll come a different day, he said " yeah, that's a good idea". However I don't think I'll be returning, as the interaction felt very insulting. The burgers must be great considering the business still survives with such an unfriendly frontman. read more

This place has the best burgers! As a group we ate wings, deep friend shrimp, all the burger types (mine was the bacon jam burger), fries and the white chili sides. Everyone enjoyed their meal with some brews. The red hoppy was my fave in the frosted glasses. We sat on the balcony with a view of the golf course. Dave and team provided great service. Searching for burger joint while visiting the area and came across this gem. Didn't expect it to be at a golf course, however I was greeted warmly and promptly enjoyed one of the best burgers anywhere. I will definitely return. The side dishes (white bean chili & Mac salad) were also on point and worth exploring more. read more

Best tasting burger in the area! No take out but I have never been able to finish an entire burger and eating it later - it's just so good! Check the hours-days! Dave is the best! What a hidden gem! Enjoyed a delicious 'dirty' burger which the owner said they are most known for and it did not disappoint. Juicy, delicious, smash burger. The sides rotate and I picked the orzo salad and it was sooo good! They also gave me a taste of the corn salad which was also delicious! Very low key and casual but absolutely worth a trip! read more

I've been wanting to try the burgers here ever since I moved to Long Beach, and they did not disappoint! I loved the Bacon Jam burger, it definitely lived up to the hype. The potato salad was one of the best I've ever had as well! The customer service was great -- they kindly stayed open for us since we were on our way, even though it was Easter Sunday! Lastly, I love the relaxed ambiance sitting outside on the patio. Can't wait to come back and bring friends! read more

Great experience! The burgers are exceptional! But it's not even that! The wine is delicious (Sauv Blanc).The beer is served ice cold. The sides are amazing and then ending with the complimentary dessert. Who does that!? So cool I had a little root beer float that was mind-blowing and then Dave brought over some pineapple homemade cookies that were so scrumptious! Definitely heading back here for another many rounds! read more

I've been reluctant to say anything about Crack for fear that it will become a victim of it's own success. But what the hell, I also fear that it won't survive if nobody knows about it so rave I must. Crack is basically a tiny food shop on a tiny golf course. It's small funky and just my kind of place. Order anything on the chalkboard menu and I double dog dare you not to like it. read more

Came in late and had the dirty burger and man it HIT THE SPOT. It was salty and juicy and just excellent. Dave also served up some fish and steak samples and we rapped about business and food and it was overall a chill experience with a great host. Would def recommend coming to CRACK. read more

You can't beat Root Beer on draft in an ice-lined glass (and root beer floats)! Fantastic burgers grilled outside. The bacon jam burger is simply delicious! Ortega burger with chipotle spread was juicy, tasty, and cooked to perfection! White bean chicken chili is light and well seasoned. Great atmosphere with a view of the golf course. 5 Stars for sure. read more

Wow! What a gem of a place! Owner was amazing and let us sample all kinds of new foods he was trying out for the menu. Was personable with everyone, the kind of place where you feel at home . It's got a canvas awning and heater if necessary! I also has 5 tables for seating for 4! Plus stools at the fencing that looks out to the Golf Greens! The tables can be moved together for larger parties!

I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

Food is out of this world, fresh and tasty! It's been many many years since I've walked into a place and the owner has greeted me at the menu and walked me through the whole menu. This is what Dave did @Crack , I told him to just hook me up. He gave me the bacon jam burger, and the Dirty Bird we had the Elote corn and the IPA in his amazing beer mugs that are insulated. My mom and I both ordered them from Host Dave should get a kickback from that @Host . We also had the White Bean Chili and the Red Cabbage Salad that was amazing good crunch everything freshly made so don't expect it to come out super fast just sit back and enjoy that Ice Cold IPA . Dave has definitely got it going on over here so glad I finally came. My mom has been begging me to come here for over a year, little did I know about Dave over here serving up the Homemade Crack ! This is a crappy response from a crappy person. I want to address a few things, you messaged me directly insisting that I did not go to your restaurant. Not only did I respond to your rude message. I responded 15 minutes later at 9 PM. If you simply said something along the lines of we have bad days, I'm stressed out, I just wasn't feeling it etc. I wouldn't have cared to respond whether it was said in private or public. But you didn't do that you went out of your way to double down on the if I talk that way I'd be out of business. Well, you insulted me, directly once in private messages and a second time on your page seems to be a trend, but what do I know? Let me hip you to this. Best cheeseburger I've ever had. It's the next big thing. From my understanding, the bun, meat, and cheese are all phenomenal, but the bacon jam is the best. I wish I was kidding. Easier said then done, they also have some killer lemonade. Don't look at me. Your order comes with a great chili appetizer (super famous) and a vanilla ice cream (super legit) with caramel syrup. Yeah man, yeah. More expensive than in-n-out, but tastes better. That's a thing. It's worth the cost. This is for free people. It's usually not crowded and has a nice patio view of the golf course. That. Parking is free. You would know. Crack Burgers changed my life because I wasn't a smash burger fan. But now I am and I'm telling you, you've gotta try this spot. MUST ORDERS 1. The Ortega Burger (bacon jam) 2. The Dirty Girl (bacon jam) The bacon jam is DELICIOUS and the name says it all. 3. Potato Salad (the best I've ever had) 4. Apple Pie BBQ Baked Beans (I won't give away his secret) 5. White Bean Chili (another reason I went back) 6. Red Lager served in a chilled mug so it stays cold. There's no take out because Dave wants you to eat his food while it's hot and I get it. It was thanks to Yelp that we found this secret gem! This is the place to go if you like smash burgers! The owner was so cool that you felt like you were having a BBQ in your own backyard. We decided to sit on the patio because it was cool and had some shade. We got the salad with our Smashburger. We tried some of his white bean soup, and it was delicious. And to top it all off, a free small root beer float with vanilla bean ice cream. I can't believe there wasn't a line out the door because everything was so great. Dave at Crack Burger lives up to the hype. The burgers are excellent, but so are the special menu items he comes up with. Dave and his team handled dinner for our son's 6th birthday at Bixby Village Golf Course and made the whole thing seamless. He built a menu that was both kid-friendly and high quality, and somehow got about 25 people fed in under 45 minutes so we could stay on schedule. The team was organized, efficient, and easy to work with. The kids had a blast, and everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend for both the food and the experience. read more

If I could give ten stars, I would! All of his food is great. I am a sides girl, and all the unique sides he makes blow me away every time. If you like root beer, you will love the root beer on draft. He puts them in a chilled cup that gets so cold it turns the root beer in to a slushee. The service is great. He is really down to earth, asks his guests their opinions and really talks to you like a friend. And who can pass up a nice golf course view on the deck as a nice ambiance. read more

Good 5 star run with 261 reviews don't know if Yelp settings if I can go back to 5 stars . With all the positive reviews I've had that Yelp has taken down thru their automated systems..alot of my business from Yelp is people searching and coming in just because I'm 5 stars without even reading the reviews they go off pictures. Or if they do read they come in on my response from the negative reviewers the people leave me so it's a win-win read more

when we get to crack it's like my wife is on a mission to be known as the baddest pound for pound eater in the LBC. at a mere 130 lbs and able to put away 2 bacon jams and 2 sides, she is doing pretty well if you ask me. she has no desire to eat this much at any other restaurant, but at crack, she just can't stop- certified crackhead. read more

Amazing burgers and every single side we tried was delicious (Buffalo chicken macaroni salad, white bean chili, cabbage slaw!). The bacon jam and dirty burgers were our favorite with so much flavor.
