The atmosphere was great for my family. We enjoyed the music and the outdoor patio seating. The service was a little slow but we didn't mind it as much. Our orders came out correctly, but the food was just average. The balsamic pesto caprese had stale chips served with it, and the onion rings taste frozen. The fries were better, and the pulled pork sandwich had good flavors. The flavors are good and the plating is nice but nothing outstanding. The food here was REALLY good! They had some items on the menu you wont find at most breakfast places, but I was not adventurous enough to try them. Parking is hard... and they state they are handicap accessible but you had to walk up a few steps to get inside, and an employee parked on the street right in front of the restaurant which left one less spot. This spot had been on my list for a while, and I'm glad I finally checked it out. It gets pretty packed, and since it's a small, home-style building, there can be a bit of a wait. Luckily, my partner and I are early birds ...we arrived right before the crowd and only waited a few minutes. I ordered the veggie omelet and added bacon. It was large, filling, and full of flavor. The sourdough was perfect. The potatoes were good, though not the best I've had. Customer service was fast and friendly, which made the experience even better. My only real complaint was the seating. We were placed at a corner table next to another party, and they ended up pushing their table into ours, so we had to share space. I know some places do this, but it seemed like it only happened to us. I prefer having my own space, so being that close, hearing their conversation and trying to be mindful of theirs space was a bit of a downer. My partner ordered the banana pancakes, which come as three large stacks, and wow, they were delicious. He also got the traditional breakfast plate, and the sausage links were amazing (Italian-style, which I really enjoyed). Overall, we had a great experience and definitely plan to return. I come here often and every time I do, it's tasty. The servers are very nice. However, it gets a little slow when they're busy, but that's to be expected. I really look forward to the hazelnut latte, but the hazelnut coffee is also fantastic. It's a chill little place and the only real downside is that there is one bathroom for the tire restaurant. read more

Amazing food, amazing service. Just happened to stumble by and came as a walk in of 2 at 11:00/11:30ish on a Friday and got seated right away. Will 100% be back. I got a spicy Bloody Mary (our waitress asked if I wanted blue cheese and bacon) which of course I said yes to. AMAZING. I also got the Gorgonzola bacon burger that was cooked a perfect med (as asked) and my boyfriend got the chicken fried steak with this gravy that reminded me of my late grandmas recipe. It looked like there were a lot of people waiting but when we found a parking spot (street parking only everyone, so be advised it might take some time to find a parking spot) the wait time was actually only 10-15 min. There are some tables outside for dining but we were seated inside. Although a little snuck it is still walkable. But also keep in mind if you are a voluptuous person such as myself, it will be a bit tight unless you sit outside. The owner was hustling, making sure everyone was taken care of, taking out orders and seating people. He was really friendly and the servers and hostess was amazing too. Now what you came here for, the freakin food. Was it as great as I remember you ask? Yes, yes it was. I ordered the steak and eggs special, and my dad and sister had the corned beef and hash. Very gourmet said my father. I really enjoyed my steak, very well seasoned and cooked perfectly medium. The price was not bad either. It was $100ish for 3 specialty coffees, 3 entres and a kids meal. I visited the Crooked Duck on a Friday. Their parking is mostly street parking and unfortunately for me, Fridays is their street sweeping days. I had to park a short distance away. The host greeted me and sat me down fairly quickly. I ordered a classic two egg breakfast and subbed my toast for biscuits and gravy. I also got a glass of orange juice which was filled to the brim (we love that). Decent breakfast. Have not been here in years! Wanted some Mimosas and some good old fashion breakfast. Went to this location on a Friday morning. It was busy but was still able to get seated within 10 mins. Greeted and seated was prompt! Ordered a bottle of Mimosa, omelette and country fried steak breakfast plate. Received my food within 10 mins. Service was fast! Long story short, we had a good time. We were treated nicely and the food was good. This place is compact, reminds me of a house. Limited to indoor seating with optional outdoors. The two things that stands out to be a negative but did not influence my decision on rating this place 5 stars. THe parking and restroom. Parking is very difficult. Thankfully the crooked duck is right across the street from my job. My boss and I came here during lunchtime for my yearly work conference. ( no pressure right??) lol. So you can probably imagine I wasn't super hungry but still wanted a delicious meal. We were sat down right away and decided to sit in the back outside patio. The overeasy yoke breaks perfectly over the hash and is the perfect portion size. This spot is a walking distance from our apt so we definitely enjoyed the experience and the food they serve. It looks like a small place but there's plenty of seating in another section. Its got a lot of photos and pieces involving water skiing so I'm assuming the owner is a big fan. The food was really good as I chose the Chicken Fried Steak meal with scramble eggs and country potatoes. The steak was good and the gravy was nice and smooth. My girlfriend kept it simple and had a delicious waffle and sausage and eggs on the side. I was quite impressed by the quality of the food and the help was great. If I could give you 0 stars I would..... Been going to The Crooked Duck for 9yrs. I absolutely (Loved) this place. I went there with my husband many many many times before bringing my best friend making this a regular spot to eat an amazing breakfast.... I then started to bring other people. That's how much I truly enjoyed this place. I decided to take my mom two days ago here to The Crooked Duck. She had never been and it is beyond rare we get to go out to breakfast. I was beyond embarrassed by the service and the food. My heart sank and I shuttered when our food arrive. Random cold potatoes on a platter the server told us not to touch because it was scalding hot. What??? Why??? That had never been a thing! She stated it was to crisp the cheese on top. Why??? That is NOT a norm!!!! We take our fork and flip the clearly dry as a bone omelette open to see the most burnt dry omelette I have ever seen. Inside NO cheese!!!! The chef apparently, as stated by the owner tried to cover the burnt top with cheese. Something that is not the norm. Cheese is to be inside. But inside there was (tiny tiny tiny chopped bits) 4-6 pieces of zucchini and 3-4 pieces of bell peppers, and maybe 5 pieces of onions.... Nothing else. Where was all the veggies in a VEGGIE omelette. It was soooooo embarrassing because I had talked about this place for hours to my Mom prior. This is an omelette listed for $16+ which we ordered and then last minute they charge you extra... 50¢ an egg. So, $1.50 on omelettes. They do it to egg dishes yet not to the pancakes and French toast... so are they not made with eggs? The owner comes up to the table after offering to let us know that tariffs and the bird flu makes him up the charges. Yet it's nowhere on the menu indicating it. Only after you have sat for 10min going over the menu then ordering. Yet.... At stores the egg shortage have been lifted all over the South Bay. So, an almost 20$ after tax omelette with no veggie and 90% no cheese other than the 2"x2" of burnt cheese on top to hide the burned dry omelette... yet some how cold. What perplexes us.... How did you get a omelette to our table in 2min. Why because we believe it was premade and tossed in a skillet into the oven. Then slapped cheese to hide the burnt top. I wouldn't feed my dog this food. I'm so so very saddened by the quality, the service, and the establishment for cutting corners. If you're able to fit at a table on your laptop.... Then you should be in the kitchen as the owner overlooking your patrons dishes coming out. I would be embarrassed. Last, Next time... do not follow the customers out to their car and put your hands on their vehicle as you apologize and reiterate everything we assumed holding our door open as I'm starting my car not allowing my mom to shut her door!!!!!! I did not appreciate it at all. You made us feel so uncomfortable and my mom shouldn't have had to call you back and schooled you on tariffs!!! That if you buy in the US it doesn't affect you... so, as you said your egg location is in the US and we would assume all the rest of your produce has to be US purchased as well. So everything in the end... start your finish was horrific. You lost my family of 4, my mom, my brother and his family of 4, my best friend and her family of 5, and my grandpa's step son and his wife... along with my mom. We will not return ever again. In the passenger seat cruising down PCH, The Crooked Duck caught my attention because it's name made me giggle, so, we decided to pull over and order take out. Parking is a bit tricky here, it sits on a corner of PCH and a diagonal neighborhood street. There are only 3 spots in a tiny lot on the side but otherwise look to park on the street. Order: The Crooked Duck Omelet - duck chili (black beans, bacon, 5-spice duck), melted jack cheese, served with breakfast potatoes & toast. This omelet was gently cooked, enough for me to share, included a lot of breakfast potatoes (which I appreciated, we were hungry!) and the shredded duck meat inside was seasoned well but just a tad dry; still very good. Lots of beans and cheese inside made for a filling late breakfast that kept us full for a few hours.
