I grew up with a Cracker Barrel in my town. Then I moved away to a State that has none. Haven't been to one of these for at least 15-20 years, so, understandably, was very excited to eat here again after so many years. I don't know if my tastes have changed or if they have changed their formulas and recipes, but i was so disappointed. It was so busy, so my expectations were high. Ordered the chicken fried steak. It was quite bland. The gravy had a strange thick, almost gelatinous texture and the biscuits were dry and tasteless. It took a lot of salt an pepper and tabasco to flavor it up. We love the Cracker Barrel. We really do. It's one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, this was not one of our best visits. In fact, I would say it wasn't a very good visit at all. The question the review bot asked is what could improve. Food, service, ambience. Both the food and the service could've been better. Four of us went to this Cracker Barrel on a beautiful Sunday morning to enjoy a lovely brunch with friends. Two of the four of us got what we ordered and unfortunately, it seemed like the server messed up the other two orders. The two of us who did get our correct orders practically completed our entire meals before the meals were served for the other two people had their incorrect orders replaced. No apologies other than oops I'm sorry.. no compensation for ruining the meal. Now onto the food. I added on the soup and salad. They only had one soup. I asked them what the soup of the day was and they said they didn't have one. It's on the menu, but they didn't have one. whatever. I got the one and only soup they had which was canned chicken noodle. My soup was cold. Not cool but cold. As if I had never been heated. I guess they forgot to put their prepared soup in the microwave before serving it. The salad was ok but had lettuce core in it. Went for a Sunday brunch with the family. I've never been so I was so enthralled by the store with all of the adorable items! I need to come back for salt & pepper sets for ALL the occasions. Food was what you expect from Cracker Barrel, if you've eaten here you know what things to expect. Clean tables, hot food and good service. This location is pretty new, and the only complaint I have is how crammed in all the tables are. Hard any room to slide by, neighbors tables bump up to chairs behind you. Our Server Matt was personable and accommodating, we explained the pay by app we used at the end of our meal did not let us give him a tip in the app. So we did leave a cash tip instead but what if we hadn't had cash? This location has Tesla destination chargers out back, however they also have adapter for other ev's and it was not intuitive enough for us to do it prior to having our coffee, when we came back out to get the car we figured out how to leave the other charger in the unit to just get the Tesla one to work. Maybe next time we will charge while we eat and browse. As with all Cracker Barrels this has a store and I love all the fun things about them. This new location is a diamond yet to be discovered as it is a new addition to the chain of Cracker Barrel restaurants near Denver International airport. Tons of parking and well lit.We were warmly greeted. Before going in, I felt like I was in a winter wonderland with all the fun displays of Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. What fun being a buyer here. You could do your holiday shopping here as the displays were well stocked and everything was very well organized. Our waitress Katlyn was super friendly and helpful and kept our glasses full, brought us corn muffins and very cheerful. She provided us with excellent service. If you come here, you cannot be on a diet. The fried chicken was done to crunchy perfection, not burnt, not dry. The fried chicken was served on top of the buttermilk biscuits and drizzled with honey. The dinner comes with a salad, entree and 2 sides. As much as I wanted to eat the whole thing (over 2000 calories) I need a to go box. The ambience was fine, again not crowded on a Sunday night. I was happy to learn that a new Cracker Barrel had been built right outside the Denver metro area. This Cracker Barrel is now my go-to location. As with all Cracker Barrels, the service can be slow at times, even when the dining room is mostly empty. However, this Cracker Barrel seems to have above-average service. I've waited as little as 10 minutes for my food. As for the food itself, it's just standard Cracker Barrel fare. There have been a couple times, nevertheless, where I've been given larger than normal portions of dumplings. Overall, this Cracker Barrel is definitely worth a visit if you're in the region. read more

We were greeted outside then checked in at the hostess stand & seated right away. Service was fantastic. We got menus & our drinks quickly. In fact, our Server brought soda refills without us even asking, which was great. I had the Old Timer's Breakfast - two eggs & choice of breakfast meat, (I had bacon). This came with biscuits & gravy but I substituted sourdough toast & had a choice of one classic side for $13.99. I had the Hashbrown Casserole as my side. There are many classic sides to choose from, Sliced Tomatoes, Coarse Ground Grits & Fried Cinnamon Apples, for no additional charge. For an extra charge you can choose a Loaded Hashbrown Casserole, Fresh Fruit, Two buttermilk Pancakes or Plain Hashbrowns. My breakfast was good, the eggs & bacon were cooked perfectly. The Hashbrown Casserole was delicious & cheesy, however the portion was on the smaller size. Be sure to stop by their old-fashioned Country Store at the entrance, it's filled with unique nostalgic merchandise. I have sensory issues and being surprised with such a bitter beverage was quite the shock. Plz sweeten or calm the lemonade down a little before you serve it. And I wouldn't have had to even order it if you guys would just bring back the frozen cider!!!!! Bring it back. Anyway, 2. Our server didn't check up on us enough. ...Only brought one plate out of 4. It was my first time at a Cracker Barrel and as I had heard people rave about the biscuits. I was pretty jazzed. The service was very prompt and friendly but the food was pretty low quality. We had the steak and chicken combo meal. While the steak had a decent flavor, it was half gristle. The chicken was fine but mainly batter and very little chicken. My friend had another chicken dish and it was literally inedible. Her knife and fork just would not go through the meat. It ended up in the trash. We tried the Smore's brownie for dessert which was OK. Overall not a great experience and good service is not enough to bring us back. read more

The Cracker Barrel just recently opened up in Central Park and decided to try it since it's been years since I've been to one. The restaurant is fully staffed and all the employees are very friendly and greeted you with a smile. Our waitress gave her suggestions on appetizers and when we had questions on a few items she steered us to what she thought was a better option. I wish I recalled her name because she did an outstanding job. Food : we started with the fried pickles which came with a buttermilk ranch dipping sauce. The pickles were good and came out hot. I would order them again, but the onion pedals and cheese curds are next on my to get list. I got the sampler two entree meatloaf and chickens and dumpling. My sides were mac & cheese and broccoli. The mac & cheese is very creamy and good, but the broccoli was a little bit cold. My only complaint. My husband got the Tuesday special with loaded mashed potatoes and corn. He said the food was good, but he does prefer the breakfast over any other meal at this restaurant. Overall I will give Cracker Barrel 4 stars. This location just opened and it's got the most variety of country/general store that I've seen from the other Cracker Barrel stores, it was really neat to walk around. We put our name on the waiting list online and we were able to get seated right away when we got there even though there were a lot of people. Our server Matt was awesome, he was very nice and attentive in making sure we were good. I ordered the French toast hash with pancakes. The pancakes were is fluffy as usual. No bean has French toast were delicious. The sausage was a little overcooked, but still OK. I also got some orange juice and they put it in a nice tall glass so it's a good amount of OJ. My husband and I were excited for a closer Cracker Barrel to the Denver area! We got to check it out during opening week! I will say it was busy with about a 50 minute wait on a Sunday for a party of five. If you don't want to wait that long maybe visit after the first few weeks after opening. The restaurant was I feel like is still working it's kinks out for instance I always order mamas breakfast and replace the meat(bacon/sausage) with fried apples for no charge but they said that was not possible and I would have to add it on and pay extra for it. Also the biscuits and cornbread was always complimentary but we were charged for it which was fine but just felt like things aren't consistent with other locations. I came after work on Thursday. This location is a bit smaller than the one in Northglenn that I visited in 2019. The retail store still has a interesting mix of items and food. I went to check-in station and noticed they asked if I wanted a breakfast menu in addition to the other menus. I said no. Along with the menus was a brown silverware bag (holding a fork & knife) and 1 napkin. I was seated near the entrance. The bench seat was comfortable and the table had salt & pepper dispensers +their Peg game board. The menu is quite large. My server, Alisia M promptly arrived and came back several more times as I checked the menu. Obviously, they expect you'll make your selections quickly. But my delay did not seem to cause any stress. I got a large unsweetened iced tea, with free refills. You can get sweet tea. I started with a house salad with ranch dressing. The salad was standard with iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, ham despite bacon being indicated and shredded cheddar cheese, all topped with croutons. My entree was their Lemon Pepper Grilled Trout served with lemon wedges, baby carrots and turnip greens with pork. The trout and veggies were excellent. I asked for 1 biscuit & 1 cornbread. I got a basket with salted butter, 2 biscuits and Dickinson's Strawberry Preserves. When Alisia came back, I asked about the cornbread. She came back with another basket with 2 biscuits & 1 cornbread. The biscuits were hot and the cornbread was dry and almost too crunchy to slice open to insert butter. As I was finishing, Alisia dropped off the ticket with no mention of dessert. After getting my third iced tea, I told Alisia I wanted the Peach Cobbler. While that was being prepared, I went to the check-in station and asked for a napkin. They carefully gave me 1 napkin. How weird. Alisia kept coming back (the 8th time) saying the dessert was still being prepared. When it arrived, it was not a cobbler. Just cling peach slices in a sugar syrup with a flat rectangular cookie and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. No silverware!! Alisia came back again and I asked if anything was missing. When I asked for a spoon, she looked confused. She brought another silverware bag with just a spoon. I noticed their takeout containers were clear plastic clamshells, not compostable. I attempted to join their rewards program but the QR code kept going to same screen and would never send the email verification code. I mentioned this to the checkout cashier. She signed me up quickly. I learned that tips are not shared and go to the server only. No extra service charge. read more

Ask for Hannah,M., as she provides fantastic service and is pleasant. The parking lot seems small but there is ample surrounding street parking. Server was checked out completely, he was like a robot. We sat outside on the patio and the tables were coated in dirt. I understand it's outside but they could have wiped it down. The gravy and mashed potatoes tasted like nothing. Husband's Chicken fried chicken tasted like nothing. My burger was overcooked and chewy. The most flavorful thing at our table were my fries. As a small business owner, I understand how important good customer service is, so I wanted to share my experience at the new Cracker Barrel in Denver. We visited with a large party of about 14 people around 2 p.m. just two weeks after opening. While the food was decent, the service was quite slow and a bit disorganized. We had to ask multiple times for refills, and I never received the Tabasco sauce I requested for my eggs. Due to their current POS system, each person in our party received a separate check, which made splitting the bill a bit cumbersome. From what we were told, the entire staff is new to Cracker Barrel and there are no veteran employees on site yet. I completely understand that a new restaurant is still finding its footing, and I appreciate the effort the team is putting in. With continued training and experience, I believe the service will improve significantly. Overall, I see potential here and look forward to returning in the future to see how they grow and improve. I hope they continue to refine their service so that future visits are smoother and more enjoyable for everyone. read more

Came back to give it another try and the server literally sat down at our table while he had a full section and just wanted to chat about how he would get yelled at for sitting with us. I understand that this is a fairly new location.. BUT it took our server 30 mins to even greet us, and took just about as long to finally receive our food. The server seemed to go missing a lot and said he had to "use the bathroom".. When we finally got our food, we noticed some hairs in one of our meals so we reported it and the manager came to us and apologized and said he would get us a new meal to go since we had to get going. It took ANOTHER 25-30 minutes for our server to come back empty handed and tell us to "have a good day".. I then asked, "what about our meal replacement? The manager said he was prepping a meal to go for us since we found a hair in the meal." The server then went to check on it and came back within minutes, the fastest he had ever gotten to us by the way, just to give us the same exact meal put into a to-go box. WITH THE HAIR STILL IN IT. I want to give this place another chance, but right now, I just don't know. My recommendation is to wait a few weeks. Once they have a solid staff and they figure out what they're doing, I'm sure it'll be great.
