Staff is super friendly and the food came fast. Always a pleasure to eat here. A family friendly environment.

The place was packed on an early Friday before lunch. Our waitress was wonderful. She checked on us several times. She kept our $3.49 glass of tea filled. The food was fresh.

Cracker Barrel in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Haddock with corn, fried okra, turnip greens, and corn muffins.

Our first time having dinner at Cracker Barrel. This particular restaurant is in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I had the Haddock with sides of corn, fried okra, turnip greens and corn muffins. It was terrific! I was really surprised at how good it was. My wife had the fried shrimp with mashed potatoes, hush puppies, steak fries, and fresh fruit. She also said how good her meal was. We are on the road right now passing through while on vacation, but we will definitely stop in again for dinner at our local CB when we get home. I really want to try the fried chicken. Somebody else was having it at the next table and it looked wonderful.

I raised Cracker Barrel up from a two star to a three star, because the taste of my food was very very delicious. Cracker Barrel sent me a gift card for one free meal so my husband myself and my daughter went there last night for dinner. I ordered the fried chicken with a side of fried okra, and Dumplings. My husband and daughter both ordered the special they have right now with the turkey tenderloins fried. They both ordered fried okra but my daughter ordered mac & cheese my husband ordered potatoes mashed. As far as my meal went, it was very very good. My husband's mashed potatoes looked like they were made early in the morning and had been sitting on the plate for a while. They were one big clump and there was just a sprinkling of gravy and he said more gravy on the Turkey would've been great but all in all, they said it tasted very good. I told them they probably don't put a lot of gravy because I'm sure people complain about the gravy. Now let's get to the service. It wasn't busy when we came in. There was maybe eight people in the whole place. It was around 3 PM. We were seated in the middle of the dining room and I wasn't comfortable so I asked if we could move to a table by the window-which we did. Once seated there, a girl came over to take our drink order she asked are we were also ready to order our food? We said yes so we ordered our food too. then she went over to another table and they complained, which we heard , that they were before us, and she took our order and not theirs so she took their order then too. She came back with drinks for both tables, and in the meantime, they sat another table of two men a couple rows away from us. Then another waitress walked over to our table and asked if we knew what we wanted and we told her we just ordered and we were waiting for our drinks. Then the first waitress came out with food for the table that complained and food for the two guys and said to us that they were frying our okra. So all in all by the from the time we got there till the time we got our food was about a half hour, but at least we had drinks! What I dislike about this restaurant is for not being busy. We shouldn't have waited a half hour for food, but it was all hot, except for my husband's mashed potatoes. Also, they come over and slap the receipt down on the table and say no hurry and then I didn't see the waitress again so I had to call her over because I needed a box. When she came back with the box, she started clearing our table and she actually took my husbands drink, which he wasn't finished with, and threw it into the bucket which is the dirty dishes. I said to her you just took my husbands drink. He wasn't done with it and she apologized and offered to go get him another one but he said, don't worry about it. . I also feel they need a little bit more room. When you check out we had to wait about 20 minutes they had one woman on and about 8 people paying for their food, picking up food and buying stuff from the store. Truth be told because we were waiting so long my daughter found things she just had to have so I ended up spending a lot more than I wanted to. Another cashier finally walked up to help. All in all, I would have to say that we probably would never go there to eat breakfast or dinner again. Which is too bad because I really like their pancakes. I think this restaurant needs more staff and maybe better training of the wait staff? And as far as the food being good, it was, but you would expect from a chain restaurant. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought biscuits were supposed to be nice and thick. I remember them being like that, but these were small little disc with no rise to them.

We were tourists in the area and wanted to try Cracker Barrel. Plenty of parking in the lot. We opened the door and we thought we were at the wrong place because it looked like a gift shop. We actually had to walk all the way in to get to the restaurant. There are plenty of good options on the menu, from chicken, beef, fish, and lots of options for sides. While waiting for our food, there is a pegs game to keep me occupied. I ordered fish and it was delicious. My parents enjoyed their beef dishes. Excellent service amd excellent food. I was impressed. I wish Cracker Barrel was closer to where I live.

We were on a time crunch and no one came to our table for at least 7 min. They never answer the phone for to go and the app doesn't work at all. It's a kind of place you only have to go back to because there's no other options.

We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks while studying the really excellent menu. Instead of rolls, a cast iron skillet containing "Fire Bread" was delivered to our table. It was delicious and was quickly devoured while waiting for our dinners. My wife ordered the Montana fried chicken salad and I opted for the chicken pot pie. While the salad was nothing out of the ordinary (except the chicken was quite good) she thoroughly enjoyed it. My chicken pot pie was really good and it contained lots of large chunks of chicken. Many places that serve this dish think all you have to do is put some pastry puff over the chicken and you have chicken pot pie. NOT! At Montana Grill, this dish was prepared like I would make it at home-a complete crust which does a great job sopping up the chicken and vegetables. The portion was huge and had I not been traveling, I would have taken some home. This dish was also served in a cast iron skillet. Service was excellent and appreciated after driving nearly 9 hours. We waited for nothing. Very happy to have been reintroduced to Montana Grill.

We started out with a round of appetizers, including the dog bowl nachos and the fried pickles (which were some of the better fried pickles I've had, and I liked the dipping sauce). The spinach and artichoke dip was pretty good too. I had the Thai Pasta Salad with added grilled shrimp as my entrée. I can't say I've seen pasta salad on many menus, especially as an entrée. It was interesting but I felt like it was super salty, and the same with the added shrimp. I didn't have anything to drink, but the happy hour drink prices are pretty good and they have specialty cocktails. My coworkers and I agreed that we felt like the food was too salty and heavy, and that was our biggest gripe. I'd still come back to drink or watch a game on the many TVs here.
