3 entree combo - meatloaf, fried Chicken, chicken dumplings. With side s of hash brown casserole and spiced apples.

I haven't been to Cracker Barrel in a long heartbeat but had a really good meal. I got the 3 entree combo with 2 sides & it was a HUGE helping. I brought almost half of it home.

BYO Breakfast Platter - not a good meal, not a good deal

I have almost always enjoyed the food at Cracker Barrel, especially when traveling because the food was consistently good and reasonable priced. Granted, I've not eaten at CB in 7 or 8 years, and they obviously have been struggling financially the last few years, joining Red Lobster, Applebee's , and a number more. I came here for a late breakfast, and chose the BYO platter for $10.19. My platter consisted of soft scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits, and grits. It was not very busy, and my order was taken in good time, but the time for the order to come out of the kitchen was on the slow side. The food was average at best - the eggs were not soft scrambled, the bacon was not freshly cooked, and the hash browns were limp. Not a good meal, not what I'd had in the past! There is better food, at a better price, at Clemmons Kitchen. Ambiance - 3 Food - 2 Service - 2.5 Value - 2

Cracker Barrel is well known by the RV community for their hospitality towards us - they tolerate overnight parking in their lots and all that they ask in return is that we consider making a purchase. I'm usually arriving too late or departing too early but this visit was the exception. We had breakfast this morning! A warm welcome from the hostess after we did some browsing in the store and then we were seated immediately. A friendly waitress took our order and a few minutes later, returned with coffee. A refill of our cups later and breakfast arrived. French toast for Mrs. K. and eggs with bacon for me. Delicious, cooked properly and plenty of it. The biscuits were just the right fluffy, chewy and a bit of salt to go with the little pot of blackberry preserves. Yum! Thanks, CB. I still owe you for a bunch of overnights, but this was a great one. Park at the far corner of the lot and it was very quiet. [Review 1112 of 2024 - 3610 in North Carolina - 22138 overall]

Overall I think that Cracker Barrel may be coming to the end of the line the same way that places like Red Lobster and Applebees are going. It is the same that is has been for at least the past 25 years that I walked into one. Don't get me wrong, it is a decent breakfast, but if I were to go to one more than just "once in a while" I would be tired and done. I got the Mama's breakfast with pancakes, two eggs, and four slices of bacon for $9.99 at the current price. To me if you mess up breakfast you shouldn't be in business serving it. It was okay, not great.

Food has always impressed me. Been coming to this location to eat since I've been a kid. All day breakfast, lunch specials, daily specials and seasonal features so there's plenty of variety to pick from. They handle large tables well and service is just as great for a table of two as it is for a table of six or more. Food comes out fast and is hot and tasty. Some of my favorite items are the meatloaf, peppered catfish and Friday fish fry. Also can't beat their sourdough bread!

First time at a Cracker Barrel here in NC. I went to one in CA that was depressing and not good. This one redeemed it for me. The breakfast was delicious. I got the pancake special with two over easy eggs and bacon. The pancakes had a great batter with a delicious buttery crisp on the edges that I love. The bacon was just perfect. I got a side of biscuits as well and the side of beignets. Beignets were wonderful especially with hot coffee. The service was friendly and they had the fireplace going which was a nice cozy touch. Will definitely come back for a nice big breakfast again.

We had a small wait to be seated. They called our name over a speaker when our table was ready. We were seated and greeted. Server informed us they had no white fish or southern chicken. Immediately the party needed to review the menu for alternative options. The table but me order breakfast. Actually they ordered the same thing with different options of sides. The order came with eggs, hash browns bacon, sausage, ham with either pancakes or French toast. I ordered the catfish grilled with two sides. I got the salad and the greens. Sent the greens back to replace with steam broccoli. Prices are affordable great review for a breakfast spot. Family friendly.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had recently. We were seated right away, but weren't greeted by a waiter for close to 15 mins. By the time he arrived, he didn't ask to take our drink orders, he just took our entire order because of how long we'd been waiting. I would say the food took another 20 mins to come out, and sadly more of it was incorrect than correct. I had ordered the homestyle chicken sandwich with fries - but I got fried chicken pieces on a plate with fries instead. My husband had ordered three sides and received two. My mom's order was correct - but cold. Our waiter was nowhere to be found anytime we needed him. We sat with empty drinks for majority of our dinner. The manager walked by and asked how everything was, so we told her and she put in new orders for us. It was another 10 or so minutes to get my correct order, and the chicken sandwich was really good when it did come out. However, it came out alone and I had to wait some more for the fries. Overall, it was very discombobulated and not a super enjoyable dinner.

We arrived later in the evening and there didn't appear to be a lot of people. We were seated immediately but it took nearly 20 minutes before our waiter came over. He got our drink orders, a simple water for all, and that took another 15 minutes. We ordered food once drinks arrived. The grilled catfish I got was extremely small and quite pathetic. The fries were soft and unseasoned. The Cole slaw was not good, I didn't even finish it. I'm not one to let Cole slaw go to waste but it had a weird taste to it. My water was gone before we ordered food and was never refilled. The order of one of my guests was completely wrong and had to be remade. It did not come out again until myself and other guest were already finished with our meals. Only giving it three stars because of the gift shop and the fact that it's not outrageously priced like most places now. Won't be back

It was Thanksgiving morning and my wife and I were heading out on a Thanksgiving weekend road trip. We decided we would try to find something before we left our home area. Good Luck! There is very little open on Thanksgiving Day. We had heard that Cracker Barrel was open, so, off we went. My wife and I have been to Cracker Barrel before but it's been years. We typically try to stay away from chains and neither of us are big fans of Cracker Barrel. We kind of knew what to expect. When we arrived about 9:30am, it was pretty busy with people coming and going and a full parking lot. There was also a table out front for people to pick up their pre-ordered Thanksgiving dinners and sides. Although it was busy, we were seated right away, provided menus and waters. Their lunch menu does not start until 11am. We each decided to get the Old Timer's Breakfast which comes with two eggs, your choice of breakfast side, biscuits and gravy and your choice of bacon or sausage. We both got scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, biscuits and gravy but my wife ordered bacon and I chose sausage. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and looked good. The food hit the spot but was nothing special. About what we had expected. We finished up and walked through the store area to check it out and pay our bill. The one we will say about Cracker Barrel is that it is consistent.

The sides are very small for the price point and my roll was not included. The food could use seasoning. For this place to be so out of the way, it is not worth it for take out as the restaurant does not properly prep for a long drive. There are ways that the food could be packaged to preserve some of the heat. The meat should be wrapped in foil to keep the styrofoam box from making it soggy. The restaurant is quaint but for the price, there are better soul food options. Lack of seasoning and tiny portions are a turn off.

Although it's tucked away in an unassuming business district, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm, inviting space and exceptional service. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the attention to detail throughout our meal was outstanding. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. It was served over a bed of crisp sliced cucumbers and the most amazing vinegar coleslaw. The combination of flavors was fresh, light, and memorable. Even the warm dinner rolls were outstanding and set the tone for the meal. For our entrées, the meatloaf was everything comfort food should be. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, served over creamy mashed potatoes with fresh French green beans. We also ordered the Chef's seasonal Squash Casserole, and it was phenomenal. If it's on the menu when you visit, don't miss it. Milner's way exceeded our expectations: wonderful food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable evening. These folks do a great job filling your order quickly and accurately, and for a reasonable price - things that used to be so common at restaurants stretching from hot dog joints to steak houses - pretty rare these days! This was the typical excellent meal from Honky Tonk - the brisket was very nice, made very special by their original BBQ sauce; the Brisket Chili had its own full smoky taste, with beans included, but apparently no onions; and the collards are good but not great - more sweetness than I care for, no sign of meat onions, or cabbage. I drain the liquid that comes with the collard and add a healthy doses of red wine vinegar and Texas Pete. The sausage included cheddar and jalapeños, and packed a nice spice level. This would be nice served a full length on a hot dog bun with a stout mustard. This Tue and Wed promise to be rather cool, will consider another visit for the Brunswick Stew, more good stuff!
