Perfectly full and satisfied! Today was our first time enjoying a Cracker Barrel experience. We went during lunch time on a a Wednesday. There was a small wait which was actually perfect because I wanted to browse their country store anyways as part of our visit. So many cute things! WOW! I ended up buying the cutest BLESSED home decor sign but literally was eyeing everything! We then finished the wait time outside on a rocking chair reviewing the menu. The hostess was super nice and told me about what her stars meant on her apron when I asked about it. We got paged to be seated soon after. Server was friendly, I saw staff members cleaning tables with spray and keeping the dining room clean. Our food was perfectly portioned and was fabulous. I had Chicken Fried Steak with Mac n cheese, apples, and coleslaw, biscuit and a corn bread. My husband had the sirloin steak, veggies, Mac n cheese, and the same breads. We finished everything! It was the perfect amount of food and we were completely satisfied. The decor is cute, the floors and bathrooms were clean. Everything was good. Looking forward to going back! Wow can I just say this is the worst Cracker Barrel I've ever been to. The 2.5 star rating they have is a generous rate. Came in at 525pm with a 1/8 full dining room. Was NEVER waited on. I looked at ALL THE WAIT STAFF SITTING TALKING IN THE KITCHEN HALLWAY AREA. Was looked at by them but no F**ks were given and they couldn't be bothered to do their job. We left without any service. Stoped by the hostess and let her know the staff couldn't be bothered so we're out. I ordered salad as a side fried chicken fingers and fried okra. The server brought our salads. As we were adding dressings to ournsalads, she brought our entrees. We literally had not taken our first bit of the salads yet. I finished my salad and moved to entree. The tenders by this time were cold, tough, and tasted like they were frozen and "cooked" in a microwave, same for okra. We went to the to pay the bill and were charged full price for salads even though we told server we were ordering salads as one of our 2 sides included with our entree. Service was terrible. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks, bread was never brought, after 45 minutes food came and one order was wrong. Asked for manager, she came and fixed the order and bread, but she had attitude while addressing it ( you know you have to order bread ). We did order biscuits when we ordered the drinks. I visited the old Cracker Barrel Country Store on Sunday morning and got there before the church crowed let out, I still had to wait 50 minutes in line with my little niece and sister, I know that food isn't that great there, but we really like going mostly because of the ambiance and nostalgic look of the store, my late husband loved all the old sings and old fashion candies, when it was finally our turn to seat down at our table, they gave us the 1st table as you walk into the restaurant. I asked the young lady if we could get another table and to my surprise she told me we would have to go back to the line start again, I was already upset because I had been told that if I was going to buy merchandise I needed to buy a tote because they had no large bags????? I asked to speak to the manager and he shocked me as well when he told me, that I needed to get back in line again if I didn't like that table as well because it was UNFAIR TO THE NEXT PERSON TO BE PUSHED BACK IN LINE, like if I hadn't already waited 50 minutes in line myself. I work in the retail business, and believe me I know the customer isn't always right, but this was totally wrong, I will NEVER EVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN !!! read more

I don't live near this particular Cracker Barrel, but we stopped in on our way home from an out of town wedding. We had a large party of 14, and they were pretty busy, but we only had to wait about 25 minutes. We had a terrific waitress who has worked there since 2005. She was very kind, helpful, and even recommended we come back on a Sunday and try the chicken that they have as a special. We looked at both the breakfast and the lunch menu, so she patiently waited for all of us to decide. If I ever get back to this location, I would want her to wait on us again. I think her name is Brenda, but I'm not positive. The food was great! My husband and I spend less than $30 between the two of us. We both got a drink. He had Dr. Pepper, I had the praline iced latte. The latte wasn't the best. It didn't really taste like praline, but it was decent enough. My cousin got a mocha latte and really enjoyed it. I had the sunrise sampler. It had bacon, sausage, ham, hashbrown casserole, fried apples, grits, biscuits, and gravy. Enough food for more than one meal. My husband got the meat loaf with green beans, and macaroni and cheese. I tasted the meat loaf and macaroni. Part of me wished I would've got that because it was so good, but mine was really good too. I enjoyed that there are lots of rocking chairs for sale on the front porch that you sit in while you wait. There are also lots of games you can play while you wait, and sometimes there are even games at the table. There is a store full of home decor, country themed goodies, and candy that you won't find anywhere else. TERRIBLE customer service. We checked in online and it had a wait time of 60 minutes. We got there 30 minutes ahead of time to check in and we were told another 15-30 minutes. Which is fine. We waited 30 more minutes so I asked for an update and they told me another HOUR. The two girls at the host stand were so incredibly rude to us saying it is what it is and we have to deal with it. I never write reviews but for being in hospitality, you should be much nicer to your customers. read more

Everyone here from the staff to the managers are unprofessional, rude, and racist. They will prolong seating you while continuing to serve white patrons with no problems. The manager is highly unprofessional and came up to us with an attitude and putting her hands all up in our faces before yelling and walking away. The food is mediocre microwave food. If I had not experienced Cracker Barrel previously, I would have assumed my feelings were bias because the whole time my wife was saying CHEDDARS she was talking about CRACKER BARREL when we were discussing what we and some friends were going to eat. Let's first discuss what's right or good about it. I like the Country decor of the place. I like the way the food is described in the menu Ok this boring - enough of this....NEXT CUSTOMER SERVICE: Usually the customer service is pretty good but I experienced a slight irritation with the little waitress we had at this particular location. ME: how are the burgers here? LITTLE WAITRESS: I don't know. I'm new. I'm sorry but I don't like that answer. Little Missy should have asked one of her co-workers to give us their opinion of the burger or lie about it .I'm not sweatin' the little training issue though :) FOOD: the presentation of the food is nice. I hadn't been back in a couple years. Visited recently with my husband while passing through. To my surprise, easy to find a table on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking and easy to get to from I-45. The mood: Fun gift store with clothes, candles, kid stuff, candies. Checkers and rocking chairs out front.I also love the lamps at each table and all the fun, old decor. Fireplace too. Esp in winter. The food: Omgsh those biscuits! And apple butter to top them. Service is always hit and miss and when it's bad, it's horrible. It's sad because the food is good and they have some excellent servers but when it's almost a 50/50 chance you're going to get someone forgetful like asks if you want biscuits, you say yes, and never returns with them, gets your order wrong, or you have to ask twice or 3 times for something because their head isn't there makes it a frustrating experience. I still tip 15% because they do the bare minimum but if I ever go back 0 will be my new minimum. ​It's just happened too often. read more

Cracker Barrel really has the homemade dishes down! The restaurant is clean and the service is always good. I like to bring my son here with me to eat we always play the peg game on the table and always have a blast trying to beat each other. I'm writing this at 2:30 in the morning, taking care of my girlfriend with food poisoning, wondering why every single time we think we should give this place another chance, they manage to f*** it up. Started with my mother-in-law ordering curbside, how are you offering curbside and not BRINGING THE FOOD TO THE CURBSIDE? It defeats the damn purpose of curbside! You know what else is pointless? Apparently talking to the manager because it happens every single F**KING TIME! Then she comes home with our food, we eat, and I was actually some what happy with it, besides the flavorless pancakes. Then the night comes. We're in bed, I'm about to go to sleep and then tragedy strikes. Literally every other Cracker Barrel we've been to hasn't killed anyones guts, but your kitchen managed to pull it off, we almost went to the hospital because it was hurting her so badly. To me, cracker barrel is a "Texas" thing to do. Not much to say.. good prices for okay food. Came on a thursday evening, there was no wait. I love the peg game on the table (loved it so much I bought one to bring one home). Besides that, what I also love are their biscuits!!! Not a fan of the apple butter.. illl stick with my grape jelly! I ordered the country fried steak and asked for gravy on the side.. it didn't come on the side. Ugh. I didn't want to be mean and return it but i just hate how it was basically soaked in gravy. My nephew had grilled chicken and fries and my sister had the pork with two sides. My nephews chicken (kids size) was bigger than the pork! That was ridiculous haha. I thought everything was bigger in texas?? Not much to rave about this place. Fantastic service and okay food. My daughter and I stopped here on our way from Dallas to Johnson Space Center. We arrived late lunchtime and it was packed on a Saturday with people even waiting outside. We made our way to the hostess stand which wasn't easy given how packed the store was. We only had to wait 15 minutes. We were waited on by a fabulous waitress. My daughter ordered fried shrimp and I had the lemon pepper trout. Was thrilled to be living near a Cracker Barrel but this location is probably the worst I've ever been too. I kept giving it chances too! At first we blamed COVID, maybe that's why the quality was so poor but now that's been over and done with, it still hasn't improved. At this point we'd drive 20mins away and visit Black Beat Dinner instead of 5mins down the road for this. They're either out of whatever specialty they're promoting, missing something, or the quality of food is horrible. Last time we went they were surprisingly able to give us a special coffee drink that was being featured but let me tell you it tasted like hot water and sugar. Then...the silverware...there was still food on it from whoever used it last. I grabbed about three more "new" ones and they were all filthy. I told a server and they just hashed it off like it wasn't a big deal. Didn't we just come out of COVID lockdown??? LOL. read more

We got on the waitlist before we left for the restaurant. We were greeted within a couple minutes of walking up to the hostess and we're seated promptly. Sierra took our drink order promptly and our food when we were ready. It did take a little while for the food to come out but not bad. I agree with other reviews that the corn bread isn't very good at this location but the biscuits are very good. There's no catfish on Friday nights...so I order the veggie plate...pintos, okra, slaw, hashbrown casserole. There are 6 dirty tables in our section that need to be cleared and cleaned. We order our food at 7:45pm. At 8:10 the waitress comes to tell me they are out of slaw, what would I like instead. Ok...it took you 25 minutes to tell me you are out of a side that is scooped out and can be served in like 30 seconds. Ok, I'll take Mac-n-cheese instead....oh you are out of that too. But our food is almost ready...great. Seven minutes later, still no food and no waitress and no manager. We walked out. Don't waste your time. read more

This location is pretty consistently an average execution of a national chain. You either like Cracker Barrel or you don't and either way this location offers few surprises. read more

During my 2 weeks vacation in Texas My cousin and i went to Dallas and on our way there we hopped by this restaurant for lunch. Its a huge place half is restaurant and the other half is gift shop,outside the place is is a line up of rocking chairs for display and also for sale. Long line up here it took us like almost an hour to get a table,the fun part of waiting is you get to explore the gift shop,this shop is different it showcases old stuffs sells souvenirs and handmade stuff.The ceiling of the shop you can find old tools hanging even an old bike etc it was very nice for a tourist like me,have'nt seen like one here in Canada. we got our table and we were both starving,our server was a lady and she was so nice...tables and chairs were old as well kinda antique touch,the wall decors were amazing old frames,family pictures,tools etc,each table has an old lamp which really suits the place ambiance We ordered a meatloaf and fried chicken steak we had the corn bread and for our side dishes where you get to pick three per one dish ordered,we had the country green beans,the fried apples and the turnip green,no problem with the foods good quality,serving is generous,the turnip greens rocks i loved it its like the cooking of my mother where she uses jute leaves.the fried apple is perfect the meatloaf is a must try dish in the menu...love it... Place is good for group,family and kids friendly Service is excellent,fast and very friendly,noise level is more than normal so many people inside,accept cash card and debit.the parking area is free and huge,wifi is free but slow,yes they have tV..
