    Under cooked scrambled eggs
    Sabrina M.

Let's start with the food...If under cooked scrambled eggs is your thing, this is the place for you. The waitress did bring new eggs but, these scrambled eggs were over cooked. One thing is for sure here, leave the eggs off the plate. Zooming into the best item I had, THE PANCAKES! They had a slight crisp to the outside. They were fluffy enough to have my taste buds pleased. I enjoyed every bite. I should have asked for orange juice but no, I wanted to try something different. Well that southern half and half drink was too bitter. Definitely not something I'd ever order again. My last issue would be the country ham. I enjoy every ham because it juicy and delicious. No, not this ham. It was dry and unpleasant. No more ham for any future order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the seating. It was clean and neat in the place. The pictures on the wall are unique.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would come back, however this gave me a better picture of what not to order. One last thing, our waitress was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated quickly and it was pleasantly quiet with a full dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here with our family that was in town from Hawaii as we all decided on breakfast. This was my recommendation as a local Google Guide as I wanted to ensure they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We checked the website and it said there was a 10 to 15 minute wait. Nonetheless, I added our names to the wait list before we arrived. This turned into a 30-minute wait but we were patient. Once we were seated our server Ashly took good care of us. Our food arrived promptly after ordering and we got a plethora of different items from stuffed pancakes, steak and eggs to fried onion leaves that reminded us of a blooming onion but flatter. During our wait we also checked out the store section which always has a wide variety of wonderful items. It's hard not to spend before you get seated seeing all the cool things! We still ended up making the most of this visit and everyone really enjoyed their food and drinks. I give this visit a 4 out of 5 Stars simply because wait time on the website was inaccurate and had we known it would be a longer wait we would have put our name on the wait list sooner. Overall, still a pleasant experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very busy atmosphere that day, so we can understand.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was on a business trip and found this near by my motel. This is my very first time here at any Crackle Barrel. I came here due to "The Old Man's Garage" on YouTube, for the automotive gear heads you might know who I'm talking about. He features Crackle Barrel on his YouTube channel in Ohio. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First pulling up to this location I found it how I seen it in videos, just your back in the better days of life would be. White rocking chairs and while you wait you can play a game of checkers outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in you go through the 2 sets of doors and you immediately walk in a small store with a lot of souvenirs, and not to mention all the old decor hanging. There is so much clothes to jewelry to kids toys in a tiny space and more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in more on your left side you walk in the restaurant and you can help feel the warmth of the fire place. Can't help to look at all the memorabilia on the walls. You feel right at home especially with the friendly staff![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The young man that helped me was outstanding! I believe his name was Anatole? I hope I got his name correctly. I couldn't decide what to eat and my young man server suggested the Trio, that came with fried chicken, meatloaf and chicken dumplings. First off all of it came hot and the meat loaf and the chicken was supper soft! I didn't care for the dumpling, however I tried it. The Okra was very delicious as well. This all came with some biscuits and it was really good as well. I top this off with sweet tea. Bottom line I will be back before I leave in a few days. If you ever near any Crackle Barrel please stop in. Again the staff is so sweet and this is a must!! Too bad the younger generation doesn't realize how it was prior. Thank you Bill from the "Old Man's Garage"!!

    Steak and Eggs

Fried Pickles, they were perfect and the totes were great too. I had a steak and eggs with hash brown casserole, I love it. My wife check on noodle soup with a side salad and she enjoyed it immensely.. The service was spot one never had to wait for a refills. Food came out in a timely manner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is perfect love the way it looks love walking into the feel of something in the past[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] can't say more than

Dark specks in the salt shaker.

This place has gone downhill over the years. The food is subpar and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the dining room could use a deep cleaning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our drinking glasses were dirty. One had sugar stuck on the outside of it and the utensils were not cleaned properly; we asked for replacements. The salt shaker had black specks in it. At least the service is still good.

The Frederick location is one of the best in comparison to the ones in Florida and along the East coast. This location, on a Sunday evening, was extremely busy. The line to get a table was very long for a few minutes but the staff handled it well. The front line staff was experienced and clam. Very unlike some other locations. We were seated in short order which leads me to the highlight of our visit. Our server Rowen was clam, very nice, and not ruffled by the crowd. She provided excellent service throughout our stay. We had the old timers breakfast and the Homestyle fried chicken along with warm (this is not always the case at other locations) corn bread and biscuits. The old timers consisted of two eggs, over easy, moist and cheesy homestyle potatoes (other locations feature neither moist or cheesy) and crisp bacon. It was great. My husband had the chicken with the apples and dumplings. Unfortunately, Cracker Barrel just doesn't do dumplings well at any location we have visited. My husband had not tried them for a while until this visit. They are still hard, tough thus not at all flakey. The only real negative for the whole evening. We would eat at the Frederick location again.

This place and location in particular can be a hit or miss, at times. If you don't already know, Cracker Barrel is known for their country style dishes and vibe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside of the restaurant is lined up with rocking chairs that you can purchase. When you walk in, you walk into the store portion before getting to the dining area. It's a great idea! We always end up browsing and purchasing something here and there. The store has a variety of cool things to buy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food here is good, but average. Nothing special, but solid. Very reasonably priced and a good amount of food! On our last visit we ordered the Stuffed Cheesecake Pancake breakfast, Grandma's Sampler with French Toast, Country Boy Breakfast, and the kids Mini Confetti Pancakes. The food was O-K and the quality we were expecting. My ham and sausage were a little dry, but still tasted fine. Everyone was satisfied with their meals. Our server was okay as well. Nice enough, but could've checked on the table a little more. She checked on us once throughout the meal, although there was a point we had to get their attentive as we needed refills, but it wasn't a big deal. Will we be back? Probably. It's a cost effective choice with decent food.

It filled up fast, and there was a lively bar crowd, and also an engagement party celebration upstairs. All of the servers were so friendly, and happy to share their favorite dishes and beers, etc. We started with the wings, which were great, and then we had the house salad with salmon and the burger and fries. OK, I did not order the burger and fries, but my boyfriend did, and I ate half the fries on his plate, they were that good! Great, friendly, with generous pours for wine, and just a really friendly, great place with perfect food for a winter day. I wish I could find a place like this in Washington, DC.

The restaurant has a great vibe, and you can tell a lot of attention went into the design and overall atmosphere. The staff can be a bit hit or miss. Our servers have always been friendly and attentive, but the host has been a little off-putting on a couple of visits. The food is still very good, although I've noticed a slight decline in quality over my last two visits. That said, it hasn't been enough to keep me from coming back. Overall, it's a great restaurant and one I'd still recommend to anyone visiting or living in Frederick.

Made a reservation not like you really need one, but we made one and was seated down pretty quickly. The host was nice and friendly and the wait staff said hello to us within the five minutes of us seating. I appreciated how family-friendly this place was, they give these cute little animal boxes with different things inside and crayons to keep the kids entertained. The decoration is fun with a lot of outdoor vibes and stuffed real animals. They bring out a side of chip and a yogurt dill dip that's interesting, a fun idea. The food, mhm so we ordered a lot! Crab dip: 2.5/5 not too bad but not memorable, okay amount of crab, flavors were too heavy on the cream cheese/fillers but just okay, they need more bread with it but the chips helped. Prob wouldn't order again Crab cake: 3.8/5 pretty good size and good amount of crab and good flavor probably the best dish that we had ordered here! Would get again. Burger: 3/5 granted I did order this medium well for my kid, but the burger was charred a little too much around the burger, giving it a sort of dry crunch on the edges and charcoal burn vibes. Not my favorite texture that I would want on a burger, but perhaps it would've been different if I ordered a medium? Bread itself was a little stale/crunchy which I did not prefer how it was cooked/prepared. Overall, it was just okay. Ribs: 2.5/5 the ribs were half off ribs so I decided to go for it because of the good deal. But it was just okay, being that Blackhog barbecue is right next-door (thier dry rub ribs are amazing), I would hope that they would step up their barbecue rib game. For a " full rack" there were only nine bones and seemed a little smaller than what I'm used to. It's very heavy on the sauce which I didn't think was the best pairing and wasn't the best flavor bbq sauce. Overall, I wouldn't order it again. Steak kabob: 3.2/5 this was actually pretty tender for the cut of meat, I'm surprised that I didn't have to work for it so I was happy about that! The only criticism that we have is that the meat itself did not have that much flavor or seasoning and there's only one skewer of meat and one skewer of veggies. Meaning the total amount of meat that was probably on that dish was no more than 4 -5 ounces of steak. And for that price point, I would want a little bit more meat. Mac and Cheese: 3.5/5 pretty good for a kids Mac! Good cheese and flavor was impressed! Overall, the service and the host in the experience of being there was pretty good, but the food was a little lacking not sure if I would go again, but it was on our right experience in terms of food

I had driven two hours and was hungry, but I was also committed to making good decisions. Or at least mostly good decisions... The hostess offered me a seat at the second-floor bar rather than the quoted 25-30 minute wait. Great! Solo diners love surprise upgrades. Unfortunately, when I got upstairs, the one "available" seat had apparently been claimed by a diaper bag and a giant straw sunhat belonging to the woman sitting next to it holding a too-little-to-walk baby sitting at the bar. Uhhh...this isn't going to work. Back downstairs I went. I gave them my name and number, found a shady spot outside, and settled in for what I assumed would be a long wait. Five minutes later, my table was ready. Thank you, Universe! My server greeted me with water immediately, explained the QR code menu situation, and told me not to order through the app because she'd be right back. No worries, friend. I'd already done my homework. I knew exactly what I wanted. One Martha Stewart's Prison Pizza ($22), please. (Sausage, broccoli, ricotta, Calabrian chili peppers, lemon oil, and sea salt.) I asked for the chili peppers on the side because I know myself. I like adventure. I don't enjoy possibly setting my mouth on fire. And a Diet Pepsi ($3.50), because balance. While I waited, I people-watched, which is one of my favorite hobbies. White Rabbit was PACKED. The patio was full. The downstairs bar was full. Upstairs was full. Couples, groups of girlfriends, older folks, younger folks, families, solo diners...everyone seemed happy to be there. The place itself is pretty small, which explains the wait. Six tables downstairs, maybe eight bar seats, more seating upstairs, and a constant dance of servers carrying food through the same front door customers use. Add the "please wait to be seated" crowd gathering in the narrow hallway and I'd describe things as organized chaos. But once I was seated, I was perfectly comfortable and out of the traffic pattern. One cool touch I noticed: outlets and USB ports built right into the front of the bar. Maybe that's common and I've somehow missed it all these years, but I thought it was pretty neat. Then my pizza arrived. Oh good lawd. OH. GOOD. LAWD. This pizza was SO GOOD! I knew from the first bite that I was in trouble. There was no sauce, which surprised me at first, but after approximately three seconds I no longer cared. The sausage was plentiful. The broccoli added texture. The ricotta was creamy and rich. And that lemon oil?! That lemon oil set it off! Everything just worked together perfectly. The Calabrian peppers arrived on the side exactly as requested. I bravely sampled a very small amount on my fork before desecrating my pizza and quickly determined that folks with stronger heat tolerance than me will absolutely love them. They were just a little too spicy for my delicate tastebuds. Thankfully, the pizza was incredible without them. And those slices? MONSTERS. I ate one and seriously contemplated a second before reminding myself that I had dessert plans elsewhere. A box was requested. Self-control was exercised. Barely. As a solo diner, I also want to give White Rabbit extra points. Multiple staff members checked on me throughout the meal. I never felt forgotten, rushed, or weird sitting by myself. Everyone was warm, kind, and made me feel completely comfortable. I really appreciated that. My total bill came to $32.44 including tip which felt really reasonable given the amount of pizza I consumed and brought home. Worth every penny. I'm already scheming my next two-hour drive back. Maybe a smashburger. Maybe those Brussels sprouts everyone keeps raving about. Maybe another pizza. Maybe all of it! I highly recommend checking out White Rabbit. Make it a destination, not just a stop while you're in the area. Don't let the size of the place or the wait scare you off. It's totally worth it. PRO TIP: If you park in the Church Street Parking Garage, look for the staircase labeled "STAIR 3." White Rabbit is literally right outside the door at the bottom. No hide-and-seek required!

We wanted a memorable place to mark the occasion and chose Showroom. I even noted both celebrations when making our reservation a week in advance. The hostess was friendly and kind, although clearer direction on where to wait would have helped. The front entrance was congested, and we felt like we were in everyone's way. Unfortunately, the service never matched the occasion. Our server never introduced themselves or acknowledged either celebration. They began taking orders without any engagement, and throughout the meal we were repeatedly unable to get their attention. I understand Sunday brunch is busy, but I work in a concierge-driven environment and was genuinely disappointed by the lack of hospitality. The food was mixed. The chicken and waffles and the omelet were good. My husband's steak was cold and the portion was very small. He ordered French fries but received unseasoned potatoes that lacked any flavor. My fish and chips were fine but also lacked seasoning, lemon, or any attention to detail. I specifically requested fries without Old Bay but received fries heavily coated in it. We also ordered a steak and eggs meal to go, which took about 30 minutes. When it was opened later, it contained only three small slices of steak. My brother-in-law genuinely thought he had been given someone's leftovers because the portion was so disappointing. My husband quietly paid the $300 bill while I still hoped someone might acknowledge the birthday or retirement with a simple mention, smile, or thank you. It never happened. We were never even offered a desert menu. We left without a goodbye or any acknowledgment from the staff. Disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we felt. We had many options in Frederick but chose Showroom because we expected a special experience. I could tell my family didn't want to complain because I had spoken so highly of the restaurant, but they were equally underwhelmed. Please do better.
