This was our second visit to this location. Our first experience was disappointing, ​and we felt that perhaps it was an off-day. However, returning would pose a better outcome which fell short of satisfactory. I ordered the Sunday Homestyle chicken with baby carrots, Hashbrown​ Casserole​, ​and sweet tea. We were served several biscuits​ with butter in a loud restaurant​ environment. I have never​ experienced​ such a loud atmosphere of noise where you can hardly hear the conversation at your table. Perhaps it is the way the building was designed? The wait staff didn't​ seem very happy, communicated, or supported one another. Overall, the attitude appeared and felt frowning and irritable. Asking for beverage refills, which didn't​ occur, seemed cantankerous or bothersome. ​The biscuits​ were dry, hard, and crispy on the outside. When asked for another batch they were eventually taken, ​but no replacements ever made its way back to our table. When the food arrived, the chicken was very dry with no flavor as if it has been sitting for an extended period under a heat lamp. The potatoes were starchy and stiff without any visible moisture. As for the carrots, they were lukewarm and had no flavor at all. ​I tried to send this plate back, but our waitress perhaps entered a witness protection program because she wasn't​ seen again until delivering the bill. She apologized​ for the service but didn't​​t make any attempt to rectify the order. When I asked for a refill for tea because everything was so dry, she must have entered the witness protection program once again because we failed to see her again. No manager or other employee checked in on us during our dinner service. Paying at the register has the same saddened appearance​ of employees. When we explained our dinner service we were greeted with an apology​​ but nothing more or at a minimum to speak with a member of management. Maybe, just maybe, staff and management are having issues and allowing the customer to bring the problems​ to social media? At least that is how the outcome appears. However, based on two separate visits to this particular location, I would highly recommend​​ another Cracker Barrel in the meantime as this one doesn't​appear​r up to standard. read more

I haven't eaten here in years & yesterday I got reminded on every single reason why I choose not to go here. Even more so, this specific location. I made an online order to-go for a simple chicken & French toast. I waited the 30 minutes it took to make it, which was a waste of time because I had to wait in my car for over an hour & have multiple employees ask me what I was waiting on without anyone trying to offer compensation for their inconvenience. When I finally got my food, I waited it out because it was paid for already, someone with a higher position in the restaurant bought it out to me. He was extremely rude, a white tall bald guy that wears a bow tie to be exact. I asked what could be done because I was not satisfied with my visit with the waiting. He said that there was nothing he could do specifically (which was a lie) that I would have to speak to a manager then he told me one was not available because they all were cooking. Honestly, I would have been satisfied with a free drink or coupon, because I can get my money back but I cannot get my time back. If it is more than one manager available, then one has time to deal with customers. He took down my number did not even bother to get my name (I think because I am African American & he assumed I would be another irate customer). Arrived on a Sunday and the wait was about 45 minutes. Got seated, in the far end dining hall, thermometer on the wall said 69 degrees and the ceiling fans were running pretty fast. Everyone including myself had to put on a jacket. Then waited and waited for our meal, thank goodness it did arrive hot and delicious. My wife opted out of one of the sides that came with her meal and asked for a couple slices of tomato instead. To our surprise they charged us $1.10 per slice, who does that? A dollar 10? They have the best house salad, grape tomatoes, fresh bacon, cucumbers, lettuce blend, homemade croutons. Love their blue cheese and honey french mixed as my dressing. Reuben was grilled perfectly, nice blend of flavors. Fries were hot, crispy. My guy had meatloaf, his go to. His only complaint, they used to serve 2 slices, now just one, with 3 sides. The meal was good, though. Creamy Mac n cheese, fried okra, mash potatoes. Biscuits weren't as hot, fluffy but were fresh. TRISH was unprofessional and inattentive. She argued with the hostess as we were being seated because we were now her 4th table. Poor attention, waited excessive time for our drink orders or any acknowledgement. After an hour from placing our order I finally got her attention and requested if our food wasn't done by now then just cancel the order. She actually responded well I don't know if your food is ready, she walks to the back and MIRACULOUSLY walks back with plates. 50% of the order was incorrect. Went to this Cracker Barrel last night around 8 for a late dinner. We sat with Brandon who is an excellent server who very clearly loves what he does and cares about the quality of his service and the food that he delivers to his guests. If he's working, ask for him. Speaking of the food, it was excellent. Steaming hot chicken n'dumplings that definitely didn't disappoint. We highly recommend the apple pecan streusel pie while they have it for the holidays. The great time only continues in the general store where the employees and the manager at the counter were welcoming and glad to engage in friendly conversation. An hour and a half wait, after we were originally told only an hour; And we watched tables of 3-6 be sat consistently that came in only 20minutes prior to being sat. I get that it can be busy during the holidays. But at an hour and a half wait it's time to start joining tables to accommodate the slightly larger party instead of just pushing them to the side. I've worked the serves industry for years, and this is just common sense. If you are planning on going to just about any Cracker Barrel then you know to expect a wait. Which is fine because they have enough fun and interesting things in their country store to keep you occupied. When it's warmer outside there are several rocking chairs on the porch to relax in as well as a checker board. If it's cold outside then sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy a game of checkers. The walls are decorated with all types of antiques and pictures. We enjoy naming the people in the pictures and making up stories about which side of the family they are from and what they did for a living. As for the food, it's always hot, good and plentiful with something on the menu for most anybody. Some of the best hot biscuits you will find in any restaurant, with apple butter to go with them if you ask. Always a good place to take your family or meet with friends. read more

Walked in over an hour before closing, waited for 10 minutes while the hostess walked around the largely empty dining room. Overheard a server tell her not to seat us in her section. She eventually came back and seated us at a table far from everyone else in the restaurant. No one came by or even acknowledged our existence for over 10 minutes, so we left. I explained over the phone that I am vegetarian and would like there to be no bacon on my salad. I got home and there was bacon. Went back got 2 more salads that they compensated me for, came back home and still there is bacon. Had to get the manager to make me a salad and then had to stand at the cash register and check it real fast just so I could eat it and be sure that there was no bacon. Got back home and picked through every piece of lettuce more carefully this time and there was bacon in my salad again. The manager Randy said that he prepared this salad himself and that there is no bacon in it. Then when I called him he tried to accuse me of lying and asked that I bring the salad back with the bacon in it. Randy is just as incompetent as all of his cooks apparently. This is the worst service I have received in my ENTIRE LIFE and never will be visiting this Cracker Barrel or any of their establishments ever again. read more

This has become one of the worst restaurants in the area. Went there for breakfast, which used to be a favorite, but had one of the worst meals ever. Took forever to get anyone to wait on me after I was seated and then that was, I think, a floor manager because she wasn't wearing the uniform and was talking on a headset. The only reason she finally talked to me was she was right next to my table and I guess she decided to say something. I gave her my order and thought all was well. My regular wait person kept walking by me but never acknowledged my presents until she finally brought my coffee out. Someone else brought my food so that's 3 people I have to deal with. The food was a complete disaster. Asked for eggs over medium, got scrambled, asked for smoked sausage which I thought would be pork and got turkey, asked for country ham but got something not even close and the bacon I swear oinked at me, the fried apples were tasteless, they forgot the seasonings, the hashbrown casserole, a looked forward to favorite of mine, were tasteless also. Couldn't eat more than one forkfull. Now the biscuits. Again, they used to be one of those to-die-for items you look forward to. Not these! They are obviously not homemade anymore and were one of the most disgusting things I ever put in my mouth. Could not even finish half of one with jam. And don't they have cornbread anymore? When I finally got my waitresses attention and told her my concerns, she didn't seem to care and said she would take it back. What I received in return was the same garbage only on a different plate. The eggs were fried but over easy and very runny, the sausage was still turkey (I'll eat healthy at my choice), the ham still came from a country I'm not familiar with (c'mon, a good southerner knows country ham), the bacon this time was hard as a rock and I didn't even try the apples and little dab of hash brown casserole they brought out. This is the first time I have ever left Cracker Barrel hungry. The ONLY redeeming thing of the whole experience was the coffee. At least someone in the kitchen knows how to prepare good food! Great food, service, & family friendly atmosphere. We eat as a family here several times a year. The service is what keeps us returning. Last night the turkey & dressing special was excellent and our meal came out quickly too. The past month we had Kristy & Paul as our servers on separate occasions and they both were always on the ball and accurate! Fast and friendly service. Plus you always see the managers working too which is refreshing. Last night a female manager was busting tables, cleaning and constantly working.
