We arrived here too late for dinner and departed too early for breakfast, but that's okay. Cracker Barrel allows RVers to use their parking lot for overnight stays as long as you're respectful of the space. And that's what we did, picking a quiet corner of the parking lot and locking up for the night. The original plan was to eat breakfast at Another Broken Egg with some of my family. Their fryer went out, and there were a lot of items that could not be prepared. The decision was made to dine at Cracker Barrel. It was VERY crowded with people waiting inside and outside. It was a 20 minute wait. Once seated I ordered the Mama's pancakes with bacon, scrambled eggs and a side of loaded tatter tots. My third pancake, the one on the bottom was burnt, and in all fairness the waitress did get me another order of pancakes and the third pancake, the one on the bottom was still almost the at the point of being burned, but not quite there. The breakfast was only ok to me, and I wish we had dined some where else, and felt like I wasted $15.00 and some change. The best part of dining at Cracker Barrel was spending time with my family, and it's always good to spend time with family. read more

The quality of the food was lacking. It arrived barely warm. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was the outstanding service we received from our waitress. This was unfortunately cancelled out by our conversation with the restaurant manager. She was unwilling to modify the menu by allowing us to order an additional entree. This would have been fine except for her antagonistic attitude. She was rude and offensive. Got charged $3 for a couple shreds of cheese on two small bowls of grits when realistically you can get a bag of cheese at the grocery store for that price or less. The waiter was really nice about the situation and had brought it to the managers attention which then resulted in us waiting 10 minutes and having to find the manger ourselves. Tiffany the manger, didn't show any sense of understanding or even had the correct costumer service skills to fix the situation instead told us "if you ate cheese we're going to charge you for cheese even though it's a couple shreds." As a manager of a restaurant I strongly believe it is huge to assist your customers in any way and satisfy them, and to give them the best service possible which was not given to me and my wife. $3 for shreds of cheese is absolutely outrageous. read more

Omg this was a great stop after a trip. It's a cute store/shop with numerous random items with southern charm. Inside there is a restaurant with lots of seating and wonderful team members. I was greeted by wonderful ladies who led me to my table. Lots of condiments in the table for dining and a great menu with good eats. My server Katie was wonderful, very warm smile and recommended me the crispy southern chicken. I got that with three sides and a cherry lemonade. Boy the chicken was amazing, crispy, tender, juicy, I had no gravy but should've had it. Coleslaw was crispy and corn was yummy along with the Mac n cheese. The order came with biscuits that were warm and soft. Cherry lemonade was so refreshing and got a free refill! A gentlemen gave me a to go container for my chicken and Katie B and the team gave a wonderful experience that I will certainly return to. read more

My hotel breakfast was a bonafide disappointment leading me to want an actual, edible breakfast. When in doubt, Cracker Barrel to the rescue! We had two grandma's samplers - one with blueberry pancakes, hash brown casserole and grits, the other with buttermilk pancakes, hash brown casserole, sausage and bacon. This is my second time eating at Cracker Barrel in general. Decided to join in on my friends family dinner. Service was amazing and fast. Everything was delicious. I don't normally like fried okra because it can get soggy - but these were nice and crisp, fries well. The chicken and gravy were ok, nothing special but well portioned. Same with green beans. I enjoy Cracker Barrel now and then. I just went through a Cracker Barrel rediscovery. Had not visited in several years. The food is consistently fresh, quick and good. The prices are also reasonable. I much prefer the Woodruff Rd location over Grandview. The Woodruff location is customer centric and the employees are competent and courteous. And great take-out. Call ahead 20 minutes and your food will be waiting. Give Cracker Barrel another try for home style food. read more

This Cracker Barrel is located within walking distance of the Drury Inn and Suites in Greenville. You can access this place from Interstate 85 at exit 51A. This place is fairly easy to see from the highway, plus there are signs indicating the place is here as well. Normally we would just eat at the hotel since they have a kickback dinner. However, due to major traffic delays through Atlanta, we didn't get to the hotel until about 7:15 pm (the kickback dinner at the Drury Inn and Suites runs from 5:30 to 7 pm). After we got settled in the room, we walked over to Cracker Barrel. We thought there might be a wait since the parking lot was pretty full, but we were immediately seated. After being seated, our server came to the table within a minute or so. He asked us for our drink orders and was very quick to bring them out to us. By the time the drinks came out, we were ready to order as well. The ordering process was smooth. Within about 6-10 minutes, our food was delivered to the table. The food was hot and good. It was great to have some good food after the bad experience at the Cracker Barrel in Meridian, MS the night before. The server came over several times to check on us, and since it wasn't busy, we started talking with him for a little bit. He was a great server on this visit. Overall, this was a good experience at Cracker Barrel. If we are in the area again late to the hotel, I would come back here again. This is a place you should consider as well. read more

We have been 3 times now and this location has spoiled us for other Cracker Barrel's. It reminds me of the chain when it was first starting. Unfortunately quality control has slipped but not at the Woodruff Rd. restaurant. We've had the hash brown casserole, eggs, bacon pancakes, French toast, slaw, country steak, mashed potatoes among other things and for the most part it was cooked as it should be, not overcooked or undercooked though the okra could have stayed in the fryer a little longer. It's hard to mess up breakfast but it is possible. In some restaurants, the country ham is tough as shoe leather but not here. The biscuits are cooked just right and are tasty and if you want more, just ask. Our servers have been friendly and attentive. And for what you get, in today's world, the price is right. Hash browns were soft and mushy (vs hash brown casserole), Supposed to receive bacon, bacon, sausage (all well done). Received 2 sausage and no bacon. No butter for grits or biscuits. The food runner was in such a hurry she was leaving the table before we could finish our requests. Got the butter, by then the biscuits and grits were cold. Got 2 strips of bacon, rubbery and not well done. My husband ordered chicken strips fries and pinto beans. The 'special sauce' was missing, and he had a 1/4 bowl or pintos. Four star waitress Kayla, made this trip to CB a 5 star experience. With her curly hair and cool glasses she made us feel welcome and well taken care of. I ordered my usual Uncle Herschel's breakfast with over easy eggs, hash brown casserole, fried catfish, biscuits and gravy and grits. Hubby ordered Grandma's dish of pancakes, hash brown casserole, eggs and a sampler of breakfast meats that included sausage, bacon and ham. We both sampled the biscuit beignets with butter pecan sauce and had an extra side of the chocolate sauce to try. We preferred the butter sauce. The biscuits portion was likely one biscuit cut up into pieces and so for almost 4 bucks, it's not worth it. It was good but not mind blowing. They're more like cake donuts than beignets. Everything in our meals were soooo good and everything came out hot. Kayla checked on us plenty and made sure we had catsup, hot sauce and hot coffee. Oh yes, the coffee. I do wish it was a tad bit stronger. It's very weak as far as coffee goes so I'm not sure I'd get it again. Coffee for both us was just under 5 bucks and I think McDonalds does a better coffee for less. A couple of other members of the wait staff noticed that the window shade was up near our window table and asked if it was too much and if we wanted it closed. We had actually pulled it up a bit because we are always so cold when we go to Cracker Barrel no matter where it is. But we just thought it was cool that they noticed and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. This place is certainly worth a visit and if 4 star Kayla (the stars on her apron) is there, you'll certainly get great service so make sure you tip her well because great service is hard to come by these days. When we were seated, our server was scraping something off the floor. I had to wait to sit bc she just kept scraping. Finally we sat. Biscuits were tasty but that's about as far as it went. I had chicken and dumplings, okra and greenbeans. Sub par. I had to add way too much salt to even taste anything. My girls had chicken tenders. We they asked for ranch and it was awful!
