    The boneless Southern fried chicken
    Paul S.

My mom ordered the grandma's breakfast and I had the Momma's breakfast. Both were great and my wife ordered the southern fried, boneless chicken with a side of green beans and potatoes. We all had a blast and it was in part to Summer's super service! The dining room was busy , but orderly! I don't recall any music being played in the dining room, but I think there was some in the general store.

Ordered delivery... biscuit sandwich with an egg. Where is the biscuit? Don't know. Didn't show up with the rest. Also so poorly packaged that the egg is cold and ran all over. Quality check on receipt. What a joke. 2nd time this has happened ordering this item. First time I called the store and spoke to the manager who defensively told me her staff is very seasoned and she doesn't know how that could happen. 2nd time now... same issue.

Breakfast choice this morning, great service, two eggs over medium, hashbrowns, hashbrown casserole, one slice bacon, one ham, one sausage, the grandma breakfast.

    Horrible chicken tenders too.

Horrible service and manager care. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food. Asked to talk to the manager Shannon, and all Shannon the manager said was "im aware" and sorry. That take out orders and large groups were delaying things. Many tables around us that came in got their food before us. We ordered 2 burgers and one breakfast meal and one chicken tenders. Now there is barely anyone in the restaurant eating. The servers were more apologetic than Shannon, who did not offer anything to compensate besides her "I am aware".

Well the food that we got was great. We both got the beef campfire dinners. And that's the end of the good. Waters?? Nope. We never got water which usually isn't a big deal except for when you ask for drink refills and don't receive them until after you've eaten is a problem. We didn't have any napkins despite asking for them multiple times. I went to the hostess station to get them. We ordered an appetizer,,,,,,which Gracie forgot to put in, and then fought about taking it off of the bill after I said that I don't want it now. We asked for jelly for the biscuits, which used to be on the table,,,,,,,yeah we got it after we were done eating. The bathrooms were BOTH disgusting!!! We come to this location often. We're here at least twice a month. I'm going to Kenosha from now on. It's only 10 more minutes away,,,,,

While I was in town for my dad's birthday, we decided to celebrate at Cracker Barrel since it's one of his favorite breakfast places to eat. Our party included about 10 people and they quickly accommodated us as soon as we arrived. At first glance at the menu, I noticed this location had mimosas which came as a pleasant surprise since I didn't recall this restaurant offering mimosas before but both my nephew and I ordered one with our breakfast. As we were all deciding what we wanted to eat, our waitress was very sweet and patient with us and even helped us pick out some of our meals which I thought was very nice. The mimosas came out fairly quickly and were actually pretty good. I had taste for a skillet type meal so I ordered the Bacon N' Egg Hashbrown Casserole with no tomatoes and it was very tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried onions on top. My family also ordered some extra biscuits and fried apples and they were both delicious! The sweetness of the fried apples paired with my skillet was very good. As we finished our breakfast, we sang happy birthday to my dad and the whole restaurant joined in which I thought was really sweet. I don't eat at Cracker Barrel often but I may start to dine in every now and then because the food was better than I remember. Overall, I had a great breakfast experience with my family at this location and if I'm ever in town again, I'll definitely return.

Emily our server was the SWEETEST! She was very busy but made to take great care of us! Thanks Emily! And she even wrote a nice message on my nieces cup! Great service

The frappe was also really good. My friend ordered the avocado toast, which she liked, but her caramel macchiato was off at first it tasted mostly like milk with a little caramel. They did fix it though, so I'll give them credit for that. Only downside was she ended up feeling like she got food poisoning afterward. The egg on her dish had a thin film on it, so we're thinking it might not have been fully cooked, which is concerning. Service itself was good and the staff was nice. Parking was also easy, which is always a plus. Good food overall, but that situation definitely threw things off a bit.

This meant that afterwards, we would arrive at Golden Corral for breakfast, which I haven't done for a very long time. It ended up being a lot better than expected, and we even had a chance to bleed into lunch a bit because of the good company. Breakfast pricing is different in that it is the same price $14.19 (before 11am) 7 days a week (on Sunday, after 11 am, it is premium dinner pricing). It wasn't crowded at all, but even then the one person omelet station had a long wait, so ended up sampling other dishes. The french toast was very good, with it being prepared right in front of you using a large flat-top grill. I did end up sampling an all veggie omelet from someone else's plate, and it was quite good (though I wish there were salsa available). There was a salad bar, with seafood salad which I always enjoy. Fried chicken was a hit in our table, getting it right after it had been fried. And around 11, they started to put out some of the premium items including pot roast, pork bbq ribs, and freshly fire grilled sirloin steaks (all of which I would vouch for). Service was good, with the waiter keeping up to clear all the plates our party was accumulating and keeping our water filled. And because it wasn't so crowded in the beginning, we were able to easily navigate the buffet area (it got a lot more crowded once it went past 10:30).

So, while waiting for someone to come--we walked around the buffet to view the food options. Needless to say, the food appeared to look uncooked and to us it seemed like the chefs were in a rush. Last time, I was here in 2023, and there was a higher variety of food options and we could easily find an employee.

I got around 1 lb altogether and my bf got around 1 1/2 lb and we were both stuffed by the end of the night. Sadly they were out of crawfish but I am excited for crawfish season.
