My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday around 12pm. We were seated immediately in a booth (all the tables are booths). Our server came promptly and took our drink orders. We looked at the menu and they don't have a veggie omelette listed but you can make your own. So I ordered an egg white omelette with cheddar, tomato's, mushrooms, red peppers, spinach. The veggies were diced super small which isn't my preference personally. But the omelette was huge and tasted good. I also got a side of turkey bacon and fruit. The turkey bacon was good. The fruit tasted fresh. Overall I enjoyed my food. My boyfriend ordered the club sandwich with fries and said it was good. Pros: Easy to get a table on a Saturday, fast, friendly and efficient service. Food tasted fresh, lots of variety to choose from. Cons: Cost, my boyfriend said the check was $70 for breakfast, I'm guessing because I got a custom omelette. That's probably the biggest reason I wouldn't come back to Keke's. There are better brunch places that are half the price. Not having a veggie omelette either is just strange to me. I know you can get the other omelettes without meat but still. However, when checking in, looking at numerous empty tables, we are told there is a 25 minute wait because the kitchen is backed up, it leads me to think they don't really value their customers. It would be better to seat them, then tell them the service might be slow because the kitchen is swamped. At least then we could have coffee while we wait. Went looking around with my dearest for a breakfast restaurant on a Saturday morning recently and spotted a Keke's Breakfast Cafe on this drive! Hit the brakes immediately, especially since I already loved the Keke's restaurant at Town Center by Best Buy. The Keke's at Town Center has some wear and tear as it's been around for a good number of years now. But not this location! I felt like I was entering the grand opening of a new Keke's as it looked amazing inside! Better yet, every server and the door and table area greeted gave us an enthusiastic welcome! I knew it was going to be a great visit! I've come to like Keke's for the separation and privacy their seating booths offer. Spacing is good, almost like cubicles. These offer a nice opportunity to keep conversations close at hand. As for the service, Madison (Maddy) was our assigned server and gave us excellent help in choosing our orders from the start. In the ordering, she also saved us a few dollars by turning our meals into combos. I have to say, as Maddy continued working with us through the breakfast, I continued to be impressed with her cheerful approach to us and those she served in the area around us. Then on one stop, she mentioned that her mom worked at the Town Center Keke's. I immediately asked her, "Does her name happen to be Michelle?" She replied, "Yes.!" I knew it!! I let her know I could tell someone trained you well - Maddy was trained by the best for sure! It was a super fun moment! Well, as for the meal, I ate much more than usual, but the cinnamon apple French toast continues to be my favorite here. I may be getting too much sugar but I assure I don't do this often! I enjoyed the ham steak and scrambled eggs too, as they were cooked to order just right. My friend received three monster-sized pancakes, four sausage links and scrambled eggs. It was a meal that lasted two days and all were delicious! This breakfast outlet is a shining star on Atlantic Blvd! You get a great feel here right when you walk in! We came on a Sunday morning and waited for 20 minutes, which was good. We ordered our food and waited 45 minutes from the time we order to being served. I almost don't mind the wait, but my eggs ice cold, my pancakes were so cold the butter wouldn't melt and my ham steak was charred and hard - cold also. Our bill was $45, for 2 of us. I gave KeKe's a chance- I didn't love the Town Center location (from years ago), so when they opened a location super close to my house I didn't rush over. But after a couple visits in- it's good. The Yogurt bowl was amazing- just look at the picture and all the fruit!!! The service was better on my second visit. I will put this restaurant on my breakfast rotation! I couldn't decide between 3 & 4 stars. The server was hard to get, but I could tell that she was busy. I ordered the pancakes breakfast combo. The pancakes were beautiful, crispy on the edges, but when I cut into them and looked at the bottom, they were pale. The bacon was really good and they gave me the biggest glass of orange juice I've ever seen! My friend definitely enjoyed his omelette. He also got a mimosa, but it took a few reminders for the server to bring him another one. The grits were soupy and the eggs with cheese had one big slice of cheese semi melted on the top. I would probably go back and give them another try though, because some of the dishes were great. Also, I'll cut our server some slack because , again it was pretty crowded. read more

Today was our 2nd time coming here. Our 1st time visit was great but this time NOPE! Our food was okay. We ordered the buffalo tender wrap, buffalo tender, and kids chicken finger meal. Our food took so long to come out and my order which was the buffalo tenders was plain so our serve took it back to just put buffalo sauce on it which was not good compared to other buffalo sauced tenders I've had. Our server A (I don't wanna put her whole name) was good and friendly getting our orders but that stopped there. Not once she came by to ask how we were doing. We waited for a long time for refills on our drinks. She passed by many times serving other customers except us. She even came back and give the couple across from us refills but not once she looked at our table if we needed anything. I have watched the kitchen the whole time. I literally saw her just standing there looking at the monitor waiting for food to be ready but again not once she looked over our table to see how we were doing. I was frustrated. We were so thirsty to the point I asked one other server to get our server to get us refills. How about she came back and said "she said she's busy so I'll get you refills"!!! What???? I have never encounter something like this. It's like telling your boss "I'm busy I can't help you" and let other people do your job for you! Our drinks came. The server never went back to us until she was ready to give our check. She even made a comment "oh I'm sorry I heard your comment about me just standing there but I'm actually helping run out food." First off- the other server did not need to say that to her but secondly, she should not have said that to us. Because for ONE, the kitchen has clear windows so customers can see what's going on there. She literally stood there looking at the monitor waiting for food to be ready!!! And you're gonna tell the other server that you're busy so you can't give us refills? This was probably the worst experience I've had at any sit down restaurant! And most likely we won't be back! Upon arrival, they informed us there would be a 20-minute wait, so my wife immediately started looking for another place to eat, at least until she noticed they had very few tables. This is a breakfast place. Do not go here for lunch, unless they decide to revamp the menu. A BLT should have more than one slice of bacon broken up on each side. Manager was nice and tried to accommodate and rectify the situation but it was too late. Ordered fries for my sons meal and they came out with home fries and took about 20 minutes to come out with his fries when rest of meal was already eaten. Also kids meal came with one piece of bacon as well, not great for a kid meal they love bacon just like everyone. We have been here many times and usually not quiet busy but it is this morning the host said 25 minutes wait but only took 10 minutes so that was really good. TL:DR Food is good though overprice. Also service is horrible. I really wanted this location to be great because it's the closest to us. However, I gave this place 2-3 attempts and still continue to fail, even with the involvement of the manager Marlon. This was the last experience we've had: first trying to call ahead. I kept getting placed on hold, with no answer. The last call I did. I was placed on hold, and instead I said let me run and get gas and head to the restaurant. I get to the restaurant, the hostess (tiny Spanish lady) is answer the phone, then says please hold, and just puts the phone down. I asked for the manager, I meet Marlon. I explained what happened showed her my phone is still 'on hold' over 45 min. Marlon sarcastically/non empathetically says "I'm sorry for that, what do you want to order?" I placed my ordered, fairly size order, family of 6. I asked how long is the wait? She says give her 20 minutes. I said I'm going to run a couple errands and be back. I run to two different stores, 45 minutes later I come back. Was my food ready? Of course not! I asked for Marlon. Was there an apology? Of course not. All she kept saying was 'it's almost ready'. She comes out. Mind you we've ordered what we've ordered in the past. Again it's for 6 people. Often time it comes in 2 huge handled bags. Marlon comes out with a one single large-ish bag. I looked confused and look at Marlon. She was adamant "it's all there, I packed it myself". I state "no way it's all there. This is very light". I started taking everything out. I was missing multiple orders of pancakes, my Philly cheesesteak was missing, amongst some sides. She looks at me, grabs the bag and head towards the back before I could speak. At this point, I was so irritated I just wanted my money back. But Marlon walked away. She came back saying just a couple more minutes. At this point I said I no, unless you're going to compensate me for all this trouble I just want my money back. She says under her breath "this is a horrible experience" and I said unfortunately so. The other employee brings out the bags of food. Marlon takes it and says he doesn't want it. Processes my refund and takes the bag back. Again, no empathy, no professional consideration. I used to be management in food and beverage, she could have easily said, the foods here, I give you 10% off? Let me offer a coke? Something. But at the end got nothing but another bad experience. So, again, with the cost of their menu and for the experiences that we've encountered. I'm spending my hard earned money elsewhere. Sorry but not sorry. Maybe we'll try another location? I came here with a my family a couple of weeks ago and we had a wonderful experience! We got in at about 9AM and were seated right away. I love the ambiance inside of this location! It is filled with natural light and plays homage to nearby Atlantic Beach. We were promptly greeted by our server who was fantastic throughout our meal. He provided thoughtful recommendations and checked in every 10 min or so asking if we needed refills on our coffee. I had the scrambler bowl and chose peppers, mushrooms, and onions as my three vegetables. I was absolutely blown away by how BIG the serving was. WOW!!! It was smothered with cheese (I chose pepperjack) and also came with buttered toast. I ended up taking half home and eating it the next day. My husband got the Eggs Benedict which he really enjoyed and we got our soon the kid's combo meal. Our little one LOVED the pancakes!! The food was decent, but nothing great. The waitress we had was very very attentive, but the food was so slow coming out from the time back. We ordered and by the time we got our food was almost 35 minutes for eggs, bacon and sausage, coffee and the place was not crowded yet. The one thing I really have to say is that coffee was not hot at all. We told our waitress a couple of times about it and she said there wasn't much more she could do. Had breakfast on 5/4 and ordered eggs, bacon, and toast. The server, Brent, was wonderful, ensuring our coffees were refilled with HOT coffee and that our orders were correct. It seems like this location is experiencing some growing pains as the eggs and bacon were served hot, but the toast had to be redone so didn't come out with the hot food. Since I dip my toast in my egg yolk this wasn't ideal for me - obviously a kitchen and not a server issue! I'll wait a while before I return - hopefully they'll get their kitchen and QA under control. read more

Hmmm., what could be improved. Never had a chance to taste the food, I guess I cannot honestly answer the quality question. Speed of service versus accuracy. I guess they have a lot of ground to cover if they want to succeed. It cost my wife and I $8.59 for a lemonade and Dr.Pepper. After almost 40 minutes the food comes out (Carolina Salad and tuna melt). The salad was a side salad and not at all what my wife ordered. We returned both entrees and informed the server that we were done and leaving. The manager came and said they were training new staff but she was a woman with no excuses. I believe that was one. They insisted I pay for the drinks and that was arguably fine since over the course of 40 minutes we sipped them. Since my time is worth nothing to them and they would rather have me pay for two drinks rather than make it right I knew where we stood. They could care less. I believe that they will probably fold like the BBQ business before them and the pastry business before them. Slow service and inaccurate orders is not going to win any points with the prices they charge. $13.99 for a salad they cannot get right in the first place. Looked like a half chicken breast.
