We come to this Cracker Barrel maybe once a week and enjoy the food and store. Tonight the atmosphere was off very weird. Service was really slow we had our waitress come to us and tell us someone else was going to be our waitress because they were sending her home as we seen her the whole time helping other people while we ate. And our new waitress seemed like she was rushing us we were also missing food everything was very rushed we went in around 6:30-7pm. When we come in we order the same thing every time and every time we receive something a little different. I feel this has pushed us to no longer come in to this location. I've been to Cracker Barrel numerous times in my life but for some reason I've always just ordered off of the breakfast menu. And I don't know why, but this time I just wanted to try something different. And I'm so glad I did! We got the hashbrown casserole Shepherd's pie to share between two people adding two sides of dumplins and Mac and cheese. And with cornbread. Everything was so filling for the both of us, plus we had enough leftovers for another meal. The dumplins and mac and cheese are both always solid side options, so no surprises there that they were good. But I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved the casserole. The shepherds pie portion of it was amazing. The flavors were so rich, and all of the meat and carrots were so tender. Add more potato that's slightly crispy along with cheese and other toppings and it only gets better from there. The cornbread was kind of eh though. Not as good as they usually are. Idk if that's because of the location, or if it's because we were there later in the day from when we usually go. Service was also pretty decent. We got seated pretty immediately and it didn't take too long to get our orders in. But then beyond that, it can be kind of hard to flag your server down if you need something. read more

Came here for breakfast one morning alone. My server was very nice and attentive. It was chilly that morning and they had the fireplace on which was a great ambiance. I ordered their caramel iced latte. It was very good and sweet! I got the grandmas samplers that came with pancakes, a piece of bacon, ham, and sausage, eggs and a side( I got the hash browns). You know Cracker Barrel's are what they are. You're buying all that kitsch as much as anything else. The food is good, it's always the same. I can't say that the food is great, but it is good. It is consistent. They do have an entire store full of random stuff to look through while you're waiting because it's inevitable that you will be waiting to eat here. They have all the things that you never knew you needed until you looked at it including Candy that you haven't seen since you were a child. The service is always good, I feel like everybody that works. There has been working there for years. Everybody knows the menu and they know the drill and they efficiently get it done. The ambience is crowded and loud, but I guess that's what everybody expects in a place like this. I might come here once every couple years. Came to Cracker Barrel on Mother's Day morning, I was very delighted that they sat us so quickly for a party of five before the big rush came in. Parking was a breeze since they have their own lot and like I mentioned the wait time was very minimal and we were sat at a table quickly. Given the rush, I figured service might be a little bit slow, and that was OK. Our waitress brought us coffees and waters and soon after we all ordered. We waited an understandable amount of time for our food to come out and everything in our order came out correctly and mostly warm temps. Unfortunately, I am just not a huge fan of Cracker Barrels food overall. I ordered the country boy breakfast and was super underwhelmed by the small amount you get of the steak tips. The hashbrowns and scrambled eggs were flavorless, I was thankful for salt and pepper on this visit. The iced coffee was not good, and I probably should've just stuck with hot coffee. I don't like all the sugary fancy coffees so I simply asked for coffee iced, nothing added. She brought me that but it was filled with milky creamer and topped with whip cream so that was disappointing especially when I said just plain black iced coffee. The best part of the meal would have to be the biscuits and the pancakes, can't go wrong ordering either of those but the rest was not great. On what planet is toast that is soggy on one side and nicely toasted on the other considered good food? I know it is not a planet I want to inhabit yet that it is what I found at this Cracker Barrel yesterday morning. The rest of the food was bland, boring and sadly it is what I have come to expect from Cracker Barrel. It wasn't my idea to go here but the other people I was with didn't want to travel further to find a restaurant that serves food with some flavor. I do like the gift shops at Cracker Barrel but even there some of the prices are just plain outrageous. One example a fake metal sea turtle wall hanger (so super cheap quality) for $59.99. I couldn't believe my eyes. In fact before I put my glasses on I thought the tag said $9.99 which would be an okay price. But NO almost $60.00. I remember a time when Cracker Barrel served better food and everything came with a muffin the size of my hand. Now all the breakfast meals come with biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are not bad but the gravy is absolutely flavorless. And the only thing you can substitute is toast (which came out soggy on one side and toasted on the other. I hope I hear about a menu shake up soon because I will never be back to any Cracker Barrel again otherwise. We all work hard for our money and we want a good product for those hard earned dollars and you won't get it here. And by the way I think I am not alone because the place was almost empty on a holiday weekend peak breakfast time. I time and day it should have had wait list. I liked the peg game 250 birthday for USA game they had on each table but was super sad they had no 250 birthday items for sale and very few decorations. They did already have Halloween items up for sale. Oh yes must not forget our server which isn't easy because she was very forgettable. Everyone has been to Cracker Barrel at least one time in their life. What's new is that they're newly renovated, with new menu items, new design, and decor. You won't feel as much of the old Cracker Barrel country atmosphere, more of a fresh clean modern vibe with less walls and more seating options. Minimalistic decor, and design. This is a highly rated Cracker Barrel in my opinion for the type of restaurant that it is. It is a diner vibe but nicely done and the food is always good. Our waitress was excellent and very upbeat and professional. I did notice she had four stars on her apron, - some of you will know what that means and some of you won't. And if you don't, be sure to ask your next server! There are many new dishes on the menu as it has been revised and they also serve some alcohol options now. Their dessert menu is all new and the country store is now offering other additional items than it used to offer. You can always park right in front of the restaurant. They are usually located on major highways. Cracker Barrel serves breakfast lunch and dinner and you can pick from those options anytime of the day. It's always nice to go sit by the large fireplace on a cooler day or evening, if you're lucky enough to grab a table nearby. All the food was on par. The weight staff excellent and it was easy to check out. Go here for a casual dining experience, a variety of food options, shopping in the country store, and some great dessert! If you don't already know, Cracker Barrel is very popular for the clothing line that they carry inside the country store. I arrived at 9:23am with my Mom. The restaurant was not very busy which was a plus but our waitress had a terrible presence. Our coffee was extremely weak for $3.59, horrible, wasted a total of $7.18 on 2 coffees. The grits and eggs were barely warm and I asked for extra crispy hash browns and received barely cooked. Someone please tell me how this location is still in business. Walked in to eat and there were 3 young girls at the hostess counter. Not one greeted us, asked how many were in our party, or anything. I spoke up and said 2. That is when one of them asked, "Are there more than 2 in your party?" She sat us and our server came right over. She was great throughout and we placed our breakfast order. Then, we waited, and waited, and waited. Even had to ask if our food was coming out or if we should just leave. After waiting even longer, our food came out. Sort of. My breakfast came out in its entirety, and only part of my wife's came out. Again, we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, I asked for a manager. We he came over, there was no excuses and no apology. I might as well have talked to a wall. He clearly doesn't know how to manage a restaurant, or have any knowledge on customer service. My daughter wanted French toast yesterday for lunch. I was hesitant because of bad past experiences but we went to Cracker Barrel anyway. She loved her lunch. Mine on the other hand was horrible. I ordered hamburger patty and gravy, turnip greens, mashed potatoes biscuits. The mystery meat was horrible. Taste, texture, everything. Mashed potatoes fine. Could not eat greens. Biscuits were rocks. Server was excellent. If you don't get the food fixed you're not going to make it. Place was nearly empty. ITS THE GARBAGE FOOD YOURE SERVING. It use to be consistent and great. I visited this Cracker Barrel after picking someone up from the airport, so we arrived around 8 PM. With it being this late, I figured the restaurant would not be too busy, which it wasn't. We were seated and it took almost 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. When our waitress did, she apologized and said she didn't see us, despite us being seated out in the open. I ordered the Barrel Bite Trio which consisted of country fried pickles, white cheddar cheese bites, and the biscuit beignets. Plus I ordered the Homestyle Chicken N'French Toast. All of the food tasted great, especially the chicken and french toast with the little bottle of maple syrup. It's typical Cracker Barrel food: hard to go wrong. Went yesterday with my family hoping to have an enjoyable meal and see the new changes together. We looked around the shop before getting seated and planned to purchase from the shop after we ate. Well service was less then fair overall. The problem started when we ordered 2 of the 10oz steaks with grilled shrimp cooked medium also asked for chicken and dumplings to go and my husband ordered a breakfast meal but she wasn't sure how many sides it came with so she had him choose 2 but asked what his main choice was in case it's only one. Our waitress was nice said she would bring the dumplings out when we were ready to leave along with feeling the drinks and bring everything at a good time, until the steaks came out . She put it down for the New York strip with fried shrimp I said to her it's was supposed to be grilled shrimp and I passed her both fried shrimp. she was gone for a while checking to see IF she could correct it in that time we see our steaks had been cooked well done not medium (tasted more like a liver then a New York strip) and bland. Steak sauce would have been nice and my husband needed ketchup . We all ate about a third of our meal when she came back to tell us there would be a up charge for the other shrimp and we could keep the fried shrimp no charge I said Ok that's fine and asked for ketchup and gave the shrimp to my father in law .A long while later she brings boiled shrimp sloped in 2 bowls with juice and says I'm sorry I'm not sure if its supposed to look like that,grilled I don't know . I'm like are you kidding that's not grilled no skewer ,not charred, and sitting in a broth at this point . While she was at the table my daughter and I tried it and said yeah no not for us yuck. she never brought ketchup for my husband ,drinks ran empty while waiting for a part of our meal which was a waste of time and money, and she brings the bill I look over it and asked for the dumplings she said oh and leaves again . When comes back she says I didn't put it on your bill I said ok never mind then that's fine.She said no I didn't put on your bill and I didn't know we are out of the dumplings , sorry . Awesome service! The line yo be seated moves quickly. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and professional. Our server, Karen, was quick to respond and knowledgeable about the menu. Haley was our waitress and she is AMAZING. We enjoyed hot pot-roasts, salads, and smokey grilled chicken. Our meals were all delicious and hot. We have had a very busy long driving day (13+ hours driving), and when we got to Cracker Barrel for dinner we were tired & grumpy. Due to the holiday season cracker barrel was also pretty busy. I love visiting Cracker Barrel restaurants when traveling. Very family style welcoming and same set up in most locations with Rocking chairs outside and checkers table game inside or outside the restaurant. Each restaurant have a nice country store that is very tempting before dining and after dining. I came here on a Friday morning and it wasn't that busy surprisingly. Me and my boyfriend was able to get seated immediately. My server was Macy and she was kind and attentive. We didn't like how our pancakes came out cold. We kinda figured it when the food came out in a blink of an eye. She took our food back and deducted one meal off the tab. I ordered three pancakes and a side of pancake and their seasonal peach tea which was very delicious. I returned here on the following day but for a to go order instead. I wasn't pleased on the amount of time I had to stand around and wait for someone to bring my to go order. I literally had to flag down one of the workers and asked them about the status of my order. I have always enjoyed Cracker Barrel for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it is a very neat restaurant with an old country store that sells unique products and vintage candy for the children. It's a Cracker Barrel, so what do you want? It's close to the freeway, there's tons of parking, and they will give you a to-go drink so that you have something for the road. As someone who is following a low carb diet, Cracker Barrel doesn't have much that I can eat. Most items on the menu are breaded or covered in gravy. But they do have a country ham steak (choose the non-honey option) and some sides that are just meat/veggies. The kids menu has decent selections, and while they have "usual" side pairings, you can opt to let your kids eat sides other than fried tots. Props to them for having crayons and an activity book for the kids, plus the peg game at the table. No, this is not where a person goes to be blown away with culinary genius, but on a road trip, this is a good alternative to fast food. read more

My my my my my, that is some southern sweet blackberry tea. It's so good going down, you don't realize after 3 cups you just sent yourself into a sugar coma! The stores are always great, and fun to look in. I will say the host was not friendly at all. I asked how she was, and she didn't respond. Asked how many at your table? She seated me and I said thank you very much and she looked at me and walked away. Maybe she was having a bad day, or hard of hearing. I will give the benefit of the doubt, but not used to that kind of hospitality at Cracker Barrel. We got the French toast meal and 2 sweet teas and it was $21, plus a tip. Good food, the waiter was good and bringing food, and making sure my tea was filled. She looked busy. We waited about 45 minutes or so for our food. Another table of three got their food before us, with one of the orders the same as us. But over all, the service was just ok. Portion size is a good size. Clean bathrooms. Clean restaurant.
