The receipt showing I paid for the black coffee they tried to say they "gave me" because they did not have the iced latte.
    MAYRA A.

Driving from Texas to Florida stayed Nextdoor at the hotel and decided to place an order on line. I got the pancakes, two eggs and added fresh strawberries to my order with a black coffee. Husband got some plate with the iced brown sugar latte. My husband picked up our food to bring it back to the hotel. Arrived with a note on the receipt stating latte machine broken. I called to ask if the refund would just be returned to my credit card. A lady with a little spice said "well we gave you a free black coffee" Ummm no ma'-am. I ordered that....additionally, do not compare a plain black drip coffee with an iced brown sugar latte. Told me I had to call the number for yelp/help (S/O to yelp for giving g me a refund on that coffee). I opened my pancakes and found the "trash strawberries" anything but fresh, disappointed absolutely disgusting soggy soft, moldy/rotting strawberries. I tried to scrape them off and ate one pancake the one on the bottom that had been exposed to the disgusting strawberries the least. Also food was barely lukewarm.

Yes, this is a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Don't be confused by the Cracker Barrel Convenience Store nearby. I made it early enough that they were still open so yes, I finally got that dinner after staying in a dozen Cracker Barrel parking lots overnight and not eating. Yes, Cracker Barrel tolerates RVers in their lot overnight and they would like us to, but don't require, purchase a meal. For dinner this evening, I let the waitress talk me into the roast beef dinner with two sides (mac & cheese and broccoli) and I overheard later that there was some sort of internal promotion on them. Fine by me, this was a decent meal with a few slices of thing sliced beef in a light gravy. Tasty and filling, it was served quick, hot and correctly. The store was full of the stuff the store is always filled with, the restrooms were decently clean, and I spent a quiet night in my RV in a corner of the parking lot. Five stars! I was craving the biscuits and gravy and turkey sausage from cracker barrel. I have not been to a cracker barrel in a couple of years and after celebrating July 4th with family, I wanted to go back to the basics, Skip the frills of other brunch and breakfast spots and, go to cracker barrel. Cracker barrel has changed a bit since my last visit as a now serve mimosas and they have removed to Turkey sausage from their menu. I ordered the Old Timers Breakfast which comes with protein, eggs, biscuits & gravy and your starch option. A basket of biscuits were brought out for the table But I chose not to indulge in order to wait for the biscuits and gravy that came with my meal. When my mail came out, I did not have my biscuits and gravy. I mentioned it to the server who seemed surprised that I wanted it.... The interaction was odd but, she did end up bringing it out to me. I had my 101 year old grandma with me who enjoyed her Grandma's Breakfast meal. The mimosa was okay. Due to a misunderstanding between my table and the server, we ended up with a pitcher of peach mimosa. It was ok but, definitely more juice than champagne

Nice waitress & great service. We ordered the cheesecake pancakes- yummy- they were huge & tasty. The chicken fried steak was fresh & good. We enjoyed the biscuits & cornbread. Place wasn't busy but all was very good.

Don't think Cracker Barrel has changed much over the last 20 years. It's good, constant. No complaints for this location. Friendly and fast.

Friendly employees, good food, clean restaurant. Lots of parking. The only complaint was that I think the chicken was not put in with the dumplings until right before it was served as it was watery and had no flavor. The fried okra was amazing.

Our server made us feel very welcome and at home as if we had just arrived at grandmas house for a home cooked meal. (Seriously) definitely will be back!

Visit this establishment for brunch after church and it was amazing. It reminds me of the old days when I was a little girl. This store has a Country field. So much of things from the past in this store. They have toys and candies from back in the day that you can't find in local stores. I ordered the the grandmas breakfast which consist of two pancakes, two eggs, bacon, sausage and ham. I also added grits. Everything was good. The pancakes were delicious and you can till they were homemade. I would definitely return again when in the area!

The pork chop was cooked perfectly. It was juicy, incredibly tender, and honestly tender enough to cut with a fork. It had a great char from the grill that added so much flavor, and the pickled peppers on top cut through the richness of the pork perfectly. The dirty rice underneath reminded me of my mom's rice dressing and soaked up all the juices from the chop. It was one of the best pork chop dishes I've had. My wife ordered the smoke fried chicken, and it was also excellent. The crust was crispy while the chicken stayed juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato biscuits were light and delicious, and the pepper honey tied everything together nicely. For my taste, it leaned just a little on the sweet side, but it was still a very enjoyable dish. My daughter ordered the Social Cheeseburger with just meat and cheese. She loved it, and I was impressed too. Even with such a simple order, the burger was juicy, well seasoned, and served on a fantastic bun. She and my wife both could not stop talking about the hand cut fries. They were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and some of the best fries we've had in a while. From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. We left very impressed and will definitely make a point to stop here whenever we are in the Lafayette area.

More specifically their flatbreads and loaded fries, which I do not currently see on their website. Most of the time they have loaded fries which in the past have consisted of gravies and sauces. One preparation we ordered came with pickled okra. The fried green tomatoes are also very good, especially to start with or share. As far as main dishes go we have tried the following: All Hail Caesar (Flatbread) Spicy Chicken Sandwich Smoke Fried Chicken-N-Biscuits Social Cheeseburger The Mac n Cheese is a must get as a side in my opinion. One of the first times we visited they had carrot cake as a dessert, we still talk about that carrot cake today. If you are a sweet tea lover this place has a twist which I love. Their sweet contains brown sugar and mint, get it, try it, it's delicious.

This may have been part of the reason its wasn't all that busy on a Tuesday lunch. Similar to some other restaurants in Louisiana I've visited, they have a side with a bar, to-go area and high tops, and a more family oriented side of the restaurant with a bunch of low top tables. Fried pork rinds are served with every table. They have daily plate lunches and the one day I came it was chicken fried steak. However, it's not usually a good idea to order CFS outside of Texas in my experience. Therefore, I ended up ordering the catfish and shrimp platter, served grilled instead and added a $5 strawberry margarita. The entree comes with a side salad but they only have seelct dressings and none which I would typically order, so i just settled on honey mustard. Margarita- for only $5 it's not bad and comes with either sugar or salt rim Catfish and shrimp platter - seasoned with a blackened seasoning but it wasn't spicy. The catfish filet was small and tasted like it was previously frozen. The shrimp were also small and didn't taste much better. Not sure I'd return if ever in Lafayette, as I was really looking for a more festive environment and more grilled options.

Or that they argued with the amazing manager for nearly an hour total after being told they couldn't accommodate that size party. They're also leaving out the part where people from their group marched in and seated themselves, stood over occupied tables waiting for guests to leave, insisting the hosts clean the tables, and made the entire restaurant uncomfortable. This had nothing to do with race and everything to do with behavior. Any group acting like that would've gotten the exact same response. In short, do better. Y'all came in and ruined everyone's dinner because y'all don't know how to plan ahead. Stop blaming people for your mistakes and take accountability.
