Staff was overwhelmed. Foods as mediocre and the restrooms needed help. I started out good enough we were seated, got coffee and placed our order. It went downhill: it took almost 30 minutes to get our food, the condiments never arrived and the food was just ok. Ladies room was out of toilet paper and needed attention. This location is VERY close to my house, so we pop in on a fairly regular basis. I love that they have comfort foods no matter what time of day we're eating. Enjoy being able to sit by the fire when cooler weather comes to town. Staff is always very friendly and food just what we expect. read more

Awesome gift shop with a variety of things to buy friendly waiters, fast service. Must try the rib platter, only $10! And these ribs actually have some meat on them. Rocking chairs out front and many checkers tables to pass the time with family or friends. Nice country food and decor, hence the name of the restaurant. Must visit! read more

There is nothing more frustrating than being harassed in a business. Maybe CB is having financial issues, but paying customers should be allowed to stand in the store, while waiting for a table, without being pushed to the point of having to hide and/or lose their temper and turn rude. Two employees were put on "aggressive" duty in the store. I felt like I was in Rio again surrounded by street kids begging for money. It was a sad display and one employee kept picking up stuffed animals and bringing them over to me, telling me how much my son needed one bc they were a low $9.99, she even flipped the tag over and put it in my face. This woman would not stop following us around. It was getting so bad, I made my family perch next to the hostess stand, and stare at the hostess until she finally decided to seat us. Our server was mid way through lunch rush and had already mentally checked out, to the point where another server stepped in. The second server made things worse. She forgot to put in my husbands order. We all had completely finished our meals and were just sitting there with empty plates and the restaurant was practically empty by the time my husband got his meal! There was no apology, no "let me comp your meal bc we messed up"...nothing. The second server, avoided us, the original server was like, "I didn't do it, it was her." And to add insult to injury, there was a long light colored hair in his food. At this point, leaving a 15% tip was an insult to us and we just wanted to leave and cont on to Orlando. To make sure we absolutely NEVER wanted to come back....the cashier would not stop peddling merchandise to my husband while he was attempting to pay! I told my kids, we can't do it anymore. My dad and I were on a father-son road trip. First a stop at the Stu Pacquette Tractor Museum in Leesburg, then on to Ocala for lunch at Sonny's BBQ and a visit to the Don Garlits Drag Racing Museum. After checking in at the local Hampton Inn, it was time for dinner. It's a road trip, so re-living the old days at Cracker Barrel seemd to make a lot of sense. Evertything looks as it did years ago, and as it does across the chain of Cracker Barrel establishments. Everything on this trip was going perfectly, until our meals arrived. The look on my dad's face said it all when the server delivered the most disgusting, fat-riddled roast beef I've ever seen. Surely the server saw the look on his face, and he certainly saw how bad the food looked. The plate never should have left the kitchen. Shame on the cook for plating that hunk of fat and gristle, and shame on the server for not rejecting the plate. When the server returned to the table, all my dad had eaten was the potato, the "meat" clearly inedible. Surely the server saw the problem, yet with a smile asked how we liked our meals. Really? My dad politely told the server that the roast beef was an inedible hunk of fat and gristle. To be fair, the server did ask what he could do to make it better, but it was already too late. My dad was disappointed and the euphoria of an exciting day on the road was ruined. Then the check arrives. You'd think the server would have taken the roast beef off the bill, but no there it is. We werent looking for a free "meal" anyway, so we left a ti an went to the counter to pay. We just wanted to get out of there. The cashier asked how everything was, and my father again politely responded that the roast beef was a blob of fat and was inedible. So now you'd think the cashier might take the roast beef off the bill, right? Nope. Instead he asks if we'd like to pick out a free peice of candy! Seriously? We're not looking for free food, we're looking for a decent meal, or at least an edible one. So Cracker Barrel Corporate Management please take note: A cook who couldn't care less about the food put out, a clueless server, and a cashier untrained in service recovery just cost you a couple of customers at the very least, and perhaps a few more depending on how this review is received. read more

This restaurant was found during a stopover in a local hotel in Ocalla Florida. I have eaten at many Cracker Barrel's all over the country and the one thing that I like about the most is their consistency of food. This Cracker Barrel as most of them is designed the same with the same layouts and merchandise. The meal that we had was chicken fried chicken which was the special for the day. I found that the chicken fried chicken was larger in size and the quality and quantity of the food was a little better than some of the other restaurants in the Cracker Barrel chain. The service was excellent and the staff I talked to were friendly and willing to talk about the store and the local area. One of the things that I was interested in was the dragster museum located next-door to the restaurant. The one employee gave me a really good description of the museum and the details to allow me to visit the next day. read more

Great food but the waiter made it awesome. Ask for Daniel he give supper service. My wife's food was ready first so he brought to her rather than letting it get cold while mine was being prepared. Always Fantastic Food, Excellent Service, Consistently Delicious! Fabulous meal (breakfast & lunch served at noon) even when the restaurant is busy there is no delay in seating, ordering, getting beverages, and when meal is served. Manager checking on every patron, pitching in when necessary, so pace & temperature of food are exactly correct. Attentive waite staff, polite and professional. My wife and I ate there the other day I ordered the country fried steak, but received the chicken fried steak.(I was half way finished when I remembered what I ordered) My wife ordered the chicken fried steak with a sweet potato and the tomato cucumber n' onion salad. The waitress came back and told her they were out of the salad and asked for another side. When she got here dinner she had a baked potato, and was told they are out of the sweet potatoes and was not given the opportunity to select a different item. This Cracker Barrel location is tip-top. I first visited this location on St. Patrick's Day (2017) and had a positive interaction with the then-Manager. Since then, I have been back five times. I am so impressed with everything at this location--friendly staff and management, hot food, excellent service, and store cleanliness. It is such a pleasure in this day and age to frequent a restaurant that still believes in the old-fashioned values of excellent customer service. The new Manager is just as good as the one who recently changed to the SR200 location. The servers and cashiers have also been exceptional. On this last visit, 04/24/17, Sandra C. took care of me. She is knowledgeable, pleasant, friendly, smiling, accurate, and efficient. She also demonstrates a sincere desire to provide her customers with an exceptional dining experience. As a former Office Manager, I believe Sandra C deserves a raise and a promotion. If I was still working, I'd hire her in a heartbeat! I hope she becomes "Employee of the Year".
