Absolutely the worst Cracker Barrel experience in the last 25 years. Our meal took 45 minutes to finally come. Ordered 3 items yesterday and the mobile app gave a time of less than 30 minutes for pickup. 45 minutes and I am still waiting, mine was the only Togo order I saw. I want to start by saying thank you to the amazing staff at this location. The manager Tiffany and our server Louisa were absolutely phenomenal. I love Cracker Barrel but this location sucked. The staff was not friendly at all, they forgot part of my order and when I went to retrieve the missing items they had a stink attitude. The food was subpar and it took an hour to get a to-go order. The Ham was decent, the coleslaw was definitely skimpy, the fried pickles were good but salty and their ranch is veryyy salty as well. The Chicken Salad was enjoyable though. The gift shop had some really cool stuff but other than that I'd go to a different location if anything because Cracker Barrel is always a decent place for food when your on the interstate and not looking to spend a lot just not this one. read more

Food: Unfortunately it seems like the quality at Cracker Barrel has gradually declined. We still like going but they have changed some things from the menu over the years which we actually miss. For example, they no longer offer fresh Apple Cider Ambiance: Nothing to mention. Standard antique laden dinning area and gift shop. It's typically busy which is good for business. Service: This is where they shine. Service is typically pretty good. I can't recall ever having bad service. The workers definitely deserve to have higher wages. Good people that balance a lot and lead with a good attitude. Overall: Not happy with menu changes and it seems like corporate has been reducing the quality of their products. The service however is still keeping this place in our thoughts when choosing a place to eat. Recommend using whatever they saved from reducing quality that they give to your employees that are keeping them afloat. read more

I am guessing this business is like most others dealing with staff shortages as it took a longer than normal time after we were seated before the server came to the table. Probably one of the slowest restaurants in the Continental United States. Had to stop here while traveling and wish I hadn't. The restaurant was not even busy and it took 2 1'2 hours to get the food which was completely wrong. I would not recommend coming here! read more

We stopped at this Cracker Barrel while we were traveling. I think they were very understaffed because there was a long wait but open tables. Since we have been on the road we were OK with a longer wait and enjoy the store. We had a very nice waitress when we were seated. My son love that he could get breakfast for lunch. I had the salad and sweet potato combo which was very good. Overall not a bad Cracker Barrel hopefully they will have more stuff in the future so you do not have to wait a long time. read more

I've been an undercover fan of Cracker Barrel for years. They've always gotten a tough rep from certain folks, but yeah... I still like the tasty food options at a reasonable price. My friend and I were recently in Rocky Mount, NC on Thanksgiving evening with few dining choices, but the Barrel came through! Of course, the wait was longer, as it was a holiday. We both ordered the Thanksgiving dinner - turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans and pumpkin pie. The turkey, dressing and green beans were fine, not fantastic. As I had been driving all day (spouse can't make it out of the driveway without maneuvering a wrong turn), I was tired, and as several bourbon cocktails had somehow slithered down my throat, I didn't want to go far. Fortunately there was a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store within easy walking distance. I've always found Cracker Barrels pleasant places to eat. The food has sort of an old time wholesome something to it though put together by someone with exceptionally limited culinary skills. But that is sort of in keeping with what I'd call the West Virginia Holler décor of the place. For my meal I had their turkey special with cranberry, mash and gravy along with a side of breaded and fried okra. The turkey came out rather decent. The fried okra on the other hand, to be nice about it, was less than delicious; and that is a lot less. We were driving through from DC to NC, and stopped here with the family for dinner. We went to the hostess stand and they said "we're just turning over a table; we will call you in a few when your table is ready." This would lead one to believe you'll be seated momentarily. You'd be mistaken. Perhaps this is the new Covid timetable. "Call you in a few" and "we are turning over your table" means 45 minutes. The natives were getting restless. The 6-ft social distancing in the general store area was getting harder and harder to adhere to as the crowd waiting for a table at dinner hour got bigger and bigger. The wait list was 6 parties, mostly 4-tops, and they were soon quoting an hour wait. Just before my kids feigned faint from hunger or resorted to eating their face masks, we were led into the dining area. And it was practically empty. They were seating every other table against the perimeter of the room, none in the middle, in accordance with CDC guidelines. No wonder it took an hour to seat a party of 5. Once seated, it didn't pick up from there. For only having a few tables, it was clear they staffed B team on this Saturday night. We placed our order, and it took another 25-30 for food. Not the lightning speed I've experienced at other CB's in the past. I asked if we could get our biscuits first to tie us over, and they said the cook was just rolling the dough to make some. Mind you, nearly every item on the menu comes with biscuits so you'd think they'd have them churned out assembly line style, or at least have a surplus ready to go. Our server said "if they're not done by the time you finish eating, I can box some up to go for you." Thank you, but I really was hoping to get them as part of my meal as described on the menu. When the meal arrived, it was satisfactory. Nothing to write home about. The sides were particularly sub-par. The grits were cold with the breakfast entree, the steak fries varied in cook-through and temp, the kids Mac n Cheese came with a nice chunk of burnt cheese, the dumplin side was all cream gravy and literally 2.5 dumplings, the cole slaw was not fresh and very limp and soggy. Other sides we ordered failed to appear. Asking for a packet of Splenda took 10 minutes to arrive, at which point the drink was near finished. I don't like to write unsatisfactory reviews, and I'm actually fairly patient and flexible when I see staff working hard but just getting slammed with customers. But this was a near-empty dining area, a shoulder to shoulder waiting area, a skeleton crew of staff, and the B team of wait staff and kitchen staff. Upon seeing the steady stream of to-go orders coming out, perhaps that may have been the better move. Also, one thing to mention for anyone using the restroom and trying to be cautious about germs, everything is manual. The faucet is manual turn on/off, the soap dispenser, paper towel dispenser, etc. Not a big deal normally, but it was difficult to keep clean germ-free hands without the hands-free options available at many public restrooms. read more

We actually ended up walking out before getting our food, because after 50 minutes of sitting at the table, we had been given nothing but our drinks, 6 biscuits, and plastic cutlery.
