It was probably the worst service I have ever had here. My wife had to go up to the bar to get my nephew a water that she didn't bring till after. They had been sitting there for over 15 minutes. Then we got our food and had no silverware. I had to go back up to the bar to get our silverware to even eat. We are locals and we have came here for awhile and brought family from out of town here. I will no longer suggest anyone else to come here if this is the service we get. The only thing to save the trip was how nice the bartender was and apologized for the service. read more

Visited Conway and ran across this restaurant. My friend and I ordered the loaded nachos for an appetizer, wings in 2 flavors garlic Parmesan and hottyaki, and a cheeseburger. The loaded nachos were apparently never placed into order but we did receive our entrées correctly. The wings were pleasant, hottyaki (a mixture of hot and teriyaki sauce) was my favorite. The juicy burger was cooked perfect. We had to ask on two separate occasions for refills and when we did ask our waitress continued to walk away so we were basically yelling for drinks across the room. Well..if you like bars with sticky floors, this is the place for you. Had a hankering for a reuben. Saw a review about "the best reuben I've ever had." Whoever you are, you need to visit Bistro 217 in Pawleys Island. They slow cook their own corned beef. Don't use that thin.sliced pastrami!! Oh and you don't have to ask where the restrooms are. The closer you get your nose will direct you right to them. Stalls built of unfinished chipboard and cheap bolt locks. But they did have some of the best home chips I've ever had. Bev was our waitress and she was a breath of fresh air! She was even so sweet she ran out to give us our box of food we forgot. She was the type of person that restores your faith in humanity. Nice, quaint pub in Conway. Locals, so we are always looking for a different place to get a samich and a cold beer. Place was pretty dull, both the bar and tables when we arrived, around six in the evening or so. Found a nice table along the bar, and was promptly waited on. I can't remember the nice ladies name, but she was very informative on both the food selection, as well as the beers. Both in bottles and on tap. Nice selection, although they didn't have any IPAs on tap. That's the only reason I am giving four stars instead of five. I told our waitress I am an Ipa snob, and she knew exactly what she had in can or bottle. The wife ordered wings, I ordered a Rueben. Both were delicious and hot, very satisfying. Nice atmosphere, a nice place to have a good sandwich and at the same time have a conversation because it is not to loud. Nice visit, we will return. the food is what I would call a higher class of typical bar fare. The wings are good but not great. the reuben is terrific. The burgers are good but not exceptional . the homemade chips are certainly delicious. The craft beer selection is not up to snuff to have the word craft in the name title. Only a smattering of craft beers and nothing like the grumpy monks, tap house, bumsteads choices. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Seems like nice people. Prices are fair and about what you would expect to pay. Would love to see more Craft beer added and one stand out signature item on the menu or two. It's a bar with pub food. You've seen the decor 1000 times; jerseys, tvs, less atmosphere than a typical Applebee's. The food was better than expected, but I didn't expect much. They seem to make their own potato chips, which is a nice touch. Those were fresh and tasty. My wife had a chicken fingers wrap which she quite liked, I had a good-sized burger that was pretty good. Let me be blunt- if you're looking for good food, skip the Crafty Rooster. If you're looking for mediocre food and the slowest service around, this is your place. This past fall, I went with a large group of colleagues for lunch at the Rooster. We all put our orders in and then waited nearly 45 minutes for our food. It took so long we all ended up being late for our meeting. When my chicken quesadilla finally came, it tasted like it had been made 5 minutes after I ordered it and then sat under a heat lamp for 40 minutes. It was nearly inedible. We all vowed not to ever go back. I should have stuck to my vow, but tonight a group of friends decided to go to the Rooster and I thought, what the heck. Maybe we caught them on a bad day last time. Suffice it to say the second visit was at least as bad. Once again, our simple bar food orders took the better part of an hour to come, despite the fact that the place was far from busy. And once again, the food was average at best (veggie burger) and inedible at worst (nachos). I can confidently say that visiting this place is not a mistake I will make a third time. read more

She had to have had rolled her eyes at every single one of us at the table after simple favors like: "can I actually just get the nachos instead of the cheese fries?". One of the poorest dining experiences we have ever had. At our suggestion, four other couple joined us for dinner after a show in downtown Conway. Nothing went right. We waited way too long for seating. It was not that busy at the time. The waiter seemed to be distracted and took forever to take just the drink order. The appetizers were wrong and they came out about 30 seconds before the totally confusing dinners. Nothing was as ordered. No sense of urgency to make it right. Seemed as though there was no manager on duty and the inmates were in charge of the asylum. We have never returned nor have our friends. read more

This restaurant hasn't been open too long, I think under two weeks when I ate there. On a whim I stopped for dinner there the other night. It wasn't terribly busy but for a brand new business there were a decent number of people there. It's got a standard bar + restaurant layout, nice open layout. I had the reuben sandwich, which was OK, nothing stellar. The pasta salad on the side had a nice flavor but was pretty chewy. If you like it al dente, this is great for you. We bought are house 5 yrs ago here in Conway and not having cable right away we had to fine a sports bar for football so we tried the rooster and it was great we are bears fans so they put the bears on one of the TVs for us with no prob. So with them treating us like we like to be treated the rooster is one of are favorite places to go and like every one says the burger are really good and the choice of beers is great. read more

It's a good thing their food is great! Our server, Laikyn, was not very good. Nice enough to get by but lackluster in overall personality. She lacked on any sense of timing or ability to multi task. When one of our orders came out missing bacon, she greeted and conversed with other tables and then cleaned two tables before coming over to tell us that the kitchen had sent the bacon cheeseburger out without bacon because they were out and cooking more. This would have been nice if someone to communicate when the food was delivered, not to mention my food had bacon on it when it was dropped at the table. Cozy little sports bar with an enormous selection of beers. If you can't find something to drink here, then you're too much of a beer snob to be out in public anyway. Food is decent. Nothing outrageous, just your typical small-town Southern fare at fairly reasonable prices. When we were there, service was incredibly slow. It seemed like the few servers they had were all college girls who were on their very first waitressing job ever. They were super nice and friendly, but extraordinarily slow. My wife had chicken bog (a traditional rice, chicken, and sausage dish), I had Buffalo wings, and my daughter got chicken strips. Average quality, but remember, this is a brewhouse more than it is a restaurant. As long as you consider that when ordering food, you won't leave disappointed. Originally stopped in Conway for another restaurant recommended highly on Yelp and were turned away (they said they didn't seat for lunch after 2 but the hostess looked suspiciously at our casual vacation attire.) Were sorely disappointed because we didn't want "bar food" and were pleasantly surprised.
