Went here on Saturday afternoon after a family tour of Coastal Carolina and a little Myrtle Beach fun. My family andd I were nervous as there were not many people inside and we almost turned around. Thank goodness we didn't! We had the nachos for an appetizer. They were a bit watery but overall, packed with flavor and ingredients. I sampled and ended up choosing the Chicken Bog for an entree. Tasty, tasty. The large plate was enough to fill me up and eat again for that night's dinner. Good job Crafty Rooster. If the little one chooses Coastal, we will be back! read more

This place is amazing. we were in Conway for business and didn,t know were to eat lunch . we had a coupon book and looked it up so we took a chance. The food was fantastic I had the Mac and Cheese with chicken and bacon. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich. both were out of this world. We will be back soon. read more

Myself and a group of friends ordered over 6 meals for lunch from Crafty Rooster today. They are nice enough to deliver to local businesses so we intended on delivery. However we were paying with a $100 gift card and our total order was $101 and some change. So I asked if we could pay the $100 over the phone with the gift card. I gave the card number twice and the lady said her machine was old and she would have to swipe the card to collect payment. Ok, no problem. I told her we would just pick the orders up and pay in person. So our friend went to Crafty Rooster to pick up our food with the intention of paying $1 and some change. The bartender swiped the gift card and said it wouldn't go through so she tried to do it in multiple payments. I must reiterate that this was a standard MasterCard $100 gift card--she proceeded to swipe the card for $50, then $25 then $5, for a total of $80. She said our card was declined after the last transaction. So our friend had to pay $20...and out of shear generosity gave a $5 cash tip. So after a little investigating with the website attached to our giftCard I learned the bartender added a tip to each transaction. The $50 charge she added a $10 tip, the $25 charge she added a $5 tip, the $5 charge she added a $1. That's a $16 tip that was added unbeknownst to us. Not to mention the $5 cash tip that was given. We were not served at the restaurant, our food was not delivered as initially planned. But this bartender received a $21 tip at her own will. When confronted Over the phone the bartender aka assistant manager stated she did not do this. Ok? So we are all confused how this actually took place. Needless to say, the Crafty Rooster has lost our weekly business for good. read more

After multiple trips over the past few months here I feel confident in giving a very positive review. The Crafty Rooster is a good 50 minute drive one way for me but I love beer and someone here chooses their (14, I think) taps carefully. They are also very good about keeping the draft selections updated on their facebook home page. I've always been with friends or my wife and another couple so have gotten to try a lot of the food here or at least see some items on the menu and hear firsthand feedback. All the Starters I've tasted are great and I would definitely order again, favorites are the Bleu Cheese Chips and Homemade Pimento Cheese Dip. They have boneless and regular Wings with plenty of dry rubs / sauces to choose from that have always been served hot and crisp. I enjoy a good Burger and they do a very good job here with theirs, offered up plenty of creative ways (even a Black bean Veggie) served on excellent, toasted Brioche buns. I have not personally had the Chicken Salad Club or Ragin Rooster sandwich but others with me have and said they were delicious. They all come with choice of Hand-cut fries (my favorite), Homemade chips, Pasta or Potato salad. They also have some very good drink and food specials during Happy Hour (4-7 PM). As far as bar food goes I'd give Crafty Rooster a 4 . The food was good and fresh ,topping on my burger were nice and fresh, the server very friendly and accommodating. Well, needless to say, I won't be back anytime soon. Two months ago, during the 25% maximum seating mandate, the place was jammed. Only one 4 top available. The bar sides were jammed as well. Not an empty seat, and absolutely no social distancing. I had ordered wings as a take out. They were absolutely tasteless and a complete waste of my money. I posted an email to their web site and never got a response. They obviously don't care about the government mandates, mask usage or social distancing. Obviously flaunting their hometown muscle. Used to love going there for a burger, wings, salad or sandwich with a cold draft, but that's never going to happen again. If you enjoy listening to radio pop from the 2000s you barely liked then instead of the game on TV, this is the place for you. Unfortunately I don't love Michelle Branch enough to tolerate sitting here for long. Horrible horrible horrible!!! Service was SLOW!! We stopped here for lunch. It was clean typical looking sports bar. There were about 5 other tables in the restaurant but we opted to sit at the bar. We ordered a bowl if chili which was sent out to us cold twice. 2 shrimp po boys, they were supposed to be served with chipolte mayo but had to ask for this and silverware. On top of that we had to tell the server that one of us was missing the side of pasta salad that was supposed to be served with our sandwiches. The server avoided us like we were the plague. What she assumed is we were just some red neck couple sitting at her bar for lunch because we were dressed in our motorcycle T-Shirts and jeans. But her loss because we both work in the restaurant buisness and if we would have gotten the service then she would have gotten more of a tip regardless of the food. read more

Best Sports Bar located in historic downtown Conway, SC. They have a lovely selection of craft beers that changes at least weekly. The bartenders are always very nice and attentive. Sports bars are not my typical hangout but this place is close to home for me. I would also consider myself more of a wine drinker than beer. With that said, here we go. I stopped in on a Friday evening after work because I had just dealt with a 12 hour day and a beverage was in order. The place was busy which is always a good sign. It's easy to identify this place a popular local hangout when you walk in. It has great atmosphere and it gives off a friendly vibe. I sat at the bar and the bartender showed up within seconds. She was very courteous and answered my questions about the beer menu. I made a choice and asked if the kitchen was still open (this was about 9 pm). It was. Before she could return with my beer and a menu, another bartender checked in to see if I had been helped. Great service. The menu was impressive with plenty of choices. I ordered a burger but I ordered it different than it was described on the menu. The burger arrived very quickly and it was exactly how I wanted it. The temp was perfect (medium) and the presentation was great. The house chips were a real treat. The great thing about this burger was that it didn't fall apart like typical bar food when I ate it. I had a great experience here and now I see what all the hype is about. On an added note, the place is smoke free and it was great to enjoy a local pub & eatery without the ever-present cigarette smoke. Great food! Good portion size for your money. I had the Ragin' Rooster sandwich with pasta salad. Both were very fresh and prepared well. That was delicious! Goodness, I'm so full, I could pop! The blue cheese chips were decadent. My chicken bog was well done. My companion's black and blue burger was huge and delicious. And the fries were great. My only complaint is that their craft beer selection is not quite what I expected based on their name (the Crafty Rooster). A great little bar in the heart of downtown Conway. They have a long list of craft and seasonal beers that constantly rotates. They have seasonal events that coincide with tapping party's to promote new beers. The food is pretty good as well. Above average bar food with a hat nod to their Ragin Rooster Chicken Sandwich.
