Second time I opted for a burger and ordering a medium just gets you a piece of overcooked shoe leather. I thought once might be just a bad night in the kitchen, but nope....if you are going to offer burgers, your kitchen should know how to cook them. It's not one size fits all. For me there won't be a return trip to The Bird On Third. Sorry but I don't spend money to eat out and feel like I just cannot eat what I paid for. Ordered take out for lunch. Said it would take 30 mins for nachos. I get there at 25 min mark and wait at the bar as the sign states to. Took 10 mins just to get noticed and asked if I'm picking something up. Food wasn't ready. Once I get the food and start eating, it was the saddest excuse of nachos I've ever had. I'm pretty sure they used some canned chili which was sweet. The cheese on the nachos wasn't even melted. For waiting for over 30 mins for this meal, it wasn't even "hot." If I could give this place a 0 rating I would. I can't even begin to describe how terrible my experience was at The Crafty Rooster. I ordered the chicken bites, and not only did they look unappetizing but they ended up making me incredibly sick. Yes, I got SALMONELLA from these awful chicken bites! The texture was rubbery, and the flavor (or lack thereof) was even worse. They clearly don't care about food safety or quality. It's disgusting and unacceptable. Stay FAR away from this place unless you want to gamble with your health. Worst dining experience of my life. read more

Disappointed, establishment was touted as a place to get a good sampling of craft beers. But had little to offer. Maybe 5 or so beers on tap and a few more in bottles. Maybe I have been spoiled by places like Grumpy Monk, American Tap house and a few others that have more than double the craft beers on tap. read more

Crafty is our go to place for date night, bringing guests to and recommend to anyone looking for a great place to eat in downtown Conway!

The food is a solid 4, but the service is a shaky 1. Our first visit wasn't stellar either, but there aren't many kitchens open past 9 in the area, so we found ourselves here for a second try. There was a decent crowd, but thankfully since it's seat-yourself, a table was still easy to find. I counted three waitresses and at least one bartender. The girl handling our section (~10 customers including us) came and went four times within 10-15 minutes before acknowledging us. When she finally did decide to help us, she brought menus and asked for drinks with zero enthusiasm or personality. Our food was great, but before I'd finished my sandwich, she grabbed it up and said she was bringing our check because she was about to leave. We left a 25% tip because we aren't jerks, but she never once made us feel welcome and never refilled tea. I had to get the pitcher from the corner and refill my own glass after she left. And if you enjoy a jukebox, be forewarned, if you play hip hop, every customer in there is going to pay double to skip your songs with Poison or Celine Dion. Seriously. read more

The service was HORRIBLE!! Food was ok. The wait to get 8 wings was a solid hour ! Also, the wait to have a table cleaned was over 10 mins. The wait to get a drink was over 15 mins. The waiter did a really NASTY thing! I had a beer that I had finished and had ordered a 2nd beer. My wife and I found this eatery last week when looking for somewhere different to eat in Conway. Initially we're going to go to the Bistro a few doors from this business but changed and walked in here. The place is dark and definitely more of a bar than a restaurant, but welcoming just the same. It was seat yourself when we entered so we sat at a high top near the bar. We were quickly greeted by our waitress who was efficient and pleasant. My wife had a house special cocktail, I had a local brew IPA and we were both happy with our selections. (I was so pleased with the beer that I returned with my growler and had them fill it with the tasty brew). For our meal we ordered wings and cheese fries. Both were an excellent choice and we would order them again in an instant. The cool thing was we shared the meal and there was plenty for both of us. (Wife is a little thing, but I have never missed a meal and don't believe in sharing). The price was very reasonable and all in all we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed comfortable place to have a decent meal. read more

The Rooster is much improved from the past. The craft beer selection is amazing as is the food. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I discovered $5 burger Wednesdays and the build your own salads on the menu everyday are large and delicious. Its a great place in Conway SC which is surrounded by little shops and boutiques for the ladies. Spend a day and shop and eat. read more

This is my second review. It's been a year since I was here and now it is my go to in Conway. The raggin chicken sandwich is literally heaven. The menu and the beer menu are ridiculous. Excellent! We were looking for a place where everyone - including picky kids, a beer connoisseur husband, and a dieting wife - could all "get in where they fit in" and this spot was everything. The salads were scrumptious, chicken was tender, hand cut fries were perfect. Wings were special - we had no problem cleaning that plate! Husband gave the beer two thumbs up and everyone left happy. First time visiting the crafty rooster today. I have to say I was impressed. The bar was nice and clean and the wait staff was very friendly and fun. I ordered the club quesadilla and my friend had one of the scrumptious macaroni and cheese dishes. Quesadilla was very good. The macaroni and cheese dish was huge and delicious. One star is one star too many for this establishment. We took our daughter, son-in-law, two-year-old grandson, and four-year-old granddaughter for lunch on Saturday, March 30th. The restaurant was very crowded, which was fine, however, the only seat available was a high top which is super challenging with little children (my granddaughter fell off the chair as we were worried would happen). We made it work and were waited on rather quickly. This is where it all went downhill. After getting drinks it was a long wait until our waitress reappeared. Seeing things were not moving quickly and knowing how impatient young children are, we put in our appetizer order and the children's lunch order. When the appetizers finally came out, the children's lunches were nowhere to be found. The waitress finally came to the table to bring the appetizers and said the kitchen forgot to put them in. I find this kind of difficult to believe and she had an electronic system rather than the traditional pad and paper. She took our lunch orders and we were not visited again for nearly 45 minutes. No apologies. No food. My son-in-law finally told the waitress to box up our food as we'd need to take it to go just and needed our bill as someone was bringing the food to the table. The waitress came back to bring the bill and told us that the manager (if there was one, we never saw that person) comped us 50% (we did not ask for this). The comped bill DID NOT make up for the utterly terrible experience we had. What made it worse is that my daughter is a server in a similar restaurant and told me that she'd never had such an awful dining experience. On top of all of it, the food was abysmal. The fried appetizers left us all feeling bloated and slightly ill. My husband's expensive seafood mac and cheese smelled bad, was tasteless, and the mac & cheese was watery. We will NEVER set foot in the Crafty Rooster ever again. :( read more
