I had high hopes that this company would be able to work on my flat roofs at a few of my rental properties from all the positive reviews. Charlie came out to do an estimate on a Thursday April 6th, he was on time, friendly, appeared knowledgeable, and said he would send me an estimate in a few days. I figured since the weekend was close it may be longer. After a week, I texted on April 14th to make sure that I didn't miss the estimate or that maybe that they had lost my contact info/email, and left my info again and gave it a few more days. After I still had not heard back, I called the main number on April 20th and left another message. NEVER HEARD BACK by text or by phone from anyone after my estimate appointment, completely ghosted. That's fine if you don't want the job, just take a second to text or call to communicate the decline. I can't speak for their workmanship, but their customer service follow up and communication is awful. Therefore, I would be reluctant to contract this company because should an issue arises I doubt you will be able to reach them or that they will call you back. I would NOT RECOMMEND Crank Waterproofing in Costa Mesa and would pass and keep looking. read more

Adam Jones was the only contractor who would take on the repair of my deck that included the installation of the new glass deck railing The repair of my deck also included the removal and reinstallation of the my sliding door that is used to access the deck to make the deck weather tight. I would like to point out that other deck contractors were not interested in estimating the cost of the new Glass railing and the removal and reinstallation of the existing sliding door, this would have to be arranged and scheduled by myself When Adam came to the house he new exactly what had to be done to complete the installation. The initial quote and installation went fine, but when it came to repairing a crack (still under warranty), we have only gotten through 1x. I've emailed, messaged on Facebook, texted, voicemails... A gentleman came out once to repair, a full week after the scheduled visit (no longer a surprise as they seem to have trouble keeping their schedules correct); he did the first stage of the repair and said "I'll be back tomorrow to complete the repair and put the epoxy cover on." I should have had him say it on camera or write it down. We've been trying to get this done since around May 10, 2017. It is now September 20, and still not completed. If you want a company who maintains customer relations, find another one. read more

I would like to thank the entire Crank Bros team for doing an excellent job repairing and resurfacing our deck. It all started with Carrie's professional and kind attitude accommodating us to get scheduled. We had some work to do to get our deck ready before they could start the repair and she went way beyond to accommodate us. Thank you Carrie! Kevin did an amazing job with the deck repairs. Our deck leaked and we had suffered water damage because of it. Kevin's crew had to pull back our deck almost two feet, replacing plywood, and blocking. He tied the new decking into the old perfectly, He even went the extra mile and took out some rusted bolts. He installed new scuppers, crickets for proper drainage and a beautiful stainless steel curb to accommodate our next railing. They even ended up having to demo some of our stucco to make sure the flashing (water proofing) was done correctly and matched the color using fog coat. Thank you Kevin! The end product here is that we now have a deck that's completely water proofed, a curb that will accommodate our new railing and a color coat on the deck that looks even better than before. These guys are a top notch crew that I highly recommend to anyone that wants their deck done right the first time. Whether it's a repair or a completely new deck their number is the one I would call. We bought our home from an investor who unbeknownst to us cut corners on repairing our deck leading off of our master bedroom. With all of the recent rain storms we became aware of the deck problems with leaking into our garage that resembled Niagara Falls.
