STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. This place is a shambles and a stain on body shops everywhere - never in my 25 years as a driver have I ever had body repairs done so incompetently and without regard to any quality assurance whatsoever. I came in with minor scuffing damage done by a sideswipe on the front passenger side, without any dents or damage to the headlight lens or any sensors. I was quoted an estimate to fix the car in about 5 business days - drop off on Monday, pick up on Friday. The first of many failed commitments as it took 11 days (including the weekend and Memorial Day, granted) to get the car back. The bigger problem is that as soon as I got the car, I noticed that the paint job was botched, with multiple (I counted 8 but there were more) pits on the paint that probably were paint bubbles that formed and burst during the rushed baking and curing process and then were completely overlooked during the (I am assuming nonexistent) quality assurance inspection. When I brought this up to my rep's attention, the pattern was established - still friendly and prompt, but complete failure to explain what happened to cause the pits, why the QA process was skipped over and to involve a supervisor immediately. The "apology" was basically "Sorry about that, but don't worry, you have a lifetime warranty on the repair" - words I would hear over and over again as you will read on. So, what can a guy do but arrange to come back to the shop, drop off his car and get an Uber home (which I paid for myself round trip, mind you - the shop never offered a reimbursement). The redo of the repaint took two days and then I finally had my car fixed completely! Right? Nope. This time around - having my trust in this place shot already - I do a very thorough inspection and yes, the paint APPEARS fine (although I wouldn't wonder if they skipped the primer this time and I have perforation rust in a year or two but time will show). HOWEVER, the wheel arch trim - which has to be installed brand new each time that car panel is repainted - is noticeably loose and popping in and out like a badly attached denture (don't ask how I know) at the mere press of a finger. See above for the already familiar process of how the shop handled this - the rep saying (second time in a row) "Sorry about that, but don't worry, you have a lifetime warranty on the repair". Still friendly and prompt, but complete failure to explain what happened to cause the botched adhesive, why the QA process was skipped over and to involve a supervisor immediately - at this point to apologize to me personally over a second failure in a row. Fast forward another few days (the part had to be ordered and painted in advance again) when I drove to the shop to have the trim piece removed and the new one attached. This time, it APPEARS to be fine, and so three weeks later and two failures later I finally had the car body work completed. Not only are these the only two examples of a failed body repair I have ever experienced in 25 years, but the repeated failures of the repairs and the lack of any QA - especially the second time when this should have become the focus of a manager's attention - are unforgivable. Final thought - when I mentioned this ordeal to my trusted rep at the service center I go to, he said he recommends to his clients to skip this shop, as they do the worst jobs ever and frequently show up with cars taken apart that they do not know how to put together again. Our Q7 was rear-ended. Crash Champions was proactive in their follow up once we got the quote, and were easy to work with. The work was done to a high standard (they don't use OEM parts) and the walkthrough at the end was thorough. Fun fact, you can't pay for the work over the phone, you have to go into the office in person.....welcome to 2001 ! However, once we got home, we realize that the brake light is full of water. We go back to Crash Champions, and they take responsibility and promise to fix it. Great! Nothing happens for a week so I call back, and then they actually order the part. Nothing happens for another 2 weeks so I call back at the part arrived and no one called me. It was at this time that I explained that an apple magsafe charger was missing from our car during the first service. I chased twice about this to get an answer, which ultimately came back as 'we aren't responsible for items in your car'. It's just a $60 charger, but the polarizing experience between being able to bill our insurance company, and then our experience of them making good on problems they caused, on their own dime......VERY different. read more

The experience seemed pretty seamless until we got the car back. The inside was borderline "ransacked" and we had several items (hundreds of dollars worth) stolen. All of our items in a suitcase were taken out of the suitcase, and the actual suitcase was stolen. Additionally, all of the clothes we had in a garbage bag were taken out and tossed in the trunk and several pairs of shoes in the bag were stolen. Items in our center console were taken out and thrown in the trunk; out of those items, air pods, an electric hand warmer and coin purse were stolen.... etc. They're claiming they're not responsible for stolen items, but our vehicle was left on their property. Additionally, they claimed to have looked at security footage while we called to complain. But, our car was left there for over a week, so certainly a thorough enough review to determine anything wasn't completed. Don't bring your vehicle here if you care about anything in it. We unfortunately trusted them -- lesson learned. The paint job was also bubbled. We were told we could bring the car back to get it redone under warranty, but I don't want anything else stolen. read more

picked up my car after they worked on my rear quarter panel and my trunk doesn't open. they said that the latch was broken. then they said it's just a coincidence that it happened and they would not pay for it. I will never take my car here again. also had a small dent in the quarte panel that was there already. they worked around it and refused to fix the little dent. they wanted to charge me 3 hours of labor for the dent and they were already working on the whole panel. unbelievable they would nickel and dime! what happened to good customer service? I asked them which code they used for the color as it is listed on the cars door jam. They finally admitted they used the wrong color and then told me they'd repaint it. I brought my car in for a self pay estimate. I own a trucking business and we regularly get body work done from scratch and dents. Here I had to bring in my personal car. From experience I knew crash champions charged a premium but because this location is close to home I gave it a shot but ended up falling for a bait and switch that wasted days of my time. I dropped off the car for an estimate and waited nearly two hours. The estimate was slightly higher than a location around half an hour away so I decided to schedule work with CC. I brought in the car in the morning and that night they called saying that they had to increase the cost by 40%. That is real money. They called me at 530 pm and told me the car was taken apart so I couldn't get it back. I asked them to please just let me pick it up as is so I could take it somewhere else for a quote. They told me they couldn't do that because ???? But they would call me when the car was ready. They never did. I then called two days later to figure out what was going on. They hadn't put the car back together but it was "ready" for pick up. I brought the car to Michelle's in berwyn and they were nearly half the price and do awesome work. Even if insurance is paying, you shouldn't pay their rates. Your premiums will go up and they are ripping people off. If they are charging a premium they certainly need to do better with service. SCAM ARTISTS. My insurance sent me here after a hit and run and I didn't think twice after seeing the rating on google. When I went to pick up my 2021 Santa Fe they had lost my $150 floor mat for my trunk - then accused me of lying that I ever had one, and then conveniently found it after I argued with them and made them look twice. They damaged the new bumper that they just replaced- then accused me of the damage, saying it wasn't in the area of the wreck. WHAT? you replaced the whole bumper, and again after arguing with them they realized that they replaced the bumper and then damaged the new bumper. There were paint bubbles all over the repaired areas, paint on the windows, new pen marks on my leather interior, peeling paint on the bumper, and the gas cover was never repaired and is still bent out of shape saying "there's nothing we can do about that" WTF?! - that's your whole job! THEY BROKE MY DOOR HANDLE! There were pieces of plastic and metal stuck in my tires, missing nuts under the wheel well, the quarter panel was still misaligned. WTF?! Your whole job is to repair the car and it's almost in worse shape after?!?! When I complained they took it another day and buffed out the paint. The broken door handle, misaligned panel, and bent fuel cover were not fixed - not to mention there are still issues with the paint. How can you give a car back to a customer like this?! My insurance company (Progressive) said "it's functional" so the job was complete. WTF?! It was "functional" when I brought it in, you're supposed to make it look like it did before the accident! That was it - the supervisor Edgar - the same guy that accused me of lying twice and was then found to be wrong, said the job is done and there's nothing they can do. If I could give more stars, I would. The whole team was communicative and so pleasant to work with. The morning I dropped off my car, they asked me where I was picking up my rental. When I told them it was down in the Loop, they were like "Nope. Hold on a sec." Within 5 minutes they had transferred my reservation to the Enterprise office just up the block. Instead of an hour to get everything done, I was in my rental within 15 minutes. They also sent little emails throughout the week letting me know the status of the work. Finally, the work itself is great. I didn't have a major job done, but my baby still looks fantastic. If anything else happens to my truck, Jorge and the rest of the crew are my go to! Do yourself a favor and find another shop to work on your car. I took my small SUV here in early August for body work after a hit and run. I took it to the location on Division and they advised it would go to the Kingsbury location for work. They did the initial work timely and drove my car back from Kingsbury to Division for pick up. I was barely out of the parking lot and noticed my car was making noises and my tire felt loose. I drove back immediately and the Division location informed me that the shop on Kingsbury did not put the wheel back on fully (not sure how the person who drove it over didn't notice). The gentleman also informed me that they misplaced the wheel cap and would call the Kingsbury location to have them order a new part. On my way home I noticed that a piece from the interior door was missing so called to ask them that as well. A few days later they called to say the parts were in and to come to the Kingsbury location. I showed up only to learn that the one part was in not the other. Since that day, I have called the Kingsbury location multiple times a week inquiring about the status. I am told every time that Victor is in a meeting, has stepped outside, is unavailable, etc but will return my call. I have yet to receive any communication from them. I don't trust their work, their people or the business operations. I chose the Division location initially for the higher reviews and you see how that turned out. He is a very pleasant man...but not once, but twice he called me to pick up my car post-accident of which the other driver's insurance was covering...first time I come to pick up my BMW 650i there's a gloved thumbprint and black plastic chips dried in the paint... they fixed it after clearly not inspecting, are doing any type of QA process for the clients. So I wait another two weeks. Got a call that my car is ready... I'll leave the driveway and immediately to check engine light goes on and throws major errors...AGAIN ZERO QA process. Crash Champions marked my car is picked up and then fight with insurance about fixing what they never fix in the first place. Stanford boldface lied to me several times on the phone. All these lies were caught out once I talk to insurance, and they gave me the context of the conversation with them and Stanford. Avoid at all costs. Repaired my vehicle incorrectly the first time. They called and told me to come pickup my car, came back a second time and the vehicle still wasn't ready/done. They never cleaned all the buffing compound off all the moldings. A 5 min pickup has turned into an hour of waiting. I won't be a return customer and will not recommend Crash Champions. Lastly, the majority of the employees are not wearing masks. Correction. They need to keep the car again for and improper repair. read more

So I had my vehicle repaired at elite Auto on Jarvis they replaced the driver's side door horrible job blending in the paint I wasn't happy and didn't want to go back there statefarm said take it to crash champions so I called them and Armando the phone person said we really don't like to work on other repair shops mishaps so I hung up and went there anyway the estimater Joel said I caused the damages by washing the car which is untrue washing a car after a paint job does not cause the orange peel effect where the paint looks layered statefarm appraiser was told that I was responsible for the damages they agreed to pay for damages so I decided not to have crash dummies repair my vehicle they're rude and have some kind of corrupt or illegal activity going on there with statefarm if you have statefarm insurance do not let crash dummies estimate your vehicle they sure don't know what they're doing over there read more

They took my brand new tire jack and tire iron set out my trunk and threw some old raggedy jack in there instead. I called many many autobody shops as I was nervous! I had a bad experience with another one so I didn't want to make another bad choice. Well, I did! Sadly. My whole job was rushed. Quality of the work so meh. The back bumper stuck out. The rear lights were not connected. The plastic lining inside in many areas were not connected and left unassembled for me to finish. I asked the owner of the shop to make sure he kept me posted on the progress, he didn't even though he said he would. Months later I had my car back back in to correct. They fixed the issues. Talk about time I didn't have with two small kids to even go back in! Then I had a hit and run in a parking lot (Bad luck on my part!) The ONLY reason I went back was because since I had previous issues with another auto body , I learned it was best to deal with ONE (the same) auto body. That way if there were issues I wouldn't have people say we did it the right way, it was the other auto body. Well long story short. I dealt with a nice gentleman that took my car in. I trusted him and told him about my bad experience. He told me he was surprised I came back. I told him to keep me posted with the updates, he did! A day or two went by. I didn't hear from him. I called the shop and spoke with the owners nephew. He told me he was out on a family emergency. Ummm okay. I called back the next day. He wasn't in. I was getting worried something happened to my car. Were they trying to play cover up? I honestly don't know what happened. The gentleman ended up quitting when my car was there. Owners nephew called me back. Told me they were extremely busy. They were waiting on a detail service. Weird but okay. Three days to detail a car? Seriously? I told him to not rush. Take his time. I wanted the work done correctly. Not like last time. Picked up my car. The speaker was blown!!!!!!!!! The door was not assembled correctly. Mercedes has to reinstall it correctly. Inner plastic pieces were not reassembled yet again. They rushed the job. Told me my speaker was fine. There was a dent in the car that wasn't there. Yes, I had to take the car back in. They fixed the dent. Thank you but next time, be more careful and not careless!! Owner told me there was nothing they could do the the speaker. Sorry sir but it was not like that before. They make the music louder and told me it was fine. So on my 85k car, I'm reminded EVERY SINGLE day about my horrible experience. The speaker vibrates even on a low volume!! I'm disgusted to say the least. I was also left a threading voicemail from the secretary that there was an issue and I still owes them 1500!!!! I was left with a couple of screws found in my cup holder. This is when I took my car in to WW. Ashley from the front desk greeted me and got someone to inspect my car. Kevin, tighten down the two screws to the panel right away and I was out before I knew it, even though I'm sure they were busy. They report other problems that came up on vehicle when it was in their possession like a tire slashed. They did not know how tire was slashed even though it was not slashed when I brought in for repair --- weeks earlier. Somehow weeks after they had my car my tire mysteriously became slashed. My insurance company paid for work and they refused to complete repairs they were paid to repair. It is a huge mistake to go to this shop. They are not ethical and do not to competent work. Very expensive but provides low quality job. Had my Audi RS5 in for some body work near driver side wheel arch, but they ended up repainted both sides' door and the quarter panel. Obvious color difference started to showing up only about 1 month later. Also after the repair my driver side window start to squeal when rolling, took the car to Audi dealer and I was told that the door was not assembled properly and some parts was missing. The door seal was also not assembled correctly and it's causing the squeal when raining. Trusted them because they are the most expensive body shop in the area but if you need body work on your performance car definitely wizard werks is not the solution. read more

I was hit by a driver who was insured by Allstate. Allstate directed me towards Crash Champions as they're a partner with Allstate and the process moves quicker. I have a high end car and am specific about work done on the car. I did some research and it looked promising. Luckily, I trusted my instincts. Customer service was beyond great and the best I've had in any auto experience. Phone calls were constantly made to me updating me on process, timeline, and was always the same person. Multiple people introduced themselves upon drop off and pickup of my car. And the cherry on top was receiving a bouquet of flowers when I picked up my car, which they do for every customer. Second work was scheduled and vehicle dropped off for repair. Delivery date delayed by five days of original date. Picked up vehicle car was in sort of working condition except the mirror. Now the mirror installed was wrong mirror. It took another month to get right part. Service vehicle take 2 and now the mirror installed does not work with basic vehicle safety checks never completed. This company takes no pride and quality in craftsmanship communication customer service and delivery. I will never use Crash Champions ever again. They may be what insurance companies like but it was big time suck and overall very crappy business transaction. read more

The work was top notch. Like I almost want to keep the car because it looks newer and shinier than it did on day of delivery, top notch. On time, very responsive, actually came in under budget and answered all of my stupid questions without making me feel, well, stupid. I have a 2004 BMW X5 and they did a fantastic job with the diagnostics as well as implementing a expedited strategy plan to fix my car's woes.
