It's a good go to place in St. Bernard for locals to eat. The designs and artwork inside the restaurant truly encompasses the Asian fusion with Cajun/creole atmosphere. The artwork on the walls are always entertaining to look at and inspect. It shows every aspect of St. Bernard but Asian culture. Service is great as well with a little to no wait for a table. The waiters are welcoming and hospitable and clean tables very efficiently and quickly. From tacos, to general tso, to crawfish étouffée, they have a variety of choices in food depending on ur cravings for the day as well as an extra menu for the day's specials. My go to meal is usually bayou spring rolls or firecrackers as appetizer and sudhiritto as my main entree. Bayou shrimp rolls has similar taste and ingredients with a crab Rangoon but with a egg roll wrapper and sweet and sour sauce on the side. I like this combination. Instead of the breading being too overwhelming, you can distinguish cream cheese and crab meat from the wrapper with a slight hint of heat. The wrapper has no flavor but rather holds everything together for an easy finger food to eat. It does not take the attention off the filling itself. The Blackened Tataki, for me, is a bit overwhelming in the seasoning but the lettuce evens the seasoning out. The SushiRitto may be a bit heavy on the stomach especially for the serving size but I like this meal for the combination of a burrito and sushi, my two favorites. I like the taste of the sushi wrapped in a tortilla. However, I am not used to the coconut rice, which is a bit sweet and can throw off ur perception of sushi. But if you are someone who enjoys meals with sweet and savory contrast, this is good and would recommend. Because of YELP and the other amazing people who post on here I found my NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!!! I travel a lot for work and this was my first time in the area and the pictures of the food looked really good so I had to try. For dinner I got the Country Fried Stake Special and oh my gosh!!!! It had bacon jalapeño gravy with crawfish on top! I've never tasted anything so flavorful. The green beans and potatoes were SO good too!! 10/10 for sure. This is probably one of the top dining destinations in Meraux. They have a really diverse selection of items on the menu going from Asian to Cajun to Creole to Italian and Mexican. The seafood enchiladas here are some of the largest and most seafood stuffed I've ever seen and probably are better classified as burrito sized and they are also very delicious. They offer 3 types of fish prepared in 3 different ways on the menu with redfish, red snapper and mahi-mahi being the fish selections. The mahi-mahi I had on my last visit was very well prepared with the "St. Catherine" option which is "Bronzed Fish Topped with Crabmeat & Roasted Peppers in Alfredo Cream Sauce Served with Seafood Rice & Saute Green Beans" which I would sum up as delicious. The service was efficient and friendly and they kept the drinks filled. Overall this is definitely a restaurant to check out if you find yourself in the area and have a group of people that have a wide range of different ethnic food they are in the mood for as this is definitely one of those places that seems to have something to please almost any palate. read more

I've never been to Crave without being disappointed. The dishes are overpriced, and portions are lacking.

So far my favorite restaurant down here in the parish! Today I ordered the Thai chicken with coconut rice and sautéed green beans instead of the broccoli and that was a good choice! I got the chicken quesadillas which i really liked. My husband and son split a fish and shrimp platter. The fish was thick cut. My son liked it but my husband wasn't thrilled. This is one of those places you really need to try, and try everything on their menu. I love when new restaurants open locally and have unique food. Parking is not that great, but they have allot of room inside. Seating is open and comfortable, all of the staff are super friendly. We started with the Artichoke, Spinach, Crawfish dip. It was pretty good, better then most restaurants Artichoke / Spinach dip, it could have used more seafood seasoning, the crawish flavor was nearly lost. We also got the Bayou Spring Roll, it was really good, very cheesy and very crispy. You only get three, so for the price i expected more. For our meals, they had a fried Redfish over Crawfish etouffee on top of Crawfish cornbread with some mini seafood pies. I got the Thai fried chicken burger with fries. Even with the place being packed our food didn't take long to get. The Thai Chicken had a very light crisp coating and was cooked perfectly. All the way done but still very juicy with lots of flavor. They had some sauce on top that was pretty good. The fries are good, not that cheap generic flavorless crap others have. The Redfish was very good also, my wife is not a big fried fish eater, but she really liked this. The etouffee was ok, but the crawfish cornbread was really good, the combo worked well. I was stuffed but my wife talked me into getting desert. She got some kind of Banana forster spring roll thing, and i got the spring roll cheese cake. She liked hers allot, didn't hear a peep from her the entire time, which doesn't happen that often lol. The cheesecake thing was pretty damn good, and messy. like the idea of the springroll, but it gets messy and squirts if your not careful. it was on top of ice cream with some jelly filling that tasted like a stuffed doughnut. Amazing. A local suggested this place. Has a such a variety that you want to order five things. The server knew the menu and had great recommendations. I have mix feeling about this place. Crave is the only restaurant that provides "fusion" type of food in this desolate area. Everyone keeps telling me how great this restaurant is compare to other restaurants in the town, but I found it not impressive at all. I've tried: Swiss Mushroom Burger: Good burger. Nothing to "wow" for. Snowcrab Avocado salad: The salad either contains too much salt or didn't balance the fake snowcrab meat well with the sauce, I couldn't finish the dish and got hungry after an hour. Tokyo Chicken Wrap: Taste great! I didn't know they loaded this dish with tons of rice though. If you care about your carb intake, don't order this one. Honey Pecan Shrimp: Quantity is ridiculously small. Food taste delicious, but you would get hungry by eat that little shrimp. I was told this restaurant use to be called plantation which was a pretty good restaurant. Today we had "the crawfish 3" which consisted of crawfish cornbread, crawfish etoufee, and topped with fried crawfish tails. This was an original/ delicious dish that made me want more. The service was great during a busy lunch time and the staff was very attentive. The menu was nice and the it was good to have specials that weren't on the menu. Thursday took me to a higher level of appreciation for CRAVE! which is my favorite restaurant in the whole New Orleans area...The Shang Hai Salad...Man oh Man...Great!!! Actually, every meal i have had here has been fantastically good/great! When I ask my customers where they would like to go for lunch...CRAVE! Lucky me...I get to eat here sometimes 2 or 3 times a week! The chefs here are very creative and the flavors they fold together just make you want to eat more! and the portions are really big for lunch...but I didn't say that!
