I rarely write positive reviews but this place was so good i had to ! We tried several of their items and the best ones were the pulled pork sandwitch and the brisket burger Pulled pork "sandwitch": more like a burger, the bun was good (cripsy on the outside, soft in the inside and tasty). The pork is the best we've tried so far in the USA. My wife doesnt like BBQ sauce usually, but this one was well balanced. 17h smoked brisket burger: only on fridays/saturdays. A lot of meat (more than what i usually like) but the bacon, paddy and brisket complemented each other well (the bricket sandwitch; not the burger; which only has brisket was actually a little bit too dry to my taste) And with the tater tots, we felt like kids discovering burgers for the first time. Wow, why didn't we find this place sooner? Everything was delicious. I had the ribs which were juicy and falling off the bone. The mac and cheese side was creamy and better than I make at home. The salad was good too. My husband had the ahi tacos. The fish was perfectly seared and the tacos were delicious. Really good salsa too. This is the best place we've eaten at in town. read more

Food is always clean and delicious. The staff is welcoming and friendly...best enchiladas in town.

Wow the food was absolutely stupendous here as was the service. The vegetarian items were superb. We tried Papusas as well as the veggie burger and there were divine. The nachos were also beyond delicious!!! This is our spot when we come to Shasta!!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Hidden gem! Incredible service and even better food. I hail from Richmond, CA so I know my tacos and papusas. This place exceeded my expectations. The papusas were perfectly cooked and topped. The homemade pico de gallo was spicy and a perfect compliment to all the entrees. They're called Crave BBQ and their meat did not disappoint. I'd highly recommend grabbing lunch or dinner here if you're even driving through or staying in Mt Shasta. Cute mom and pop shop with some excellent dishes. read more

Enjoyed a great lunch today! Had the smoked brisket sandwich and a carne asada street taco! Both were excellent! The brisket was top notch and melted in your mouth. I'm from Dallas and this is some of the best BBQ ribs I've had in my life. The sides (salad, beans, coleslaw) were okay, but when you do meat this good, it doesn't matter how the side are. Ordered a full rack for two and that turned out to be way too much food, but was happy to have leftovers. I cannot praise these ribs enough. My only regret is that I didn't get to try the brisket sandwich. read more

We were in Mt Shasta for the 4th of July weekend. We were enjoying all the town had to offer. It was dinner time needed a place to sit down. Found this great little place with outside sitting. Had my girlfriend order me anything since I am so picky . Had the brisket sandwich! The bomb!! Oh and she ordered a side of Mac-n-cheese !!!!!!! We should have ordered a plate of the Mac !!! Brisket sandwich and asada pupusas at the same place?!?! Yes and both were mind blowing good. Brisket was perfectly cooked/seasoned with coleslaw that was light on the mayo, really let the meat shine. Pupusas were devine. Had peruvian beans and mac and cheese on the side. Both really good, light heat on the beans. Creamy goodness on the mac. Had a nice conversation with the gentleman painting an xmas window scene. Such a nice man and a beautiful painting. My girlfriend and I spent a few days in Dunsmuir and stumbled upon Crave when visiting Mt Shasta. We had the most amazing tacos there, and the service was lovely. Horribly overpriced and poorly prepared. Ordered a burger, medium rare. It was overcooked and burnt so badly I couldn't even finish eating it. Really wish I had asked for my money back. My second time there, and I should have known better. My first time there over a year ago wasn't any better. The burger I ordered then was overcooked, too. I've learned my lesson, and won't be going back again. They do have nice outdoor seating, though. read more

I honestly couldn't recommend this place highly enough! I just had the best ribeye I have ever eaten in my entire life! The owner and his wife will make you feel like you're at home with a comfortable atmosphere while serving outstanding food. Everything I have tried there has been amazing! I seriously can't recommend this place high enough! The amount of time and effort he puts into every dish is very hard to find. Crave was a nice stop on our way back from coastal camping. There was outdoor seating available. We ordered two Crave Burgers which were good, but a little strong on the smoke flavor for me. They came with tater tots which were good. They had an eclectic selection of canned soda and bottled drinks, including Squirt and Big Red, which you don't see everyday. I would probably try brisket or ribs next time if available, as there menu was trimmed down a bit. read more

It's tough to find good restaurants with decent prices and variety in Mt. Shasta, but Derrick and his wife have filled the gap. Street tacos are generously stuffed and tasty at 2.50-3.00 a pop. 2 makes for a great lunch. The nachos are quite large, filling, and delicious. I know the ribs and meats are raves about by locals, but I have yet to try them. I widely recommend this place to everyone I meet in Mt Shasta. They are a new place, a little hard to spot, but worthy of being a thriving restaurant. read more

This place is amazing! I really enjoyed the food here. I got the mac and cheese, which was so good, and despite the significant portions, we ate it all! I also got a burger to split, with a side order of tater tots. They were both great; they cooked to perfection! Thank goodness KFC was closed or I never would have tried "Crave". Happened to be driving by and decided to check it out and get some food- to-go to take back to McCloud. Very clean appearence when you walk in and very welcoming aromas. I was given a sample of the Pork Ribs and the homemade Clam Chowder. Both were delicious. Owners are a very nice couple. I ordered 3 Carnitas tacos with rice and beans. I thought the price was a bit high, but they were delicious as they were made with the same wonderful Plum and Oak Wood smoked pork. I also got the half rack of ribs which were nice sized and meaty. The meat had that outside nice crust with the tender fall off the bone meat that we barbeques lovers "Crave" lol. The tacos and the half rack ribs which came with a mixed greens salad with cherry heirloom tomatoes, rice, beans and cole slaw was enough to feed 3 adults. I will definetly go there again. read more

We dined here this past weekend (on 4/10/21) Food was good and I would give that 4 stars , but me and my family had horrible service -I mean it was bad. We ordered and paid at the counter, and as we always do, we tipped 20% UPFRONT. That was a mistake. When we placed our order for a family of 4, we were told that they only had enough pupusas for two orders, so we grabbed them, and two burritos. When the food came, what my son and husband got were half orders--each entree should have come with two pupusas, but they gave them one each instead and charged 1/2 of the regular entree price. OK, we thought, that was miscommunicated, but no problem, we will order more food. NO that was not possible... our waitress said that since we ordered, other orders came in and we would have to wait over 30 minutes for more food. Really? My husband and son left hungry because they would not accommodate us. The other issue- it was cold outside and I asked the cashier and the waitress to please turn on one of the outdoor heaters while we dined - I asked 3X and no one cared to do it. If you go here, I would suggest you leave a cash tip if the service is good, and NOT tip upfront or you might be disappointed. Note to owners - If your going to ask for a tip at the time of ordering, please follow through with good service. read more
