Hope the owner gets the opportunity to upgrade to a larger space. Spinach artichoke balls were awesome and we'd low key love the recipe for the dipping sauce lol. Probably some of the best pizza I've had. Jessica was our server. She was very kind and tended to us as needed. She also sent us home with tea since they were closing. It's a smaller place but it's very clean. They have one large table for larger parties. I also hear their owner occasionally makes turtle chocolates worth checking out if they have any. read more

My wife heard great reviews on this family owned Pizzeria, and they were right! We walked into Crave Pizza and was immediately greeted by the hostess with a friendly smile and welcoming us to Crave. We sat up at the bar and ordered drinks and an appetizer the Buratta which was very tasty. Also ordered salads and a 14" Deep Dish Meat Craver with Black Olives. This was a heavy and delicious pie! Ended up with leftovers to take home. The co-owner/bartender Jenny suggested some ways to reheat the pizza and enjoy it over the next few days, which we will. The place gives off a wine bar sort of atmosphere with a family welcoming feel and has more to offer then just wines, also a various selection of tapped beers and ciders. Support a local business and give it a try! We will most definitely come back to this little jewel of a pizzeria and family restaurant in the near future. The only drawbacks about this place is the smallness of the indoor dining area and the prices of beers (not that cold either) and mixed drinks are a bit high. Great pizza, great service, good prices on food, and family like atmosphere if you could fit the whole family in their one to two tables. Pizza was like we had in the Midwest so that was a huge plus and we will be coming back for more of their deliciousness soon. Owners were especially nice and attentive with customers. My wife was celebrating her 51st birthday that evening so it was a nice outing for her as she was CRAVING pizza Lol . We will be back and so should you all give this place a try if you like midwestern pizza like no other place here in AZ which is dang hard to find a place like this. Nice long bar area for seating up front, but check on dining area as it is quite small and quaint. Found this place a while back and we've been here four times. The pizza truly is awesome. The last two times it took way longer than normal to get our pies. I called in at 4pm when they opened to place my order for this picking up at 6 PM this evening. Showed up 15 minutes early and hung out at the bar. Didn't leave with my 3 pies until 6:30. this is the second time that it took forever to get pies and I intentionally called early so this wouldn't happen and it did. Didn't receive any compensation, or some kind of a jester for the tardiness. I guess I'll have to wait until other people start posting letting us know they were able to put pies out on time before we can come back and enjoy another meal. Packed house & my first time at restaurant. Keep in mind the hours opened is close to dinner which was my goal for a Friday. I have to say I am amazed at both the pizza & chocolates. Pizza-- Butter-crust with pepperoni & sausage. I was going for a thin crust because I am not a crust fan on pizza--- but the pictures on the wall looked way too good & the person placing the order convinced me of her favorite. The crust was definitely a winner and the ingredients matched the quality in other reviews. I was impressed & will be back. Desert: I did not expect chocolates on the menu but prepared in advance of my order. Do yourself a favor don't skip the chocolates even if you take them home. I enjoyed the experience from ordering to those who were already regulars enjoying an evening meal. Yes, it was crowded but my future for the owners is keep up the good work. We live around the corner and it's easily our favorite pizza spot. My family gets the butter crust pizza and it's dense, filling and has the best flavor. I'm gluten free so I get their cauliflower crust and it's the best! I don't want to tell you to get the cheesy spinach artichoke bites because they're handmade only once daily and do sell out. The bites with the jelly are to die for!! It's not a big place but easy to grab a couple chairs at the bar for date night and or call ahead and reserve the big table with all the family. I have to be in the mood, but I like anchovies on my pizza. The problem with anchovies is it's very easy for them to overwhelm the flavor of a pizza. This is coming from a former Chicago area resident of 30 years that grew up on Rosati's, Pinocchio's, Gino's, and Esposito's. Excellent little place. Great food. Great beer. Great employees. My wife and I have seen this place on Yelp but never thought of giving it a try. We just thought it was your average run of the mill pizza place. Boy, were we wrong.... We started off with the spinach and artichoke bites and they were killer. They were served with this spicy jam that was surprisingly excellent. Honestly one of the best flavors I've tasted at a restaurant in a long time. The beer nuggets were better than any other we have tried. And then there is the pizza. The sauce is perfect. The crust/dough is perfect. And the pepperoni was fresh and high quality. We are fans of Lou's and this place blows them out of the water. It's a damn near perfect pizza and ranks on my One Bite scale as a 9.2/10. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Just got some of the food at this place and let me tell you, we got only three things and I wish we got more! We got a cheese pizza with fresh mozzarella, onion, and, garlic. We also got some Mac n cheese for my son and normally he is pretty picky but once he took a bite he kept going and is still eating it. The mozzarella has the best pull and the tomato sauce is nice and not sweet like most marinara sauces which is great. The crust is nice and crispy the base of the pizza when taken out fresh has a good crunch too. Over time as expected the pizza gets less crunchy on the base but it is still firm and stays together. read more

What a great find. Was glad to hear that the owner was associated with BuddyZ. We started with an order of the beer nuggets. These are addictive abd the accompanying marinara sauce is great. We ordered a deep dish pizza and it's one of the best Chicago style deep dish pizzas around. The owner made time to chat us up along with everyone else at the bar. We gave this new place a try not realizing at first that it was the same owners as the former Buddyz in Gilbert. The inside of this location is rather small (there's only one large table plus bar seating) but it was very clean and the service was great. Similar to Buddyz, the pizza was awesome... the best deep dish in the valley we think. But be ready to pay - a 14" cheese starts at $19+ for each additional topping which adds up very quickly. Their salad was fresh and tasty, but charging separately for dressing (above and beyond the price of the salad) was something I've never experienced at another restaurant. I could see if I requested extra dressing (maybe), but I didn't. Another thing for those who care, absolutely no one was wearing masks despite the recent CDC guidance suggesting masks again indoors for both vaccinated and un - but I will say their ventilation seemed pretty powerful. Overall , the pizza is the best around so we will definitely be back, probably just for takeout though. read more

After finding this place on yelp I decided to try and WOW I was happy I did. The place is little small place tucked in the shopping center its NOT large but found a nice little spot at the main bar and grabbed a nice beer and pizza to go. I could see this place doing even better if they open it up a little more. The pizza was amazing!!!! Love the think crust and the flavors seemed very fresh and cooked well. Just opened! WOW, no disappointment here. Four of us popped in on their first official day. Better come with an appetite and some friends. A couple of 10" pizzas, a calzone, some calamari and beer knots filled us up and filled some go boxes as well. Pizza is really good, lots of toppings and flavor. Huge Calzone! SOOOO GOOOOOD! Hallelujah, we have another amazing family owned restaurant in south east Mesa! We wanted to try Buddyz years ago but it was too far. Now we find out that the geniuses behind that place brought their recipes to their own new restaurant--we raced right over! Try "The Toast" as a starter (ricotta spread, sweet pepper sauce and salty prosciutto), any of the pizzas for your main dish, and a limoncello slush for dessert.
