I'm giving it four stars based on the wait and bar staff. This is a cozy small intimate restaurant with small casual bar normally occupied by delightful local patrons. The food is "good" 3 stars. My suggestion is to ask the waitstaff for the specials. They may cost a little bit more but I found them to be a step above the standard menu. If you want a treat, try the brussels sprouts appetizer and ask for them spicy - they are an interesting balance of bitter sprouts, Thai spices, peppers shallots and garlic - they are a treat. read more

I had previously reviewed this restaurant and removed it after I had a better opinion after 4-5 visits. A very good Thai restaurant stuck in the little town of Hamburg. Parking is very much like the inside seating...very limited. Good Thai quality food. No complaints from me. Wings are great, Thai curry dishes are all as good as any in NNJ. Wait staff are friendly, owner is nice and bar area is small yet very trendy. Since its opening the standards have dropped though. The dishes especially lately have been a tad disappointing. Watery curries and drinks not being served correctly are a sign that attention to detail is being skipped. Take out is a great option. Seating is rather cramped and you can't help be involved in your neighbors conversation. Not te best but far from the worst. You can't give this 5 stars as the spacing, parking and food standards are far from excellent. However, you can't give this place a 1 star either, the staff are friendly, food comes out quick and if you are taking out...it's a pleasant meal. read more

Went here for a late lunch today. We were cheerfully greeted and seated by the window. My husband got the Tom Kha Gai soup which had a lovely, balanced rich flavor. I ordered the chili lime ribs which were dry rubbed, tender, meaty and yummy. With a side of papaya salad it was a definite winner. Husband got the Singapore Noodle dish that was full,of flavor and fresh vegetables. The noodles were soft tasted handmade and the sauce was a real winner. Service was friendly and professional and the room is comfortable. Overall a nice experience and we will be back soon. Eat here, where else can you get good Thai food in northern Sussex County? Food was great but watch out. For all debit card charges they charge you 3.99 percent across the board. There is no display of this anywhere in the restaurant. Just glad I was paying attention. When I asked about it they stated all restaurants do this which is untrue. Kind of a low blow to spent almost 100 dollars on food and also get charged a debit card fee. The place looks nice and I thought it would be good for a nice dinner with my friend. It was nice and quite the evening we went there. The service was good, waitress was very nice and attentive. The prices were a bit less than other thai places so I thought, great! The portion was actually quite large also. We ordered spring rolls which were good but the dipping sauce was just a sweet sauce and had no dimension. We've gone there now two times with my wife and 4 kids. The service by the owners is fabulous (the first time we didn't reserve a table and got seated upstairs which was great). My kids love the see-yaw noodles, the satay chicken and I have had the two different curries. Yes, there are TVs but the place is not overly loud and the service is super friendly and reasonably fast given how busy they seem to be. Starters always come fast and the kids don't have time to go completely crazy (6-14 years). Definitely recommend for people from CrystalSprings area to try it out but recommend to reserve a table in advance. read more

I've been there 4 times in the past year. The food is decent, but it's not 100% authentic Thai food. For example, I've had Red and Panang curry dishes there and the consistency is very watery and they're both red! Panang curry should appear to be more yellow in color. The decor and ambiance is very nice and the service has been consistently good. My only gripe is with the authenticity of the food. I was a big fan of another Thai restaurant in Sussex County. Then I came here. One, the atmosphere is really nice and they have a bar (not that I really drink). The thing that really rocks about them, the price for food and the amount of food make me feel like I got my money's worth. The food rocks, love it!! I now prefer to get my food from this restaurant rather than my old favorite. If I was to wish one thing, I wish they had a bean thread (glass noodle) soup. Setting expectations I just spent time at a local resort and wanted a change of culinary venue. Found this place via yelp and Thank you God. I am a NYC foodie and this is top of the line quality. Had the duck which was crispy and flavorful. Steak was also awesome. This tops my goto spot in NJ/jersey city area. Wish it was closer. Great service and drinks to top it all off. 1 star is a stretch here. Three of us were seated quickly around 7:20 on a Sunday night. Our waitress came over quickly and we placed our order and received our drinks quickly but that's where the experience turned terrible. We sipped our wine hoping to have some to enjoy alongside our dinner. After waiting over and hour and finishing our drinks another waitress came over and asked us if we would like another drink. As we were still waiting for our food we agreed. Our original waitress checked in once after we received our second glass of wine and assured us the food was coming right out but then we never saw her again. By that time we were getting hungry and increasingly frustrated as tables that were seated long after us were receiving food and takeout orders were being fulfilled. We all ordered straightforward noodle and rice dishes, nothing that should have taken that much time. At 8:45, after waiting we'll over an hour for our food and no explanation of what was taking so long, we asked for the check. We voiced our frustrations to two different waitresses and neither apologized or offered any real explanation other than they were behind. Their customer service skills here were seriously lacking and they did nothing to even try and win us back as customers. To top it all off, we were told no management was present when we asked to speak to a manager. We were fairly regular customers who live within walking distance but will not be back. If you're looking to get your food somewhat quickly or for a waitstaff that appreciates its customers and wants to make the best experience possible don't come here. Dined in once pre-Covid and the food and atmosphere was superb. Decided to order for pick-up a year later and food was even better. The service was a little off this time though. We were told the food will be ready in an hour when we placed our order. We had time so we ordered. Went in to pick-up after an hour, paid for my order and was told by the waitress it would take only a few minutes more. I went back to my car to wait then went back in after 20 minutes. Food wasn't ready yet and the 'few minutes" turned out to be an extra hour with no one even bothering to update me. Finally got my order - with no utensils. Asked the hostess if I could at least get a discount on my next visit and she said she'll ask her manager. She comes back and she said no per her manager who didn't even come out to apologize. I will come back for the food and hope that type of service will be a thing of the past. read more

Came here when I went on a weekend trip to Mt. Creek. The food here is decent BUT the wait for the food is crazy slow. Never got frustrated over waiting for food at a restaurant. They took almost 1hr just for our 2 plates of appetizers to arrive and then another close to 1 hr for the main to arrive. I thought it was just my table at first but after observing, it was not just my table that the food takes forever. I would not recommend this place because the time wasted waiting for food already fills me up with rage and the food was not that good that I would waste all that time waiting for it. Vegan review: I really wanted to enjoy this spot because I saw that they mentioned their vegan options. They are clearly stated on the menu as well which was very helpful. We ordered noodles and asked for no egg which the waitress clearly understood. The noodles came out smelling like straight egg. I took one bite and spit it out because it was so obvious that they added egg to the dish. Just looking around it, you could clearly identify the egg everywhere. When we told the waitress, she took it to the back and told us that the "part that looked like egg" which was the chewed up piece of tofu I spit out, was not egg and it was tofu. Even though I mentioned that that's the tofu I chewed up, she gave me the nastiest attitude about it and told me that the cook prepared it to be vegan and she "doesn't know what else to tell me." I guarantee that there was egg in this dish. They ended up taking it off the bill but her attitude was uncalled for and it was clear that there was egg all over my dish. I was in town for a few nights and this was my dinner request- so delighted that this restaurant has continuity and is delish and fresh!! I had to order my favorite Chicken Thai Basil and Spicy Thai Vegetable Rice both in spicy #3.5 My dinner companions ordered the duck salad, and two different curry dishes - everyone raved and complimented me on the dinner restaurant selection. The service was great and the bartender knows how to mix up a perfect cocktail! I hope to return sooner rather than later! I have to address one thing: I think the reviews about slow wait time are ridiculous and short sighted, this is not a fast food nor is it a fast casual dining experience, all orders are prepared fresh with raw/natural fresh-not-frozen ingredients at the time of ordering so naturally it takes a bit longer but nothing outrageous or extreme- quality takes time and I for one have no problem waiting for it! read more

Our favorite Thai place in the area, an area not know for its culinary treasures. Service is always very good, food arrives quickly, cocktails are tasty and pricing is reasonable. My baseline for rating a Thai restaurant is the Pad Thai and Tom Kha Gai soup. Both were mediocre, hence the 3 stars. Ok, after being berated by many friends about my intense loyalty to Narin Thai in Newton NJ, my wife and I branched out and tried this restaurant. Now, Narin does has have it's drawbacks, such as no reservations, long waits and erratic closing times, but the food there is stupendous. With that preface, I would think that it would be easy to give this highly touted restaurant a good review. It is not the case. If you like Houlihans, multimedia dining event, I mean large screen television (volume low), in house stereo blasting spin class music and the cast of Jersey Shore as your fellow diners, you will LOVE this place. The appetizers were good but sauces seemed store bought and entrees left a bad oil taste in my mouth. Not at all what I expected from this place as, it was touted as much better than Narin Thai. That is obscene. Narin's food is amazing, remarkably clean and so consistent I order exactly the same superb appetizers and entrees every time. And they are always perfect. You would think I was an owner in Narin, not the case, they have completely annoyed me at times with their total disregard for customer service or loyalty, but the food is so amazing I always return. Cravin Thai is run by very nice people, the service was good and the food would have been OK, maybe I am the only New Jerseyite who does not really like Jersey Shore.
