I ordered the ABC (Apple Bacon Cheddar) sandwich with tomato soup, and my wife got the Mac and Cheese. The ABC was really good. The soup wasn't my favorite, a little too sweet for me, but was great as a sandwich dip. Then I tasted my wife's Mac and Cheese. Wow! I cook as a hobby and my whole family likes the Mac and Cheese I make, but ironically, I've never liked it much myself because I think it's always bland and lacking in texture. Cravings Mac and Cheese is fantastic, the best I've ever had anywhere. It's flavorful, savory, nicely salty, with a surprisingly pleasant hint of sweet, smoky, and spicy, but not fatty or greasy. The pasta (though not technically macaroni--shells) is cooked just right, giving it just the right amount of bite, with the bacon bits adding a nice little crunch. We couldn't stop eating it. I love this PLACE. It's seriously one of my favorite places to eat in the winter to pair a grilled cheese with one of their house made soups. I love how the grilled cheeses come in different sizes, depending on how hungry you are. I always love to get their grilled mac and cheese because I just love the flavor combo of the BBQ pork and macaroni . I pretty much like all of the soups they have to offer it their daily tomato basil soup is so DELICIOUS. It's very tasteful, and a perfect paring with any of the sandwiches on the menu. Customer service needs work. My wife got one of their salads and about half way through, she bit into a hard round object the size of a marble that about broke her tooth. When we brought it up with the manager, she proceeded to tell us that it's some sort of sugar clump from the nuts. Which didn't make sense. Then basically shrugged her shoulders and handed the salad back to us. Disappointed, my wife asked if she could get a new salad to which the lady replied, "well, you ate most of it"Appalled, we got up to leave when she then grudgingly offered to make another salad. today my sister in law was at home eating a grilled cheese from this place, it looked good, & since today was national grilled cheese day, we decided to try it out for dinner. i wanted to like this place more than i did. we walked in & there were probably 5 other groups of people before us, 5 minutes went by and the line didn't budge, people started to get annoyed. there were plenty of employees staffed, however they all appeared to be in high school & seemed pretty overwhelmed (the whole place was crowded, probably because other people had the same idea as us with getting grilled cheese for dinner). after a 15 minute wait in line, we ordered and got seated. we both ordered the pizza melt grilled cheese, I got a side of mac n cheese and my husband got a side of the tomato basil soup. after another 15 minute wait, just my mac n cheese came out, it was delicious, definitely the highlight of the meal. another 15 minutes passed and the rest of the food came. my husband didn't like his sandwich at all, and i thought mine was as just alright, really nothing special. I had a few spoonfuls of soup, it was just alright. the verdict- the food was cheap but it was pretty underwhelming. the service was slow (which I already knew coming into the place, since there were a few signs that described a 10-15 minute wait for the grilled cheese) but between ordering, waiting, & eating, we were in there for about an hour. in all honestly, the prices here are the same as a fast food place like chic fil a or taco bell & we've received better food & service with only spending 20 minutes in the restaurant. that being said, i don't think we will come back for round two. read more

This cafe is really a hole in the wall and the sandwich I ate was pretty good but the other stuff is so-so. Unfortunately, I didn't go hungry so I didn't order a sandwich. I did have the opportunity to eat some of my husband's gourmet sandwich and I must say that it was delightfully cheesy with a pleasant mix of spinach and sundried tomatoes. I know the menu says there are artichokes in the sandwich but I didn't notice much of it. I absolutely regret not being hungry because I'm sure the other sandwiches were good as well. Now, on to my order. I ordered a small mac and cheese and a side of the soup of the day: Clam chowder. I wasn't a fan of the either. The mac and cheese wasn't cheesy enough. It was kind of tacky, like when you add too much flour to your butter so the roux becomes a bit more doughy. Anyways, it didn't have that essence of mac and CHEESE for me. On the other hand, the clam chowder was strangely sweet. I love clam chowder but I prefer it salty like how they make it San Francisco. Like I said, I wasn't a fan so my husband used it has a sandwich dip instead. Worked out for us. I dinged the rating by a star because the other side dishes were not so great. Not a great experience. Waited for a very long time for our order; which really shouldn't take long as it's just grilled cheese... we got okay portions, but most of the sandwiches are kind of small (regular sizes). For the price you pay and the long wait it's not worth the money for it. We also took our soups to go and the container lids broke entirely and the soups fell into each other. read more

I first was introduced to Cravings Bistro through their food truck while walking through a farmers market in Provo. They gave me a free sample and that is when it started. I then visited their location with a small group and we ordered 4 different sandwiches but all got the same result: AMAZING. Anytime I have the time and I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by and grab one of their delicious sandwiches! I had them cater my wedding because it was so good and they did an awesome job. All of my guests loved it and were completely surprised. Cannot say enough good things about the place. The owner, Angie, makes the visit even more worth it. Great owner and great staff. My husband & I love this place! We live only a few blocks away, so we have to limit how often we go. I have tried several of their sandwiches, and they have all been very good. My go to favorite has to be the Grilled Mac & Cheese. It is homemade mac and cheese, topped with cheddar cheese, pot roast, and then bbq sauce. Very delicious! My husband always gets the Monte Cristo. He will not get anything else. It is very good. They do have side options. I have tried to soups, and they have always been great. The side salads are just basic side salads. But their crotons are adorable mini grilled cheeses! We have gotten the giant cookie sundae once, and it was amazing. We rarely stay and eat there. It is extremely echo-y. It is an older wooden building with wooden floors, and exposed wooden rafters. With all wooden furniture. Of course it will be echo-y. There are a handful of tables out front that do offer a pleasant escape from the noise. And yes, it is a longer wait then what people may expect, but it is 100% worth it. read more

My pregnant wife called to place an order and apparently the girl taking the order couldn't keep up. She wasn't ordering very fast by way. She had to repeat her order 3 or 4 times. The bad part comes when she ask to put her on a brief hold, where she then talks crap on my wife. She didn't actually hit hold as she just put the phone down, so we could hear everything. When picking up the order my wife was going to say something to her but when she said herr pick-up name she hid. Once we got home we discovered that three of the four sandwiches had one slice of cheese that Wasn't even melted, and the order of fries was all of about four fries and a bunch of hard ends that couldn't be eaten. The fries carton was 10 percent fries 90 percent dipping sauce. Will be a very long time before I are to try this place again. read more

Went here this past weekend. Loved the open space and decor. Didn't love how long the food took. We got a Monte Cristo and it was soooo good. Just as good as Disneyland, maybe a little better! It seemed light and was crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on inside and the jam tasted fresh and homemade! The food here is always SO GOOD it *almost* makes it worth the wait everytime (usually averaging a 30-45 minute wait time). however on my most recent trip, i don't think even the DELICIOUS food could have saved the experience. I understand i came on a Friday at lunch rush so i was expecting a slightly longer wait and didn't mind. However, i wasn't prepared for when everyone in the restaurant was served before me and my guest (including guests that had come in 25-30 minutes after i had ordered) After an hour and a half wait, and watching every guest get served before me, it made me wonder what ticket organization is like in the kitchen. The food runner was a young kid who was very apologetic and kind. Overall, i love Cravings, and love to support local businesses. I know I'm probably giving out 5 star ratings too easily, but what else can I do when a little hole-in-the-wall leaves such an impression on me? I learned about the Cravings Bistro only after visiting the Cravings bakery. Honestly I wasn't very hungry, as I had just eaten lunch an hour or so before, but something drew me inside. It had a very welcoming atmosphere I guess! It took me a while to decide what to get, since there were so many amazing choices, but I eventually settled on getting the Mac N Chz Grilled Sandwich at the recommendation of my partner. I don't know if I've ever had a grilled cheese sandwich quite like it and doubt I ever will again! The slices of bread are buttered and grilled to perfection. Inside was a layer of soft, cheesy macaroni on top of a layer of shredded, barbecue-slathered beef. I'm still in disbelief that such a random combination of food items could come together so beautifully but oh boy did they. I'm considering adding BBQ sauce and beef to any mac and cheese I make moving forward! I haven't had the pleasure of trying any of their other items, but if the Mac N Chz sandwich is any indicator then they know their stuff. Came in because of yelp, and enjoyed the majority of my experience. There was a little line when we arrived but it moved quick enough and gave me time to review the menu board. They also have menus you can hold while waiting. Got up to the register and ordered. The cashier wasn't awesome. Im not sure if she doesn't like her job, or if she was judging me because I brought my kid and was wearing my swimsuit. Who knows, but she wasn't pleasant. We waited the 15 min for our sandwich. Now, I did pay attention to the time because they have signs ALL OVER the place stating that the food takes time. I'm not sure if they've had problems before, but it seemed to a bit overkill on the signs. The food arrived. It was delicious. I love that they have the "dipper" size soup. I wanted to try it, and this was perfect. We had the ham and potato Friday soup. By far the best part of lunch. I ordered the Monte Cristo. Fried of course, which cost $2 more. But, it's a monte cristo! It had to be fried. It was good. A bit doughy for my taste, but good. Finally the cookie. It looked delicious in the case when I ordered. It was good. Nothing special. I have to give this three stars. I came here with my son, who likes this restaurant. He recommended the tomato soup and sandwiches. I ordered the tomato soup and the grilled mac and cheese sandwich. I thought the soup was okay but it had too much basil. I also ordered the grilled mac and cheese sandwich based on my son's recommendation. The server said it is a popular item, too. I could only eat two bites of the sandwich. I am here visiting from Texas where mac and cheese is considered a staple in some parts. BBQ sauce should never be combined on a sandwich with mac and cheese. My son had the Monte Cristo and liked it. I had a bite and thought that there was too much batter used on the sandwich before they deep fried it. read more
