Went here for dinner with some people for a get together. Boy, Am I mad?! The girl who took our orders had so much sass and rude to our friends. We had told her that we would be taking a few moments and she was not patient While taking our orders. While consuming food, we were asked by someone if we were done eating. Don't you see that we are still in the process of eating? Oh and he started spraying all these chemicals around us to clean the tables! Wow! I like the food portion and the taste but the service is really terrible. Its definitely a NO NO! It's embarrassing on how they treat the customers. Our friends went here because we personally recommended this place since we have not tried their Dei section. I also noticed that the girl was rude to other patrons who were behind us too. Cravings Deli does a few things really well; their spring rolls and crab rangoons are delicious, fresh, and well priced. However, their bubble tea can be iffy. I've had their boba when the tapioca pearls were nice and fresh, and I've also had it when the pearls were mushy and mealy like they'd been sitting around for a while. On my most recent trip to Cravings, my friend and I each ordered a different kind of ramen, and neither of us was impressed or even able to finish it. Neither ramen was super flavorful. I ordered the pork belly ramen, and instead of nice crispy pork belly, I ended up getting fatty, soft, flabby pork belly that was not very palatable. I really love ramen and maybe it was just an off day at Cravings, but for $13+ for a bowl of soup I was expecting a little better quality. read more

Oh, I have been craving legit ramen and haven't been able to find it within a 50 mile radius of Kalamazoo. Cravings delivers! It's nestled in the Pacific Rim grocery store, so it's unassuming. I had the tonkotsu ramen: it came with two soft-boiled eggs, pork belly, bok choy, and bamboo shoots. The broth was authentic, but more importantly, everything was delicious. First time here and I will say I am impressed. I choose the spicy beef brisket and I was happy and full I did. This meal was NOT spicy, 1-10, 10 being spicy this meal is. 5-6. Being fans of the grocery store (instant ramen, bakery, assorted condiments unavailable elsewhere) it was not hard to convince us to try out the eatery. It is counter service: you make and pay for your order, you find a table, and your meals are brought to the counter for you to pick up. This evening my girl tried the Chicken Paitan Ramen while I chose the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. While neither of us were charmed by the quality of the protein in each dish (my beef seemed crazily fatty), everything else was intoxicating. We decided that we would have accepted bowls of broth alone and been perfectly content. The broth in my soup was deliciously spicy. Cups, an ice water dispenser, Chinese soup spoons, metal chopsticks, and forks are available at the counter. It's not a huge menu but there are appetizers and entrees that interest us so we'll be returning. My girl fancies crab rangoons and has noticed that many Asian restaurants have stopped including crab in this appetizer (Chinn Chinn being a painful example), so she is interested in this eatery's take on rangoons. read more

The food was okay at best. I used to live in Seattle, WA for over a decade and Seattle have a HUGE Vietnamese population so I know a thing about Pho and Bahn Mi sandwiches to say the least. This place is extremely over priced in regards to the Bahn Mi. I'm used to paying about $6-7 tops for a sandwich and this place charges $13 which is ridiculous. I also had the Spicy Vegetarian Chicken Ramen and it was mediocre. The vegetarian chicken was a breaded piece of faux chicken. If it's in the soup, it would be a soggy mess. The soup could be better if they just used fried tofu instead. The broth was not spicy whatsoever. Also had the Vegan Rolls and they were okay but there was barely any tofu inside which was disappointing. I see that in the review people love this place but I just wasn't impressed. I'm sure that folks love it because it's kind of the anomaly in the area and has nothing to be compared too which is unfortunate because there is a lot of better Vietnamese food out there. read more

Was recommended from a friend to eat here. Glad we did. Broth is authentic and rich. Flavors and ingredients are top notch. Up there with some of the better ramen places I've been to. Not a ton of salt and no spice, but I didn't mind it. Would definitely return and recommend. We ordered the pork belly ramen, the bbq pork ramen, and the potstickers. Cravings Deli is such a great spot to get a meal. They have a lot of variety in what they offer. The service was great and is in the middle of a little grocery store so it isn't necessarily a "sit down" restaurant. You order at the counter and then can sit down and eat! Very relaxed ambiance. I come here every single week, and have nearly without fail for about a year now. My order is always pho and a big thai boba with extra tapioca. I am addicted, absolutely obsessed with this place. I come here any time I need to celebrate just about anything - even things as simple as "I got up and did one productive thing today" or "I made it through yet another work week without losing my mind" The food is simply glorious, and I can always count on this place to make my favorite meal correctly every time and it's always hot and fresh and they really hook it up with the portions :) the pho always cheers me up, so to whoever cooks the stuff, here's this: The dining room is cute and I love to sit in the lil house, it feels cozy in there, it sort of evokes the same energy as being a cat in a box The cashiers are always friendly and super helpful and I'm familiar with all of them! Well I've been trying to visit this deli for lunch for some time. Today presented a chance and I took advantage of it! I stopped in about 11:30am on a Saturday. The menu item I selected beforehand was the Tonkotsu Ramen and a glass of Black Boba Tea. The tea interested me because I learned to love tea when I was in the Peace Corps I. Kenya. She too my order and gave me a buzzer to alert me when my order was ready. I selected my seat from the large dining area in the side of the store, Pacific Rim. Soon my buzzer sounded and I retrieved my order. The dish smelled DIVINE!! I got back to my table and DOVE into my Ramen! The smell and flavor were nothing short of AMAZING! The broth was so deep and flavorful I couldn't believe it! There were pieces of bok choy, huge amounts of scallions , and 4 pieces of pork belly. The pork belly was skillfully seared and super tender. As were the pieces of bok choy. I could have used more bok choy but for the photos on Yelp I see the my amount was smaller then normal. That can happen in restaurants. The Ramen was super abundant and nicely cooked, very tender and flavorful. I ate the WHOLE THING!! Which was way way too much. Clearly this is a two serving meal. I should have taken half of it home. I was STUFFED!! The Boba Tea was great!! It was sweet and served cold which I wasn't expecting but still delicious!! The addition of the black tapioca pearls was a surprise, but it was good!! It was WAY more than I needed for lunch!! But super flavorful and delicious! One of our families favorites! We haven't thoroughly explored the menu because we got stuck on the spicy miso ramen and haven't changed it up much since! It's so yummy and authentic. My husband gets it 10/10 level and loves that he can't feel his lips afterward. I get it as a 8/10 and it's just right. So much flavor. We have gotten their different spring rolls and enjoyed all of them. We love the people that work there and service is always quick. They have extra yummy specials every day too. read more

Was looking for a place with a good vegetarian ramen option. Finding this place was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the vegetarian "chicken" miso Ramen. The chicken was served on the side and was crispy. The Ramen had delicious baby bok choy in it was a 10/10. I also ordered that vegan rolls which were also delicious. This is our family's go to spot for anything boba or a quick tasty bite. The Sake Don is a favorite as well as the Vietnamese Rolls. The Red Bean Pancakes don't misssss. We are also slightly obsessed with their desserts (the cheesecake & cake slices are absolutely delectable) The Customer Service is always a treat. One of the BEST bowls of ramen I have ever had. I went on a road trip to Michigan State with one of my friends, and we were both craving ramen on our way back to Chicago. We happened to stop in Portage and discovered Cravings inside of Pacific Rim Foods. We were slightly shocked and confused on the exterior of the building, but upon entering Pacific Rim Foods, we discovered a cute, chic restaurant with fantastic service. The ramen was just perfectly balanced, with egg, noodles, tofu, and greens. Not to mention that the spice level I chose "cured" my cold, with the spicyness burning out the remenants of a cold that had tortured me for the past two weeks. The boba was also delicous, especially since I have a weakness for anything with coconut milk. Would definitely go back to Michigan just for some more ramen from Cravings!! read more

I am happy to join the Cravings Deli fan club! I had been hearing about Cravings Deli on Yelp for a while, and finally stopped in to grab some carryout. The staff was very helpful and the cook even came out to confirm what items were gluten free. My wife has the Miso Chicken, while I opted for the Spicy Beef Brisket (not GF). Chicken Ramen with Bok choy, seaweed, bamboo shoots, and a broth that tickles your belly with its warmth. The pork belly Ramen is a perfect fusion of crisp and tender. The shrimp curry is aromatic with lingering ginger notes and jasmine white rice. Finally after reading so much about this place we got a chance to try it out. It's inside Pacific Rim grocery shop so its a bit tough to find but it's pretty good. They do have vegeterian options! We ordered the spicy miso ramen and Yo Po Mian. Spicy miso ramen was definitely spicy, a bit too much for me, but loved the noodles. Yo Po Mian too turned out to be pretty spicy for us as well. We also ordered the Jasmine tea and for me that just took all the 4 stars! It was so good! Maybe next time we'll try to tone the spice level down but the food is really good.
