This place was recommended by friends! Loved it , I definitely want to come back. I was a bit overwhelmed with so many options. Love that they have a bar in the back. They played great music the entire time there!! Service was friendly. Food was delish and prices weren't bad. We will be back!

Located in Rainier Beach with a decent sized parking lot and plenty of street parking around it. Inside, you're greeted by friendly staff and there is plenty of seating based on your party size. They also had a bar with TVs which looked like could be a good spot to come by for sporting events. The menu was pretty massive with anywhere from traditional Vietnamese dishes, hotpot, as well as seafood boil. On top of that too were a bunch of different bar foods that could definitely pair nicely with an ice cold beer. It was my first time having pho in a stone pot and it's a game changer! The dish is hot throughout the entire meal if you're eating at a good pace and it cooks the ingredients nicely. The broth was super rich and filling and full of decadent, savory flavors.

Seems like a very close knit staff and things are authentic. I didn't have any crab or anything but chose to have some pho to try it out. Broth was very flavorful, the stone pot kept it hot the entire way. Had all of the right fixings and wasn't mad about it. I always order fried chicken extra hard, this didn't disappoint at all. Fries were seasoned well, just fries. Kind of loud, good music, and wide open space. This day didn't happen to be too busy but didn't mind it at all.

Surprisingly good hole in the wall Vietnamese food with a seafood boil that reminds me of the South! We visited last fall and were surprised to find such good food in a hole in the wall place. My husband appreciated the pig blood in the BBH and we both really enjoyed the fried softshell crab. The pho came in a stone pot which kept it nice and warm and probably is my favorite bowl of pho that I've had in the area thus far (but not exceptional). This has become my default Viet spot recommendation and we plan to come back again!

Crawfish and Hot Pot has a huge menu with lots of Vietnamese dishes and plenty of seafood options, which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself is very spacious and would be great for groups. I tried the seafood boil and the house sauce, which was a lot different than what I'm used to. It leaned very heavy on lemongrass, and I personally prefer something more garlicky and saucy, so next time I'll definitely try a different sauce. Unfortunately, the shrimp and crawfish were pretty overcooked, and the clams had fallen off their shells so we had to dig through the sauce to find them. I was also a little confused why my friend and I were seated in a back corner during the Seahawks game while most other guests were seated in the middle, and service wasn't very attentive... That said, I do love Vietnamese food, and with such a large menu, I'd be open to coming back to try other dishes and give it another shot.

The restaurant offers a good variety on their menu. If you enjoy your pho to stay boiling hot the whole time you're eating it then this is the spot for you. The flavors of the pho is pretty solid and I enjoyed it. Now for the pricing, I do think it is on the pricier end. The portion and sides of the rice plate isn't as big -- a small cut of meat loaf, the small fried piece, one egg and the beef short rib (which is basically one full piece). Both entrees were nearly $20 each (the pho was a large). I think the portion for the rice plate can improve with another protein added or bigger amounts of protein for that pricing.. I don't mind paying but it has to be higher quality or quantity. This spot was okay for me, if I was in the area I'd get the pho again but it is steeper in price but because it's in a stone pot. I would come back to try their seafood boils or the other specials that they offer. I'd give this a 3.5 stars for now

Last time I ate here was with cousins from Cali who absolutely love crawfish (though I'm not a fan of it). This time it was during an unusually large thunderstorm that suddenly hit Seattle, and it was a very last-minute choice too! It's also a decision that I don't regret one bit either because of the great service and food here, and the fact that they don't close as early as many other Vietnamese restaurants. This place has limited parking just on the side of the building; otherwise you'll have to go for street parking or nearby residential areas. My friend and I got seated on a Saturday night inside this restaurant, which is very spacious with tables seating anywhere from two to a whole party of people, and a bar section and what looks like a small stage area as well. One or two TV screens can be seen on the walls as well. I got the special beef rice, which came with beef short ribs, sugar cane shrimp, a fried egg and an egg meatloaf along with julienned veggies. My friend got the special pork chop on broken rice though they did give him beef short ribs like me since they were out of pork chops for the day. I also got Thai iced tea as I usually do. Excellent taste in everything, and I was pretty full afterwards! Short ribs were easy to pull off and not hard to chew. We got water refills pretty often even without asking, and our server also struck a couple conversations with me and my friend, so service here was great! I usually overlook restaurants and eateries in the neighborhoods I frequent around, but I'm happy that I was able to come across here and dine in as well! Will most certainly come back here again even if it's not to eat their crawfish!

We love how extensive the menu is- lots of drinking and comfort food to select from. Service is hit or miss and food is decent. In terms of freshness of crawfish, not sure if they ever have fresh crawfish but the day we went, we were served frozen crawfish. Also note that this place doesn't give you the option to sample their sauces prior to ordering like some places that do, so you'll have to just order and wish for the best. We were told by the waitress that Cajun was some of the most popular so we opted for the Cajun sauce- their Cajun isn't your typical Cajun sauce, doesn't have any Cajun flavor to it, more on the saltier side to us. We'll most likely try another sauce next time hoping to find one well eventually like. The beef hot pot we got was good- for a small, it was ample of food for 2 people. What we didn't like is they didn't ask if we wanted to wait until we were done with our crawfish prior to bringing out the hot pot. Half way through eating crawfish, they begin setting up for the hot pot so we requested if they could just wait till we were done. Since they had brought some things out already, I guess they just wanted to complete setting it up so they left everything off to the side of our table. We had clean up the mess from the crawfish then move all the hot pot stuff over by ourselves since no one was already to assist. Obviously it gets messy after crawfish so if you're like us, ordering crawfish and hot pot in one sitting, bring it up to them first thing so they don't try to bring everything out at once.

39. Hoi an Chicken Steamed Rice Plate

My mom took me here for dinner. Never heard of this place until then. My mom can be picky so if she said it's pretty good then I kind of trust her. She got the big stone pho. I had a taste of her broth and it was good. I decided to try something new and got the Hoi an steamed chicken. If you ever had bun mang vit, it's similar without the noodles soup and bamboo. The steamed chicken was great. Juicy dark meat. Poured the fish sauce over the salad and chicken. The rice seemed like it was mixed in with mung bean with not much flavor to it. What really made me enjoy this dish was the fried shallots. It added a great crisped onion flavor to the dish.

Combo with shrimp, sausage, crawfish, corn, potatoes, and crab legs (and a basket of fries not pictured)

Came here for my birthday on a Monday night after seeing reviews online. The portions were very big and reasonably priced, much cheaper than places nearby. Parking was easy but not very many spots in the lot. The combo we got was shared between two people and we still had some leftovers, although I have limited appetite due to surgery. Wasn't very crowded and food came out fresh and fast. The server was nice and we like how close to home this spot is. We will definitely be coming again and I hope to try the pho. This is definitely the best seafood boil place I've been to in the Seattle area and I didn't feel ripped off by the portions or price. Coming with a large group would probably be super fun, they are locally owned and I hope people support them.

Combo #4
Shey M.

This place did not disappoint! First time here and our experience was great. Staff was super friendly, fun and happy. Got the Combo #4 (Crab, shrimp, crawfish, corn, potatoes, egg & sausage) , 1/2 dozen raw oysters and short rib pho. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Would definitely be coming back to this place and would recommend coming here if you're having seafood cravings!

Hot pot
Marie R.

My sister-in-law and her husband invited me and my husband to join them at this spot. I forgot exactly what they ordered since they ordered in Vietnamese! All I know is we got the house sauce for the crawfish combo and the hotpot is more of the Vietnamese style. The crawfish combo with the house sauce was delicious! It had a little bit of a kick but not too strong that you can't feel your mouth anymore! Also, the shrimp, crab, and crawfish were huge! They're bigger than the ones I've had at other places! For the hot pot, it was really different from most other hot pots I've had before but it was delicious! The service was amazing. They seated us right away and were very attentive to our needs. Also, the space is clean and bright so it feels very inviting and cozy. This will be a good spot to come back to next time we're in the area!

The garlic noodles were so flavorful and had the perfect savory-sweet balance, while the wings were juicy, crispy, and soaked up the flavors so well. What immediately caught our attention (for obvious reasons) was the bold sign: LIVE KING CRAB. We walked in and were instantly impressed. Large water tanks filled with live Dungeness crab and live king crab, crystal-clear water, and absolutely no fishy smell--always an excellent sign. The space feels more like a clean, well-run warehouse set up for both wholesale and retail, not a typical seafood market. A gentleman working there quickly came over and started chatting with us about crab. Super knowledgeable and friendly. They offer a wide selection: live, fresh, and frozen crab, Japanese scallops, fish, and a variety of shellfish. We considered the live king crab, but it was honestly too big for the two of us to handle in a hotel kitchen--and definitely would've been a splurge. So, plan B: I called my sister-in-law to see if she'd like some frozen king crab legs. She said yes immediately. The gentleman showed us the frozen options, and the king crab legs were long, meaty, and impressive--similar in size to what Costco carries, but priced better. We ended up negotiating a great deal and purchased a box of their Party Pack King Jumbo Crab Legs for her. Later that evening, she surprised her daughter with a king crab birthday dinner, and they reported the legs were super meaty and absolutely delicious. Safe to say, we'll definitely keep Seattle Seafood Center in mind for future seafood splurges.
