I get why it got its mid-ratings. It's practically self serve everything besides the type of meats coming in. Your platters, sauces, and rice are all at the station with the Kim chi and side dishes. The only missing were the big lettuce wraps and zucchini that I would usually get with the meal. It was good but not great. The vents are basically there for decor as they don't work properly. I was catching all the smoke into my face and clothes but you can smell it through out the restaurant. There's no service besides the occasionally change out of grills when it gets too smokey and if you dare to refill your meats to avoid a up-charge of $20 for having too much leftovers. They do get busy so I see that there are people who actually like the self serve buffet option. read more

This is the only AYCE KBBQ in Bakersfield (unless I haven't found the other ones) and it does the job considering I was from LA before moving here about a year ago. The place is clean and organized and their staff is welcoming and friendly even when they get super busy. The meat is good enough for the price and I love tht their sides (even the rice) is at a buffet style where you can just ger up and grab them for yourselves instead of waiting for the servers to bring them to you. You can munch on them while waiting for your meat to cook. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to satisfy your kbbq cravings without having to drive too far. read more

During my visit at prime sushi , I heard the employee mention multiple locations like love korean bbq under the same ownership, which made me concerned that whatever is going on might not be limited to just one place, As customers, we assume our tips are going to the people who serve us, so hearing otherwise is upsetting. I obviously don't know all the details, but what I witnessed and heard was enough to make me question supporting this business and any others connected to it. I hope management takes a closer look at how things are being handled and ensures fairness and transparency for their workers. If workers aren't getting tips correctly or were fired for questioning it, The business could also face lawsuits for wage violations or retaliation . read more

Girls night decided to give this place another try and I'm kind of happy we did as they've changed a few things. It's almost like they actually read my review! The robot was gone or at least it didn't make an appearance this time around. Our sweet server not only lit our fire from the beginning this time but she came and changed out our burner often. I'm guessing she does that so the place doesn't fill with smoke from burning up old juices left behind on the burners? She was also way more attentive this time around coming by and changing out our drinks often. The buffet table was still good but I really wish they'd tag all of the items so I'd know what each dish was. This time I ate the cold broccoli, the clear noodles, and the rice all was great. As for the meats, this time we tried the bulgogi, the brisket, the spicy marinated chicken, and the short ribs. I wasn't a fan of the chicken. I can't put my finger on what type of chili they used but it had a weird taste. The brisket once cooked looked like that packaged frozen beef named Steakumms you can buy in the freezer section of most stores. The bulgogi was delicious but I believe that's because it's marinated so it has flavor. The brisket has no seasoning and all they have on the table is salt and pepper to season the meat so I suggest getting a meat that's already marinated for better flavor. This is a cool spot to come if you're looking for a nice date or something as it's different than just going out to dinner. But be careful because It's also pretty hot in this restaurant with all the cooking going on and for whatever reason they don't turn on the vents to get some of the hot air out. I was a little nervous to come here because of the lower rating but sometimes gems don't get the best love! This place is definitely a gem. We went for lunch which is 28.99 a person. We were sat quickly, drink orders taken quickly, and she was very attentive to be ready when we were ready to order meat. I like that all the sides are buffet style. It means you get the sides you want and don't waste ones you won't eat. It's also nice to see all the options as some places don't list what they offer and you don't find out til a friend mentions it or you see it in a photo online. The selections of meats and sides was good. Meats were pretty standard styles for a KBBQ. We got bulgogi, brisket, marinated chicken, and pork belly. Just had dinner here and our server Elijah was the best! Me and my family have been coming here for some time now and we are lucky to have him as our server. The food was delicious too! We had the thinly sliced beef belly, thinly sliced pork belly and beef brisket. The buffet style side bar is a nice treat with all the kimchi, salads, radish wrap, fried Goyzas, cucumber salad, seaweed salad, jalapeños, onions and much more--which levels up the ambiance of this place! I went to Love Korean BBQ with a couple friends and we were all shocked at how much food we got for the price. It was around 35 dollars for all you can eat, and that covered the meats, a bunch of sides, and even ice cream at the end. We just kept ordering different things and trying a little of everything, which made it more fun than a normal sit down place. Nothing felt rushed and the food kept coming out, so we could actually relax and eat. I left completely full and felt like it was actually worth what I paid. Ate here and everything was fine until i ordered the shrimp, i cooked it until it was nice and crispy, 4 hours later i get stomach ache and a lot of nausea, had to go to the ER 3 different times and i haven't been to work all week (i went on sunday around 11am and its now wednesday) i was told it was a colon infection. After visiting Korea, I can see the difference in KBBQ. I'm very glad to have this in Bakersfield its something we needed. As for the meats I would say the marinated meat are the best in taste, great flavor! They have a good amount of side dishes, but to make the meat not stick to the pan they're missing the chunk of fat to spread on the grill it would save a lot of cleaning. My family loves Korean BBQ so we decided to finally check this one out. We have been here a couple of times now. During the pandemic we were anticipating the opening of this place and then when it finally opened it didn't tickle our fancies so we weren't in a rush to check it out. I feel like this place is good for Bakersfield. Bakersfield needs more AYCE KBBQ places. Because I've had really good KBBQ places in SoCal it's hard for me not to compare it. First of all, the sides are AYCE, they don't have a wide variety of sides, but just know it's not as fresh. Maybe it was fresh in the beginning of the day, but the times we visited it was in the evenings. The sides are at a buffet like table and you serve yourself. You can tell the staff doesn't clean up this area often since there's food scattered here and there. It's not disgusting, but it does appear like most buffets. The meats seem good quality, but not top tier quality. The meats are seasoned well and they have nice sauces. I think I would continue to come back since my boys like this place, but this would not be a regular place for me. I think I would only come back if a relative or friend wanted to go check it out or if my boys wanted to come. On a plus side, they actually have a good amount of people that dine in, so that's a sign that meats are fresh. The restaurant seems old inside. The walls and crevices does not seem clean. I thought this was odd considering it's been open just a couple of years. The staff seemed nice, it's a hit and miss. Sometimes they don't check up on us as frequently and other times they are on point. I think it depends on your server. The AYCE KBBQ places in SoCal are more consistent with service. Traveled through Bakersfield and stopped here for dinner. The food was delicious and I've been to many Korean BBQ restaurants in the Bay Area. The meat was marinated perfectly. My tip is to always keep an eye on the meat because it can go from being perfectly slightly charred to burnt with 30 additional seconds. The sides are self serve and all flavored perfectly. They have ssamjang, sliced peppers and garlic which pairs perfectly when combined with beef, rice, and lettuce. Service is fast. The meat comes out within 1-2 minutes and the bbq grill plates are being replaced constantly. Fountain drinks were offered for refill as soon as they were low. read more

I first went when this place opened and back then it was great. Good service, attention to detail, fair price. I went last night with the same amount of people I first went with, 4. The service was horrible. Servers paid basically no attention to customers and seemed like they didn't even want to help us or anyone else. They were basically non-existent. They charge a ridiculous service fee of $21 for only a party of 4, usually service fees are charged for parties of 6 or more. The quality of the food went down. All in all the price we paid was not worth the quality of food or the service of the employees. Wouldn't recommend to anyone read more

Normally this is my go to for KBBQ. but not anymore. I went in at 6:37pm on Sunday with my party of 5. We ordered the meats and immediately went to the sidebar. Many of the sides were empty or about to be empty. If you are a fan of japchae or tteokbokki then do not come after 6:30. They will NOT refill it as our server told us. My only issue is I had gastric and I went here to celebrate a birthday for my daughter and I ask them to charge me maybe a child price because you know I ain't gonna eat that much and they refused. But I felt that the new prices being like $35 per person is a little high even for inflation. When you ask for square, they only bring you one piece of squid when I bring octopus to you. My experience here was HORRIBLE. The meat was hard to chew & had no flavor at all. They had no brisket sauce & the sides were very limited and bad. The server sat us down and walked away leaving us clueless on what to do. My advise is make the 2 hour drive to Orange County for some REAL bomb kbbq cuz this place ain't it. read more

So so good! Meat was yummy! I personally liked the side dish buffet along with the self serve sauce and utensils and rice. I felt it was very convenient to get your own side dish rather than having it already on the table and could potentially go to waste if the customer ends up not eating it. Our server was very nice and checked on us multiple times and was very quick! We went around 12:30pm and the restaurant wasn't that busy so it wasn't too loud, you would just hear the music. Arrived about 7:30 this place closes at 10 according to them, the. Their last service call for meat is 8:30. They charge for everything here for buffet. They charge per person/child, they charge for soda (any drink) , they also say they charge if you leave any meat behind. This is ridiculous if you are already paying for your entrance fee. If you want to get your moneys worth, come early. We got seated and the exhaust wasn't great compared to other kbbq places as you would cough to get used to it. They have few sides but the food was okay. We ordered half servings on few items because we don't want to waste food and try most of it. At 0832 pm we called the server to get our next batch of meat and he was rude to say the kitchen closed at 0830 pm I told you guys over and over. He never checked on us, he only spoke with us once to replace the burnt grill one time and that's it. Never refilled our drinks. Not cool to call your customers liar and you have a mediocre place.
