We are here in long Beach for a boat cruise, and while walking around and exploring near our hotel, we looked on Yelp for a place to eat lunch. Very close by is a place named Crazy Fish Grill Express. We walked over and the place has some charm. Small place with nice decor and a few seats, but outside seating is also available. Ordered the Sea Bass with garlic butter sauce, and fish tacos plate. Reasonably priced and both was very good! I think we're going to eat here again before we go on the cruise in a couple of days!

Pretty decent fish and chips here! The batter was flavorful, crispy, and not too heavy. The fries were really great! I couldn't stop eating them. We also ordered some tacos which were good. The clam chowder was good too but I wish it was served hotter. Service was good. Plenty of street parking in the area. They have a small area for outside dining. The place was pretty clean. Overall a good spot.

Food was delicious! We got the ceviche and fish n chips. Came out super fast! They gave us a ton of salsa which was also delicious. Cashier was friendly and the place was clean. Great ambiance overall. Just stopped in for a quick bite to eat and it was perfect. No complaints, no suggestions.

After doing errands around the area, I decided to try this spot. Parking can be tough, paid street parking. Luckily, I was able to find a parking a block away and decided to walk. I ordered fish and chips, just to try it out. Great customer service. Small place with couple tables. I believe there's outdoor seating. I was surprised on how good the fries are. Well, the fish was definitely delicious - light, crispy and seasoned well. Overall, a must try place if you're craving fish and chips. Will definitely have to try their other menu.

Made it to San Pedro and saw this restaurant that caught my attention due to the beautiful signage outside. Decided I was in the mood for some fish tacos so went inside to order. Staff was friendly and I was helped right away. I decided to get one grilled and one battered taco. Got them to go and they came very well presented in a box, tacos comes with sauce and coleslaw. I 100% recommend the battered taco more as it's softer to eat and has more flavor. I felt the grilled taco was much drier and even the sauces didn't help. Not the best fish tacos I've ever tried but I did enjoy the battered one.

Have you ever seen a sitcom or a cartoon that shows a one-person band? The person (usually a guy) has a big drum tied to his back, like the world's bulkiest backpack. A harmonica is suspended by an iron stick in front of his mouth, so he can play it because his hands are occupied with a violin and a flute, while the inside of his knees are strapped with symbols. And his toe-steel shoes have jingle bells on their heels. The point is that this man brings the melody of symphony by his sole actions. I bring this character to light because when I went to Crazy Fish Grill Express, it was Isaac who was the one-man band, who brought, not melody, but a wonderful dining experience to me when I visited the joint. Thus, his employers should know that he is beyond a one man band, he is a one man show, and this is my standing ovation to him cause he truly deserves the praise. I went with my friend Alexa to Crazy Fish. Truth be told, I would not have gone to the joint if it were not because Isaac invited me, we sometimes see each other at the same bar. I would not have gone to this joint because I did not think it held wonder. Yes, I judged a store by its front, I know I was wrong. But I just did not think that this place would deliver great fish fare (and meat dishes too) at an extremely reasonable price. It was quality food, the same that one would expect at the Water Grill (in OC or DTLA) or Neptune's Beard (a restaurant I just named that I imagine dwells in Atlantean avenues and its city corridors). But I am so glad I gave this place a chance. I felt like I had bought a scratcher out of love for chance, and hit a minor jackpot that made me feel lucky for my decision to try. As soon as you entered, you were impacted by the material of the Ocean. My favorite fish of the school, was the mounted swordfish. I wondered if I were fighting a vampire could I use the fish's sword to stake him and win? I am writing this during spooky season, so there is a chance I discover the answer to this question, the hard way. I did not feel like this place took under the high seas. Its maritime decor was not immersive. But the decor was present enough for me to feel like I had felt the quick heartbeat of a whale rising out of the water and plunging itself back in--- splashes of water are quick and then forgotten, but their droplets around remain. Isaac came to the front after we rang the bell. Alexa and I had questions, as we ordered in the moment. I wanted to try several items, to honor my first experience within the joint. She imagined certain choices, I did the same, and our taste buds were meeting at places but not agreeing fully. When she and i were deciding on which sauce would top our salmon plate, Isaac offered us all the sauces available from Chimichuri to Garlic Butter to Seasoned Olive Oil. He transitioned from a staff member to a diplomate in that moment. The salmon plate came with two sides, we agreed on the brusselsprouts, and she selected the fries. What can you do? Sometime the basic wins. We also ordered their grilled fish taco plate, which comes with rice and beans. The fish in the taco is Mahi Mahi. It was not named in the menu. We also ordered a braise beef taco, which was refreshing to see in a fish joint. Alexa and I sat outside, the moment felt right for al fresco dining. Isaac brought the food to us, after he cooked it. The braised beef taco came first. We had to wait for plastic ware. She cut the taco, and kept all the pikcled onions on her half. I noted this to her and she shared, I wanted my half to be composed too. I took a bit of my braised beef taco half, and, it was juicy, savory, and tasted like meat that was simmered for my enjoyment. When I took a bite I turned my head to the sidewalk, the meat juices dripped without hesitation. I did not my shirt or pants to receive joy spilled, the sidewalk could handle that. The brusselsprouts were roasted to the point of glory. They rivaled the brussels that had silverware and beans served on plates, not on cardboard vessels. In fact, much of the food was delicious, I felt lucky to be its eater. But if you are looking for the grace and charm associated with higher price tags then keep on moving, because the black means that were one of the sides of the Mahi Mahi taco plate came in one of those vessels that held tater tots in high school cafeterias. But the taste of the black beans and the brown rice and the Mahi Mahi tacos all were scrumptious and true to their simple origin, but elevated. The tacos came with Crazy Sauce. It was thick and rich, but perhaps a bit less would do. I forgot to order a diet coke. Isaac simply said, " I got you" and brought me one. His service was professional, attentive and never came close to being overly sweet. It was respectful and engaging, he added depth to the moment. I hope he works to fulfill his future so he knows the ocean beyond his tank.

Generous portions. Side salad was a nice refreshing surprise.

Craving some fish and chips, so stopped by. We love calamari and of course had to order some. Overall great experience. Staff was welcoming and pleasant. Food made fresh and brought to table in no time. The batter on the fish is thicker, and more on the sweeter side, but very enjoyable. The calamari was just the way we liked it. Lightly battered and wasn't too oily. The salad that came with it was awesome. Lemon and oil dressing. Love this addition. Too bad no wine or beer, though. Bathroom needs some TLC. But would def come back if we're in the area.

Salmon fish tacos & fried shrimp tacos were fireeeee. Would like to go back and try more.

Came here with my wife after having therapy at Little Company of Mary San Pedro. We both ordered the fish and chips with no salt on the fries. The batter on the fish and chips was light and the fries crispy. Since I am on a low sodium diet, the fish and chips hit the mark with great flavor without being salty. We will be back to try the grilled fish on their menu.

The Brussels are similar to expensive restaurant quality with a little balsamic vinaigrette and parm, but a really reasonable price. Sometimes It's Not About the Food... It's About the People…read more Maybe we spoke a little too soon after our last visit... because only three weeks later, hubby and I decided to give San Pedro Fish Market another chance. Looking back now, I'm so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Danny, who has been part of the San Pedro Fish Market family for 19 years. Within minutes, he gave us a sneak peek from the outside of what's to come with the brand-new development expected to open in 2028. The future expansion will span roughly 55,000 square feet and include exciting additions like pickleball courts, a Ferris wheel, and many of the eateries people have loved over the years--just with a fresh, modern twist. Listening to Danny share stories from nearly two decades here was honestly inspiring. One story that truly stayed with us was when he shared that San Pedro Fish Market is where he met his wife. That alone speaks volumes about what this place represents. It isn't just somewhere people come to eat--it's where memories are made, friendships begin, families are built, and lives are forever changed. You could hear the pride in his voice as he talked about how many lives have been touched by this place. It made me realize that for so many people, you simply can't mention San Pedro without thinking about the Fish Market. It's become part of the city's identity. We were also welcomed by Cinderella--yes, that's really her name!--who is also the current Employee of the Month. She's been here for over 30 years, and her kindness immediately made us feel at home. She shared some of her favorite menu items with us, and you could genuinely feel how much heart she has for this place. Employees like Danny and Cinderella are exactly what make businesses special. They're the ones who create lasting memories long after the meal is over. Now onto the food! Seafood Tray Rating: 9.8/10 This visit was night and day compared to our last one. Our seafood tray came out in about 15 minutes, piping hot, incredibly fresh, and absolutely packed with flavor. It honestly reminded us why San Pedro Fish Market became so iconic in the first place. We enjoyed the fried tilapia, large scallops, baby octopus, head-on shrimp, crab legs, mussels, sausage, corn, potatoes, garlic bread, and all the delicious vegetables. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and cooked beautifully. It honestly beats every seafood spot we've tried recently, and this visit completely redeemed our previous experience. And then there was the fried calamari... I honestly have a new standard for fried calamari now. It was unbelievably tender, juicy, lightly crispy, and not rubbery whatsoever. We've ordered calamari at countless restaurants over the years, and this has officially become the one every future calamari order will be compared against. For drinks, hubby enjoyed a refreshing Modelo Michelada, while I cooled off with their Peach Margarita featuring their house tequila, chamoy, and Tajín. On a hot and humid Fourth of July afternoon, it absolutely hit the spot. It packed quite a punch, but it was delicious! The highlight of our visit, however, was meeting Scott, the General Manager. We spent time talking with him about his 35 years in the hospitality industry and his journey with San Pedro Fish Market. What stood out most wasn't just his experience--it was his passion. Listening to him speak about the future of this place, the people behind it, and the history that has made it so iconic reminded me that San Pedro Fish Market has never just been about seafood. It's about generations. It's about family traditions. It's about people creating memories together. Nothing will ever replace the original 65 years of history that made San Pedro Fish Market what it is today. Change is never easy, especially for a place with so much history behind it. But after hearing the stories, seeing the vision, and meeting the people who continue to pour their hearts into this place every single day, I truly believe this is simply the beginning of a new chapter. I cannot wait to see what 2028 brings when the new San Pedro Fish Market opens its doors. I have no doubt that new memories, new traditions, and new generations of families will continue to gather here for years to come. Thank you to Danny, Cinderella, Scott, and everyone who made us feel so welcomed. Your kindness, passion, and genuine hospitality reminded us that the best restaurants aren't remembered just because of the food... They're remembered because of the people. Until we meet again very soon... Happy Eats, and Happy Fourth of July!

I'm not sure how to feel about this place…read more Has a parking lot and TONS of seating, I live nearby so I walked over. Inside is a huge section of picnic tables with QR codes to help you view the menu and order as they deliver right to your table. Service is a 10/10. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and helpful. Food is where I'm lost. Shrimp plate had great flavor, a little too oily but that's to be expected. Shrimp & Chips had food flavor and breading to them but everything came out cold. My only conclusion for this is that we are in outdoor seating and it's always windy here, so I recommend sitting as close to the Kitchen as you can if you want a hot meal. I'm a little saddened that the experience wasn't great despite only hearing amazing things about this place, but I will return when the permanent location opens up.

Inside is beautiful and Bailey was our server. She was super knowledgeable and walked us through the food items we should definitely try. Thank you Bailey for the wonderful service. The Peruvian scallops were another level in flavors. We also tried the fatty tuna tostada, cheesy egg toast, biscuit and gravy and the fried chicken. everything was super good. You can tell they put a lot of thought behind each dish. We also tried some drinks. Mahalo at your boy and bergamot spritz. I really enjoyed mahalo at your boy because the flavors were simple but together were beautiful. My boyfriend enjoyed his spritz. I tasted it and I'm not a huge fan of gin but I could tell that is something a gin drinker would like.

There is also a nice outdoor patio with additional seating. Service was excellent from checking in at the reception desk, definitely make reservations, through our food/beverage service. Our server was friendly and very helpful! He was very attentive and made sure our water glasses stayed filled! We were a party of six and everyone enjoyed their meals. Most of us left with to go containers, their portions are very generous! Two in our party had the Swordfish Milanese, excellent; two had sandwiches, Blackened Chicken and Italian Mortadella, excellent; and I had the Blue Cheese Iceberg Salad with a bowl of Jim's Clam Chowder, both were excellent! Parking was easy. They have a large lot onsite. We went at lunch time and it was crowded, yet still open parking spots! I have heard great things about Trani's and it really lived up to its reputation.

Lots of indoor tables and booths. Lots of stools around the bar. They serve breakfast as well.as lunch and dinner. We went for an early lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded yet. Parking was easy and they have their own lot. Watch for the small "Chowder Barge" sign low down while traveling on Henry Ford! It's a ahort walk down to the restaurant down the gangway. The food and drinks. My.husband ordered the Caprain size Michelada. Housemade mix with Draft Midelo (choice of several.beers on draft). We started with cups of chowdet, very filling! We shared a 2-piece Fish & Chips Basket along with a Dinner Salad. Plenty of food for the two of us. Fish waa a bit heavier coated for my taste but the cod inside was great! The coleslaw wa excellent! The Garden salad had cucumbers and beets. The blue cheese dressing was so good! Service was excellent and very attentive. Nina was our server. She was very friendly and helpful!..we will definitely be returning!

We get inside. We get seated. Look at the menus. Menu shows they had Diet Coke. My daughter and I both ordered one. When it arrived we both thought it tasted weird. I mention it to the server "that's because it's Coke Zero" Diet Coke and Coke Zero are not interchangeable, guests should be made aware of this especially when the menu says Diet Coke and that's what was asked for. Another note, fountain drinks only had one free refill. I ordered fish and chips, my daughter got the ham and grilled cheese sandwich with "fries", my friend ordered the clam chowder and her daughter got the shrimp basket. First, the "fries and chips" were not fries. They were potato wedges. Although potato wedges are fried potatoes they are not French fries. The fish part of my fish and chips wax good. The tartar sauce was sweet and that threw off my taste buds. My daughter and friend's daughter both enjoyed their orders. My friend said she'd give the clam chowder a 6/6.5. I tasted it. It wasn't bad, but tasted more bacon than clam. It was definitely an experience eating here. I forgot to mention when the check came it had a credit card fee on the check without knowing if I was paying with cash or card.

I like the front entrance. They also have a side entrance but it's not as appealing to the eyes. A handful of tables outside in a patio area with a couple of TVs. When you walk in, it's like walking into a wine bar. At least that's the vibe I received. But it's a small family restaurant. Which is dope. Look like I arrived just in time for happy hour. The bar area gives this chill and intimate vibe especially with the many wine bottles being displayed. And the bartender is right there to service you with no problems. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Even the two older women who didn't decide to speak until Barbara the bartender sat a bit late of fried calamari in front of me lol. That indeed sparked great conversation amongst the 3 of us. Talking about calamari and sone other restaurants. I'm used to drinking my Moscow Mules out of copper cups so this grey one was different and it was smaller in size but the drink itself was definitely refreshing. Wasn't tryna rush it lol. And It's $7.20 during happy hour. The calamari for me could have been seasoned better or more. I also would've preferred it to be fried a lil bit longer. I love mines crispy or a lil bit hard and not so chewy. With that being said, Barbara said to let them know next time. However, I believe it's a popular item and I could see why, especially with the portion size. It's very generous indeed. For $10.80 I would too. Barbara made me a Mojito and it was perfect. Very refreshing. Took my time with that also lol. A price of $7.20 you can't beat that at all. Very good price I must add. I personally think and feel like the filet mignon tacos were fire. No lie. It was tender. It was flavorful. Good portion size. I liked the presentation and flavors coming from everything. They're not street tacos either lol I would definitely get those again but I think they're only available during happy hour. 2 tacos for $10.80 during happy is an awesome deal. Before I left I thanked everyone for their service and even had the opportunity to chop it up with some staff members. Everyone was real cool. Fasho fasho. Barbara even introduced me to the chef on my way out. I believe his name is Angel. Great dude !!! and we also had a great conversation. I love the location. I love the service. I love the vibes and I love the food. Check em out for yourself if you're in the area or just wanna take a ride to somewhere new. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I have been wanting to try their eggs Benedict. They offer more than a half dozen options…read more Those of you who know eggs Benedict know it's all about the hollandaise sauce. Seaside Bistro claims homemade hollandaise. It is TERRIBLE, and COLD! It is also too sweet. What? I make hollandaise from scratch and the ingredients are simple: egg yolks, lemon juice, butter, salt, pepper and a little cayenne. I doubt that it was made scratch "in house", maybe they had a starter that they stirred together so they can say "homemade." Any way it was horrible, too thin, too sweet, not enough acid and not warm. The English muffin, ham, eggs and potatoes were good though. We were the only people in the restaurant at 9:30am and the service was lacking. Our server was on her phone and never came to check on us. We had to yell for her attention. I had high hopes but was disappointed. Stay away from the eggs Benedict.
