    Salmon Sashimi
    Thomas M.

I stopped into Crazy Rock 'N Sushi today for lunch, and I was not disappointed! The restaurant was cozy and clean with Madonna playing on the stereo. The service was fast and friendly, with everyone helping out with bringing food and the check. I ordered the Tuna Tacos for an appetizer, yum! Three tacos came out on a bed of panko flakes. The tuna was served on light and delicately crisp shells, drizzled with Japanese mayo. Next was the trio of salmon sashimi, thick cut, and buttery. Lastly, I ordered the House Roll - Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and avocado wrapped with cucumber Served with House sauce. It was a delightful lunch! I will be back to try more rolls and appetizers. Enjoy!

Didn't love the sushi. The lunch special is good value for sure but sushi just didn't taste that great- tasted like Lower end pre-frozen fish recently defrosted (vs fresh sashimi I am usually used to). Service was also particularly slow (it was a 2 pm weekday lunch, only other 2 tables were occupied when we arrived). Space is cozy and welcoming . I would not go back.

Soooo disappointed so bad. Ordered take out. First off, I ordered the Mango Salmon roll because of what it has listed: Salmon avocado and cream cheese. It was only salmon and mango. The salmon tasted of nothing special at all. Next I got spicy tuna crispy rice that truly tasted awful I couldn't even finish it :/ The spicy tuna tasted fishy beyond belief. Super upset by misleading menu/ingredients and fish that tasted like it went bad

It was pretty average. Better than grocery market sushi quality. Several of the rolls had shifted over in the container. It's a convenient delivery option for a quick sushi fix. The menu had variety.

The food was so good and the servings were big. Like the prices definitely reflect what you get. Also Pam WASSSS AMAZINGGGG. She was extremely kind and helpful over the phone. Our server I think his name was David was also extremely helpful. The music ??? GOOOOOD. The vibes were so good and the chefs were also so kind and welcoming. 100/10 recommend My friend is also gluten free and they were so accommodating and helpful in helping her

Good experience! This was a unique one. Started off a little rough as they seemed very understaffed, but they came through. My spouse and I felt like things were lagging and it took us a long time to get our edamame we ordered. We couldn't tell if they were just incredibly behind or if they gave our edamame to the wrong tables, but it got to the point where we were about 90% done with our dinner and then they finally brought it out. The staff had good intuition because low-key I was getting a little frustrated, but without even asking they comped it for us and we're incredibly attentive for the remainder of the night. I really appreciate things like that. Overall, their rolls are quite large. Between myself and my spouse, we ordered 3 rolls and couldn't finish it. 2 could of sufficed but 3 ended up being more variety. I'd come back here again, it's a chill spot and it doesn't seem overly fancy or bougie which I appreciate as well.

Food was phenomenal! Service seems kind of avoidant and made the ambiance a little weak and depressing but it's still a cutely decorated and quick place to get food. Red Spider: 8/10 Red Dragon: 7.5/10 Hungry Sweetie: 10/10

Decent sushi place with solid dishes. My friend and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. We came right at opening so there was no wait! The restaurant itself is spacious with table and bar seating. The menu is large with many rolls, appetizer, and entree options. I got a sashimi salad ($15), my friend got the chirashi ($30), and shared an albacore roll ($16). We also got a hot tea. The hot tea came out cold first but the waiter was nice and did not charge us for the 2nd one. Albacore roll had a citrus sauce, a little too much red onions on it but a lighter roll. Sashimi salad had decent amount of sashimi and light dressing. Not the best sashimi but filling and a solid meal. My friend liked her chirashi but said there was too much rice. Overall a family oriented eatery with large portions. Would love to try the sashimi my next visit!

    Mixed Tempura

We're enjoyed the food a lot! The portions are surprisingly big and the service is great. We had crunchy roll, mango salad, mixed tempura, crunchy baked salmon and tons crispy rice- everything was great. Highly recommended.

Decided to come back because the first time I wasn't super hungry and was trying to eat healthy. Came here for a pre-show dinner and loved everything we got. They have so many good choices, wish it was AYCE so I can get more! Tiger tail roll Black Dragon roll Popcorn Shrimp roll Shrimp Tempura roll

Enjoyed our meal. The sunrise roll was great and the fish was fresh. We will be back.

Arrived on a Friday night around 5:30 PM and there was already a pretty decent line waiting to be seated. The interior dining area is fairly small, seating about 20 people total. We waited about 20 minutes for a party of three so not bad at all. The service was great, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. The interior dining area was a bit loud which was expected with how many folks were sitting in there eating and talking in addition to the music above, but it's manageable and nothing super overwhelming. Their menu is simple, but at the same time you have plenty of options. The go to order is obviously the Katsu combinations, which comes alongside a cabbage salad, miso soup, white rice, pickled daikon, and jalapeños, and don't forget their addictive katsu sauce. We tried their Hako Katsu, Hamburg Katsu, Cheese Katsu, potato croquettes, takoyaki, and shrimp tempura. Everything was well executed simple yet with a depth of flavor. Check out my photos for these items! We will absolutely be back and so glad that we finally tried this little hidden gem of a Katsu shop!

Our order arrived quickly and was neatly packaged in a beautiful bento-style box, making for a great first impression. **Curry Tonkatsu: 5/5** The tonkatsu was the highlight, with golden, crispy breading and a pronounced crunch in every bite. The curry had a bold, deeply savory taste that complemented the cutlet exceptionally well. Steamed rice cut through the richness, while the crunchy cabbage salad provided a light, refreshing contrast. A side of pickled radish and jalapeños added a bright acidity, with the creamy, tangy katsu sauce pairing perfectly with the fried cutlet. Portion sizes were impressively generous, leaving plenty to enjoy later. We also upgraded to a combo with a California roll and gyoza, though both sides were fairly unremarkable by comparison. **Tanuki Udon: 5/5** Simple yet incredibly comforting, the tanuki udon featured a warm broth with a delicate sweetness and plenty of umami depth. The noodles were thick, chewy, and bouncy, making them especially satisfying to eat. An assortment of toppings further elevated the dish, layering in complex flavors and contrasting textures. Overall, Hako absolutely delivered with its delicious, well-executed dishes and is a must-try for anyone craving a hearty Japanese meal.

The ambiance is intimate by design: the bar seats only 20-30 people, wrapped tightly around the sushi counter. It's not the spot for a date night or a family outing, but for a quick lunch with one or two people, it's ideal. Service is speedy and consistently kind, which matters given the counter's close quarters -- everything moves efficiently without ever feeling rushed. Drinks are what you'd expect from a sushi bar: a solid rotation of Japanese beers and sake. Nothing adventurous, but a good, reliable selection. The food is where Rol shines. My wife and I always order a variety of rolls -- this visit, she loved the blue crab and scallop, while I couldn't get enough of the spicy tuna. The wasabi sauce and truffle soy sauce elevated everything, and are reason enough to keep coming back on their own. I've also had the truffle nori roll twice now, and while it's genuinely very good, I don't think it justifies the extra cost over the standard rolls -- the regular menu is strong enough that the upcharge doesn't feel necessary. Expect to spend around $50 per person for a satisfying lunch or dinner. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the portions are still generous, and prices are still reasonable. My tofu salad filled me up, and I still had half of my greens left. My spouse ordered a chicken teriyaki and tempura teishoku with an additional side salad. His plate was heaped with teriyaki chicken, and he couldn't finish half of his rice, half of the chicken, and most of his salad. My mom ordered eel kabayaki as a set meal, and also had plenty to eat. I enjoyed the sesame dressing on my salad, but was surprised at the large vegetable chunks. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, however. My salad was topped with dried bonito flakes and finely shredded nori. It hit the spot. My mom thought her eel was a little dry, but she liked the slightly sweet sauce over it. She liked the seaweed salad, even if it was sweeter than she expected. She thought her salad was nothing special, but had no complaints about the miso soup. The vegetables in her side salad were cut thinly, as one normally finds in a Japanese restaurant. My spouse enjoyed his tempura and teriyaki, but was surprised to find the sauce under the chicken rather than brushed over it. In any case, the flavors were authentic and we were satisfied with our meal. Service was attentive, and the staff kindly moved us to a quieter corner when a large and chatty party sat near us. Although the space does not have curtains to absorb sound, the floor is carpeted so it's not as noisy as many other restaurants. Unlike most sushi restaurants, Taiko actually cares about the complete picture of Japanese food. You can get both sushi and Japanese comfort food for a reasonable price. This will always have me coming back.
