Big party and we had the private room. I like the go grab it yourself Everything option, including all the meats. It just makes sense! Good selection and they had fresh beef and shrimp balls a lot of variety of meat cuts, a seafood bar, a noodle bar, a hot food bar, a fried food bar, a balls bar, a dumpling bar, a condiment bar. So many bars.... Fun experience. It is a bit pricey. Please come and create your own adventure.

Located at Tustin Legacy, there's plenty of parking. I've heard good things about this spot so I was glad to finally try. We had a party of 13 since we were having a farewell dinner for my friend. We made a reservation ahead and they put us on one of the private rooms. We had our own room which was really nice since it was intimate. There were 12 individual pots total and so we had one of our friends share. I was honestly overwhelmed going in because there were so many different food sections and the signs were overstimulating. It's nice since you can get your own meat. The meat displayed is for the basic menu. They have a good amount of veggies and sides. They have a sauce section and have little posters providing examples of sauce combos. They have sushi as well as a hot food bar with items like nuggets and burgers. My favorite was the milk tea machine. Sadly the ice cream machine was broken when we went. The overall quality of the meat was really good. It melt in my mouth. I got the tom yum soup base and it was a spice that slowly built up. I had to request for a different soup to mix in to tone it down. It was hard to enjoy at first. Shoutout to our server Chris who made our experience great! He was attentive and friendly.

Kept passing by this in the tustin plaza over the past year and have been wanting to try it, finally got the chance to and redeemed my birthday meal from chubby plus membership :) Was originally going to try the lake forest location but please do note that this tustin location is hot pot while the other wagyu factory locations in brea and lake forest are bbq. At $49.99 for the standard price, you get a good variety of different food items. It's a self serve buffet unless you order the premium option which is around $15(?) more for unlimited a5. The standard option already includes unlimited salmon and unagi sushi, dimsum, curry rice, fried snacks, burger, lobster roll, cakes, lychee/passionfruit slush, oolong milk tea, soda machine, sauce bar similar to haidilao, meat station and veggie stations. Compared to mikiya, this place has a lot more options. My faves were the udon, wagyu chuck tender, quail egg, japanese tonkotsu broth, oolong milk tea. our server britney was very friendly and she said it was her first day serving which didnt seem like it at all to me. she was super nice and helped us out a lot but it was pretty random because a different girl had taken our soup orders first and then she disappeared lol. We were confused but britney ended up being able to help us out so it was fine. There was an offputting burnt smell around certain areas prob bc other guests forgot to turn off their pots and no one checked it. it smelled really bad. some of the walkways for thr food in the back area where the sodas are were also tight to walk through but other than that it was a nice ambience.

TL:DR - delicious! Go... Parking - get ready to cry. Get frustrated. Park way out there by Petsmart and hike in. it's okay Ambiance - light, happy Service - top notch. Super friendly and helpful Food - went with sukiyaki and tonkatsu. Sukiyaki was killer Sauces - Ponzi beat sesame. A surprise Meat - amazing. Come load up and get some meat sweats!!! Take only what you can eat else an additional 20% charge! Seafood in the very back so scan first Pro tip - scan all stations BEFORE you try Pro tip #2 get a plate located beneath the stations so you have more room at the table

Really solid hot pot with a TON of sides, drinks, and dessert. $44 for chubby club members for dinner, and it seemed to be a good value. The quality of the meat is good enough, as well! I didn't see king crab this time, but that's okay because it wasn't that good anyway when we tried it last visit (it was covered in some kind of chili sauce). Plain crab legs would be amazing though!

We came here to celebrate my son's birthday and we were able to make reservations online which made the process very easy and efficient. We were greeted by our server and he showed us the different types of soup bases we can choose from. I really like that it's individual pots so we can all have our own soup bases. I chose the sukiyaki base and it was not too sweet or too salty which was perfect. I really liked the variety of different cuts of wagyu beef, pork and lamb and also a lot of vegetables and sides options. There was a lot of hot prepared food as well as sushi options. To end the meal I got the self serve ice cream and there were cakes and egg tarts too. The store is very nicely decorated. It's definitely a good place to eat at especially with my hungry teenage boys! We have the chubby group membership so we were able to get member pricing.

Wow! Another chubby group restaurant added to the book. I personally love shabu so this place was right up my alley! It had sushi, hot foods, dessert, drinks, etc. Staff was attentive!

Such a great AYCE wagyu hot pot experience in Tustin! They have Japanese A5, Australian M9, and American Wagyu, plus seafood, sushi, hot dishes, dim sum, and desserts. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and modern, and the service was friendly and attentive. I especially loved the fresh seafood and Wagyu sliders. Great quality, lots of variety, and amazing value. Definitely worth trying!

THE GOOD: Overall, there's a good selection of fresh wagyu, veggies, seafood, and drinks. You can go up and get meat refills without waiting. Given how it's wagyu, I like that there were leaner cuts without it being all fatty. The broths we got were nicely seasoned. THE MEH: I wish they had more hot pots in the booths for 6 ppl- there was only 2 so broth choices were limited and fishing out things you put in was a little difficult. The table for 4 had their own pots...Our server came around once or twice then disappeared until it was time to pay. We literally had to bus our own table. *They add gratuity for large groups and only accept one method of payment so keep that in mind when going with a group.*

Our hot pot and meat/veggies :)

Lots of options, meat was good quality. I like how you can grab the meat yourself instead of having to order/wait for the servers. Besides meat, there's a variety of appetizers and a good assortment of desserts that include egg tarts, small cakes, and soft serve ice cream. The egg tarts were surprisingly good, although it was very buttery/heavy, so I definitely can't too many of them, haha. The drink station was also great with so many options and the drinks aren't too sweet either. It does get crowded around the meat/food/drink stations though since the aisles are pretty narrow. While we were already impressed with the food, the service we received was even more impressive. Our server Evelyn was a total sweetheart and so attentive to our table. She made hot tea for my parents, helped us defrost our meat, and just brought us anything we needed with a smile and wonderful attitude. Considering how busy it gets, I was blown away with her attention to detail and how quick and efficient she was. I'd definitely recommend this place for any hot pot lovers.

AYCE, but there's no food to eat... Concept was good, execution was poor. They did not refill the food fast enough so people started grabbing a ton when it did finally refill. Most of the time there was no meat and I kept having to get up to check if they refilled. This was such a stressful dining experience. Meat quality was good (when I finally got some), other food options were mediocre at best. The space was very narrow and you have to be careful not to bump into other people. There were several flies flying around the food since everything was just left open. Overall, definitely not worth the price and I will not be coming back. There are plenty of other AYCE shabu places in OC that's cheaper and you don't have to stress over getting your food.

    Danica V.

Great Shabu spot, came for a birthday on a weeknight and the line was not too shabby, we did the upgrade for premium since it's a celebration, +$30 from their base price. This review is mainly for this as I thought it wasn't worth the extra "premium" price, they didn't serve the premium lobster nor abalone during the weekday and you pay nearly the same price I also found that the buffet spread was lacking, lots of times it was not refilled, the ice cream machine and some of the drinks were not working either. Service was also rather slow.

    Mary Anne W.

Reservations only, there's an iPad in the front area. Before being seated your table has to be ready. Great staff members they constantly check on us, amazing food selections on meat, veggies, seafood, noodles, dipping sauce station . Their dim sum and their dessert wasn't the best, and surprisingly they had a couple of sushi selections too. Inside is very modern, their drink selections were neat, from your regular drinks to slushies. The restaurant itself is very clean in the inside. When something runs low, they immediately replenish the food which is very nice! The best broth our waiter said to try is the Sukiyaki hands down! It goes very nicely with udon noodles.

Very tasty. I ordered the chicken katsu dinner that came with miso soup, pickled daikon, a cabbage salad, rice and a delish sauce for dipping. Very Disppointing Treatment of a Service Dog…read more We have been frequent customers of Marufuku Ramen in Irvine, because we genuinely enjoy their ramen, sometimes eating here almost every other day. Unfortunately, after what happened today I am extremely;y disappointed with the customer service of a waitress. Because it was very hot outside, I asked to dine inside with my service dog and my son, " without even asking me the appropriate questions first. I found it inappropriate and upsetting that she simply decided on her own that my dog was not a service animal.. "she presumed" She then asked for a service dog certificate. Service Dogs in the US. are not required to carry a special certificate or identification. Nevertheless I even showed her my dogs US DOT Service Animal Air Transpotation Form that i use for the air travel. After seeing it, she told me, "Okay next time when you come back, I will let you in!!! (Do you really think we will go back to eat ramen with your atrocious customer service???). and she continued by saying, if she is not there, I would have to explain or show it again to someone else. why should a regular customer have to repeatedly go through this every time we eat in this restaurant??? We came here because we love the ramen and became loyal customers, , sadly good food does not make up for being made too feel unwelcome or having a legitimate service dog questioned in this manner. Marufuku Ramen should properly train its staff regarding service animals and how customers with service dogs should be treated. This was an embarrassing, unnecessary and very disappoint experience from a restaurant we used to enjoy frequently! The ambiance is intimate by design: the bar seats only 20-30 people, wrapped tightly around the sushi counter. It's not the spot for a date night or a family outing, but for a quick lunch with one or two people, it's ideal. Service is speedy and consistently kind, which matters given the counter's close quarters -- everything moves efficiently without ever feeling rushed. Drinks are what you'd expect from a sushi bar: a solid rotation of Japanese beers and sake. Nothing adventurous, but a good, reliable selection. The food is where Rol shines. My wife and I always order a variety of rolls -- this visit, she loved the blue crab and scallop, while I couldn't get enough of the spicy tuna. The wasabi sauce and truffle soy sauce elevated everything, and are reason enough to keep coming back on their own. I've also had the truffle nori roll twice now, and while it's genuinely very good, I don't think it justifies the extra cost over the standard rolls -- the regular menu is strong enough that the upcharge doesn't feel necessary. Expect to spend around $50 per person for a satisfying lunch or dinner. All in, Rol Handroll Bar is a great go-to for an elevated casual, satisfying meal -- just don't expect it to double as a date-night destination.
