I was looking for a sushi place in my area because all the other ones near me are just ok, but then I found this place and straight when we walked in I knew it was going to be really good. The menu has so many things so you will never have to get the same thing twice. The inside has a lot of bamboo and cherry blossom looking trees. Overall we enjoy Crazy stone. Frankly they were much better in the beginning. Great food and great service, but recently it's been a bit of hit and miss especially on service and take out orders. We love their specialty sushi John's combos, can't go wrong with either along with the chutoro hand roll and futomaki. Definitely a step up and different than most other places around this part of burbs. Makes me miss traveling a lot less knowing I can get quality sushi locally. They also have some excellent rolls and my kids always love their apps like the money bag, gyoza and their teriyaki dishes and fried rice. This is a pretty cool spot. The rolls here are huge so beware. Two rolls are good for two people unless you have a serious appetite. The menu is pretty large and the selection is great. The service was spot on for sure. I love that they offer Uni and Wagyu. Very rare for a place to offer either. The sushi chefs here are also nice. read more

Came on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm as a party of two and was seated immediately. There's a good amount of seating available and the decor is super cozy. We ordered Chicken Katsu as an appetizer, then we got the three roll Lunch Special. We ordered the Yellowtail, Spicy Tuna, and the Salmon Cucumber rolls, as well as the Fish Cake special roll. The Fish Cake roll was definitely a standout, not only because of its rectangular shape, but also because I'm a big fan of unagi. This restaurant was recommended off of a tik tok and I have to say it's definitely a hidden gem (almost missed the turn into the parking lot)! Not only is this place good but it's so cute and dainty inside. They have a super cute cherry blossom tree that you can write and hang your wishes on. The staff are always so so friendly every time I come here and so very attentive despite being busy or not! Coming here, I would definitely getting the money bags (they're similar to crab rangoons but they top it off with a super good sweet and sour sauce-like along with some jalapeños). The salmon dream was good, it's definitely different and a fancier dish, something I would expect at like Nobu or something. The spicy seafood salad was also really good, comes with tuna, Salmon, shrimp, imitation crab, fish eggs (basically all of the seafood in a salad) definitely a good starter. We got the wayside roll which was okay, I know they have other better ones but I can't remember the names. The pricing at this restaurant is so good, you could literally order a bunch of stuff and the bill at the end of the dinner wouldn't even be that bad, who doesn't love that?! read more

Our party of four had an excellent dinner here, and we'd be happy to return. We sampled quite a few appetizers including an Out of Control Roll, Salmon Sushi appetizer, Spicy Tuna Roll and Salad Sampler. Our entrees included: * Sashimi Combo * Chicken Habachi * Crazy Stone Steak My Sashimi Combo had a great presentation, and the sashimi were large and fresh. The Chicken Hibachi was huge, and the diner brought half of it home. The steaks arrive on a hot stone, and you essentially cook it to your own temperature. Definitely not recommended for children! The steaks were declared to be good but not great. Overall, I'd rank this in the 4 to 4.5 start category, so we'll give it a solid 4-stars! read more

This was the worst sushi I've ever had. The tuna looked like silly putty not red but peach color and inedible. Even the gyoza was awful just half cooked. Very disappointed and normally I don't do reviews but I hope this will help someone else thinking of trying this place. read more

Ordered a sushi deluxe and order of toro. It was mid grade at best. Usually this spot is excellent. Not sure what happened tonight. The phish was fairly dry and instead of uni or ikura, they gave a piece of sushi with some mini squid. It was abhorrent in taste. Not a sub for what they usually include. The toro was barely better than the normal tuna and tasted like it was sitting in a pool of mixed fish sweat. At 48 for the sushi deluxe and 14 for the toro (via door dash) I expect it to be 100% on point at all times or don't offer it for delivery. read more

Wow!! This place was amazing. I got the Tuna Lover which was excellent. It is a non-rice roll full of tuna made multiple ways. So good. Spicy and delicious. To make things better it is topped with seaweed salad and avocado. Good salad and soup. I also got the stone steak. They bring out a hot stone to cook the steak on. So good. Simple, yet delicious. Two words: Money. Bags. We honestly just got it because we thought the name was funny and wanted to try something different, haha. SO GLAD WE DID! Similar to crab Rangoon, but it has salmon in it (which you barely taste but carries a light, flavorful note). It sits on a bed of guacamole (weird, right?), with a jalapeño ring on top and drizzled with a tangy sauce. It may be one of the best appetizers I've ever experienced (and yes- it's an experience). A MUST order! We also ordered the salmon and steak (two separate dishes) on the stone with sides of spicy fried rice and hibachi veggies in brown sauce. These came with a flavorful, ginger-dressing salad and savory onion soup. The rice was FIRE! One of the best rice recipes I've ever tasted. I should have ordered one to go (tempted). The veggies were crisp. I'm not even a fan of veggies- and I couldn't stop eating them. They were THAT good. Cooking the fresh, tender meat was just plain fun...plus you know it will come out exactly how you want it cooked! And last (because we are greedy), we ordered the Singapore noodles, extra spicy. They delivered a heaping plate to the table filled with chicken, beef, veggies, etc. Maybe our eyes were too big for our stomachs, but we oh soo enjoyed this dish! Another "must try". I was actually really impressed with this place. Ordered the teriyaki plate which comes with rice, salad & soup. At first it seemed a bit expensive for $20 but the portions are huge and the food is yummy. Also tried the spider roll and I loved it- the shrimp tempura in it was super crunchy. I've tried several different sushi restaurants and none will compare to Crazy Stone. I am a regular at this location for many years , I go approximately once or sometimes twice a week. I'm always on the look out for a decently priced, good sushi place. I'm not sure this place fits the bill for me and I'm honestly sad about it. After two tries, This place has gotten a huge meh from me. The sushi just hasn't been great. Each time there's just something slightly off. Even with the simple spicy tuna, I've just not found the taste to be quite right. The combinations on a few rolls have just not worked for me. it's sad because the service is speedy and they're nice. Really impressed by this place. Their tuna is top notch, sushi is fresh and they understand flavors really well. Standout dish was the Greed Garden roll, and will be a major reason why we will be back. Vegetarian sushi options are plentiful and tasty. Also got some hibachi veggies and a chicken katsu, both of which were lovely. The veggies weren't too salty at all, which is a common issue we see from hibachi grills. (Pokebowl moderate sized) Numbers Chu-Toro with black Truffle: 10/10 (MUST ORDER DISH) Chu-Toro Handroll: 9/10 (Able to savor the Chu-Toro) Tempura: 8.25/10 (Great for price and portion) Pokebowl: 8.5/10 (Moderate size for price) Go-to restaurant when I'm in the area. I've dined here about 8 times now, and the food has been phenomenal and consistent Chu-Toro is phenomenal by far the best I've had. The Chu-Toro is quite rich and savory, but pairs amazingly well with the black truffle. The truffle adds another layer to the natural flavor of the toro in such a way that enhances without overpowering or detracting from decadent taste. Hand-rolled Chu- Toro vs Chu-toro Nigiri with black truffle Honestly such a difficult choice... Short answer: Chu-toro Nigiri with black truffle On one hand I enjoy the Hand-roll because it forces me to savor every bite of the toro, however the lack of truffle means a much more potent Toro taste, which although I love and enjoy others may not appreciate it as much as I do. I've ordered the Chu-Toro with black truffle several times now, but the last time I ordered 4 pieces and it came with a special wasabi. That wasabi was phenomenal. You can tell it is much higher quality and hand ground Japanese horseradish. It's not as harsh or potent as the typical wasabi. The chef recommends you put some on the chu-toro and I approve of this recommendation. In case it wasn't apparent, I come here for the chu-toro. I might start only ordering rolls of chu-toro although my accountant might have a heart attack. Now onto the other food. I've had the poke bowl and several other items (ex. Spider roll, Philadelphia roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, tempura (veggies and shrimp). I enjoyed the poke bowl and the spicy tuna roll the most. I haven't found too many restaurants in Boston that I've enjoyed, but I'd recommend this place for sure. read more

The sushi is top notch but the view is out of this world! Many tables have a view of a large lake filled with birds and wildlife. Once I counted 12 Swans swimming out back but it's always beautiful!
